An excellent place to stay on the Isle of Skye. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. A very warm and friendly greeting from our host Margaret when we arrived. Everything was set in place for Covid too, she wore a mask constantly and there was sanitizer available as you entered and in the rooms.
It was spotlessly clean the breakfast room had dividers between each tables but they were not unsightly or made you feel claustrophobic as they were clear and modern looking. The breakfast was amazing too, well presented and great choice.
Go on give this place a go you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Margaret.

What fantastic retreat so peaceful quiet . Immaculate rooms warm comfortable all needs catered for including a small fridge with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Breakfast was fantastic big portions of lovely freshly cooked food
The views all around are spectacular and give the experience of a true skye retreat away from the bizz of town life. Great place to drive and explore from. Margaret looked after us from the minute we arrived

Superb! Margaret is a lovely host, our room and property was spotless - my wife is very picky and she couldn't find a fault. We enjoyed lovely breakfast every morning and loved that there was a good selection to choose from. Margaret was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We liked the location away from town, it's about 20 mins drive from Portree. Shower was great too, you feel like under a waterfall.

Stayed in the room pictured. The note in the attached and rather accommodating restroom said to only flush toilet paper so it was weird fishing my leavings out of the toilet and bagging them for the bin but otherwise Margaret was pleasant only mildly condescending to a US tourist. My spouse drove there (she insisted) so the mild myocardial infarctions I suffered were at least metered enough to manage given the steep learning curve. The place is great, not the way everyone wants to travel but if you want a quaint, gentle and polite little b&b in rural island Scotland then this one deserves your business. Just the place for avid hikers and rural tourists. I still prefer the city. Skip the haggis.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Trotternish B&B on our trip to Skye this week. What a fantastic B&B, Margaret was a great host and likes to make everything perfect. The breakfast was a very high quality and lovely and fresh. Rooms really clean and comfortable. The B&B is in a great location for exploring the Quiraing and the Fairy Glen, also only 20 minutes to Portree. Overall a brilliant stay and we will be back again the next time we visit Skye :)

Liked · Margaret was lovely and the building, on the surface, looked lovely. The location was fantastic - so rural and quiet outside. Margaret was very welcoming and a perfect host. Breakfast options were very good and we enjoyed the pancakes we had.

Disliked · The room was tiny. We were in the sheepdog room. It looked beautiful but was so small the door would not open fully and had to be stopped before it bumped the bedside cabinet. The bed was comfy enough but felt so small. There really wasn't a lot of space. The room isn't big enough for a double. It should be a single.
The most disturbing thing was that we could hear everything going on to either side of us and above us, which was two guest rooms and the breakfast room. Everything. We could hear the other guest using the toilet! We eventually fell asleep having listened to the guest upstairs walk around getting ready for bed and discussing what they were doing the next day. We woke to one guest being given bad news. It really was not very comfortable and would stop me going again.

We stayed at this B and B on the penultimate night of this B and B’s season. Margaret was so welcoming and friendly and we immediately warmed to her. She persuaded me to try the vegetarian haggis with my cooked breakfast the following morning and even remembered to bring it out on a separate plate in case I didn’t like it, but she needn’t have worried as it was delicious as was the rest of the meal. The location is fairly remote and ideal for a restful nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this place as it was excellent value for money.

An absolutely perfect place and most welcoming host! The room was spacious and well appointed. The view from our window offered the most picture perfect images of rural Skye! The breakfasts were made to order, delicious and presented in the most lovely breakfast room. Margaret has the gift of decorating in the subtle spirit of the Highlands. Leisurely walks down the lane brought us closer to Skye and made for beautiful photos! Adding to it all, the location couldn’t be more convenient for visiting the key Skye points of The Quiraing and Old Man of Stor!
We felt at home and will most definitely revisit one day! Thank you Margaret!

Margaret was very friendly, and made us feel like home. The place was very clean, and the breakfast was the best we had during our tour in Scotland. We will definitely revisit this B&B again, and would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Isle of Skye. The place is in a picturesque setting surrounded by Highland cattle and sheep. Exellent.
