This was the first time we stayed at a Disney hotel. We knew it was the value range so didn't expect much. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had nice bathrooms with shampoo & body wash & towels provided. The rooms did exactly what we needed, somewhere to keep our things, sleep and wash as we were out and about each day. Found check in easy, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The food court was a bit limited but the pizza was great value when you got back after a long day and just wanted something quick to eat. We found the refillable cups really good - yes can only be used at the hotels but we got our moneys worth just morning and nights. The kids (and I) loved the theming of the hotel and the pool was great too. Can be a bit of walking so if you do have any walking difficulties you might want to request rooms near the pool/take a scooter. We really loved the free Disney transport - we didn't hire a car (yes there is a parking fee if you do park at the hotel) and found we didn't need it at all. Regular busses and ubers were cheap and easy as well. I would certainly stay here again.

Rooms were very up-to-date n clean BUT tissue paper walls. Could hear ppl cutting thru courtyard at night down 3 flights even. Pool chilly but huge n had many lifeguards but looong list rules for both pool and poolside. Check out 10am...key card for bathrooms stops working ...next check in anywhere was 3. Onsite meal prices were as much as uber to nice local restraints even inc fair for Real meals but bfast was OK....just packed. Smoking area limited ! Couldn't get transportation easily as claimed. Everything u needed I'd call desk n be on hold or dare go to lobby n hafta wait in line. Another of walking after day at parks.... checkin was Brudel... rms not ready .. I'd definitely pass this up if ur kids aren't very young n want the characters theme. Been there n done that..Def sticking to cocokey water park hotel muuuuch closer to Universal Anand walking distance to a lot unlike disney u must drive or uber outta there disney areas for anything

We stayed at All Star Movies for 2 nights simply as we had tickets to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. ASM was $500 for the 2 nights for the family of four but it was possibly the worst $500 we’ve ever spent. Despite being the cheapest hotel at Disney, we expected more for $500 especially after staying at Universal for $500 for 2 nights at a 4* hotel. Disney is meant to be magic but All Star Movies was nothing but out dated. The huge statues look tired, rooms were renovated but cheaply and the grounds weren’t kept to the standards of the typical disney gardens. On our last day (and last day in Orlando) we used the pool and ate lunch at All Stars. The pool was heaving and despite having life guards, felt dirty and dangerous… I don’t know there was just something about it. Lunch was okay but nothing special and overpriced… very overpriced. I hate to just moan so some positives about the resort are the service and the beds. Everyone is lovely and the customer service is the best i’ve seen in hotels so I’m glad Disney pick the best of the best. The rooms felt cheap but the beds were comfy and i’m glad the resort had a classic disney feel but, maybe too classic?? Overall, I’d say the resort is fine if your doing what we were doing and just using it to sleep in for a couple of nights but honestly, could I spent over 3/4 nights here- no. Buses are a hassle, it’s very busy, small rooms and just so much premium to stay on site, I don’t see it’s worth anymore.

We were deciding between this resort and two others: Coronado Springs and also Pop Century. I am glad we chose the All Star Movies. The property is compact so nothing is far. The pools are clean and the food and transportation area are adjacent to the main lobby. We never waited more than 10 minutes for any bus to/from any of the parks or even Disney Springs. Coronado Springs is huge so we wanted to be close to our vehicle and Pop Century has the sky lift transportation to Epcot which is good for some people, but I am afraid of heights. The main reason we would definitely stay here again is the location and not having to deal with parking in the park or Disney Springs. We even checked out some other resorts and the caught the monorail (via M.K.) without having to ever move our vehicle. The room has everything you need even though it seems smaller than the average. You have more than enough charging outlets, storage space and a pull down table. The sink is separate from the shower, tub and toilet so two people can be utilizing that area at the same time. The sliding door locks tightly and offers good privacy unlike other places we stayed with a gap under/above or on the side. The fridge does not have a freezing section so keep that in mind, but ice machines are located on the floor and we always had towels available. Chess, ping pong and movie night are offered and the pools have life jackets and lifeguards with an ample supply of pool towels. Get a magic band so you can automatically open your door and don’t have to worry about a key. The resort offers so many scenic and character backgrounds to take good family pics without a crowd of people hovering in the background. Some of the bus drivers seemed like they had a major attitude but the resort staff was very nice and we would stay here again. Tip: The Disney refillable cups can only be used at the resorts not the parks, so keep this in mind before buying but most quick service dining spots offer a free cup of ice water in the mobile pickup area.

I definitely like the price point of this hotel. Property was very clean. The pool is nice and never had trouble finding chairs. Plenty of towels available. The reduced housekeeping was disappointing although I understand the staffing issue. But no garbage bags in the cans seemed to cause them to never really be clean. There is no carpet in the room and our socks got dirty. There is a beverage cooler which was great for keeping leftovers and water chilled. Most recommend not putting milk on there. I doubt they mopped between guests. The food in the food court was hit or miss. Pizza was terrible and burgers very greasy but the salads and chicken strips were fine.

Start off with the good: The resort theme is very nice. The different movie themes and props are pretty cool (although I don't think very many people remember The Love Bug). The pool is huge and fun. The eating area is pretty standard, but good. The resort is very clean and well kept. The shuttles are easy and convenient to get to. The not-so-good: The rooms are pretty small and not very private (sliding restroom door?). The insulation is almost non-existent, so you will hear a lot of outside noise. This is a value hotel, so some of this should be expected. Overall, if you are hitting up the Disney parks and don't want to bother with parking lots and such, these are the way to go if you're on a budget.

