I'm a Hilton Honors member and live about 2 hrs from Orlando, we travel there every 6 months or so for weekend getaways and usually stay in Hilton properties. Even if you get a good room rate, which I did, be prepared for the resort fee, parking fee and room tax adds up to an extra 100 a night. Ok, I accept all that because it's Orlando. Check in was quick and friendly. Even though the property is large the bar, restaurants and gift shops are all centrally located. The bathroom seemed clean but the odd thing is the room was insanely dusty. I can't imagine why a room that is cleaned regularly had so much dust. See picture of the base of the TV. My room was not cleaned each day which is just how things are nowadays post-covid even with full service hotels. I guess they've gotten used to saving $ by not performing daily room cleans. We visited the lobby bar and the drinks were good. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent and an Ok value at $30 per person for a large full buffet with omlette station and lots of nice items. The pool area was great, 2 large pools, one for kids and a quiet pool for adults. Lots of chair side service for drinks and food, plus a DJ started up around noon.

Beautiful hotel! Very nice, I loved that the app gives you a check-in with a key, which allows you to enter and leave the room, and check out without lines!
Good gym, and huge spaces
Our only complaint was that the day we checked out was at 11 a.m., and the housekeeper came knocking on our door at 10:50 a.m. reminding us that we had to leave. We thought it was unnecessary and in bad taste, but other than that; all was very good

Beautiful and well kept resort! We’ve stayed at several Hiltons and this one is our new favorite. The pool is nice, clean and very warm. Towels were always stocked and we really appreciated the fact that the waterslide was up and running and there were servers out near the pool area even though it was chilly! A lot of resorts will close certain amenities if the weather is less than ideal. We had wonderful service from Andrew and Terry. Can’t wait to return!