This was our first time staying at a Disney hotel. The rooms were clean so, shuttle bus was convenient so I gave them 2 stars. However the second night it was pass midnight rooms to the left and right were super loud, people playing music as they walk down the hallway, screaming and running. We called the front desk 3x but they just sent security to check the area which, wont do anything because it was still loud! They didn't actually speak to the people making the noise!! Later a guy came to spoke to us and told us they just checked in 700 people tour group, offered to change rooms. We didn't take this offer becuase we were only staying 2 more nights, and this isnt are fault so why do we have to back our bags and leave the room we paid for?! It only got worse from here. The next day we got 2 knocks from what it looks like their tour guide at 6am. There are room numbers next to door, not sure why they can't READ BEFORE HAMMERING THE DOOR WITH THEIR FIST?! Same type of knock happened that evening also around midnight, this time we opened the door to 3 young guys walking away. Seemed like they wanted to prank the girls room next door. We went out talked to the girls next door as their door was open, asking what happened. I told them this is disrespectful and we will call the police if this happens again. Called front desk twice, but didnt have anyone come talk to us until I asked for the manager. I told them we wanted an apology from the people who did this, but of course that isn't possible. She said the noise issue was being relayed to them. But that is BS, becuase it was never resolved. The only thing they could offer was room change. She said she would see if she could get us something at Hollywood studios the next day to check our disney account, but nothing was there. Unless the price is cheaper I wouldnt go stay for an upgraded motel experience.

I called Disney and told a very nice person that I have a bad hip and would like a room as close to the Disney onsite shuttle pick up/drop off area as possible. I am always in some pain, but I emphasized that by the end of the day I am in severe pain and want to walk as little as possible to reach my room. The Disney representative said that he would put a note on my reservation and there would be no problem fulfilling my request. Because I have walking difficulties that get worse throughout the day, I booked a premium location. I am now sitting in a room about as far from the shuttles to the parks as possible and still be in the premium area. I know that my bad hip is going to be screaming at me throughout this trip. I just added a star to my original (now deleted) review because I discovered that my room has a bathtub. At least I may be able to relax a few minutes when I return to my hotel.

The Disney value hotels are the most economical way to stay on-site at a Disney property. The complex features pools, laundry facilities, a food court, Disney store with a wide variety of merchandise, and buses which pick you up and take you to the parks and Downtown Disney. The pros: The value resorts feature the cheapest hotel rooms at WDW, store on-site makes it easy to shop for Disney merchandise, and the food court offers food and beverages. The hotel also accepts deliveries from local grocery stores, Target, etc which are held in the luggage storage area until you can pick it up. The property has pools which close promptly at 11 pm. A life guard is on duty. Laundry is easy to do with plenty of washers and dryers which are located next to the pool. Taking the buses to the different parks and Downtown Disney is easy and convenient. The price charged for the room was very reasonable considering that you could be paying hundreds more per night at the luxury Disney hotels. Cons: The noise is the biggest downfall. The pools close at 11pm and the staff was very good about closing right on time. However, the parks are open late, which means you will have people coming and going well past midnight. I had a room near the end of an outside hallway/walkway and had the misfortune of having a neighbor who seemed to be going back and forth between her room and the room on the other side of me. The loud talking and slamming doors until at least midnight made it impossible to sleep. The loud neighbor also left her motorized scooter outside of her room as there was no way she could have fit that through the doorway of her hotel room. She obviously should have stayed at a property offering bigger rooms. The rooms in the value hotels are pretty small. There is a queen bed and a Murphy bed which you pull down from the wall after moving the two chairs provided away from the table which is attached to downside of the Murphy bed, if you need the bed more than you need a table and two chairs, you can just leave the bed down. I left my Murphy bed in the down position and used the chairs for storing my luggage, etc. The walls are thin and you will hear other people's TVs as well as their loud talking. Final Thoughts: If you are on a budget, this is a good choice. The noise was bad, but who is to say if you spend hundreds more for one of the luxury properties that it wouldn't also be loud? The soundproofing might be better in the rooms but you are going to encounter guests talking loudly and slamming their hotel room's doors no matter where you are. Set a budget, read reviews, and choose a hotel which best suits your needs keeping in mind that who your fellow guests are is a crapshoot. The first two nights for us were quiet, but after the woman next door and her friends in the room on the other side of us moved in, things went downhill. Impossible to know who your neighbors will be, but hotel guests in general are pretty inconsiderate I have found. Please note that at this hotel, you are provided with two rolls of toilet paper for your stay. The maids doing up the rooms two or three times a week will not leave behind another roll of toilet paper even if you are out (as I found out when I returned to my room one evening to find no toilet paper in the bathroom- none). You have to go to the front desk to request an additional roll. This of course would be very inconvenient if you were returning late at night and realized that you couldn't use your toilet and had to walk back to the front desk to ask for more. Do yourself a favor, and pack additional rolls of toilet paper (as I do) so that you don't have to worry about it.

Our last trip to Disney was pre-covid. We go about every handful of years. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time but I will give the good and bad. Prices were insane, when we checked in they asked if we drove and then said, “are you aware we now charge $15 per day to park?” No I wasn’t, because nowhere did it say that. We aren’t in downtown Chicago or New York, this left me salty. For Pete’s sake, I’m paying $4 per beverage, they need me to pay to park as well? We stayed 3 nights and even Though I requested the room to be cleaned and refreshed-it never was. When we arrived, our pull down bed was dirty, the headboard had something spilled all over it. Not our best stay.
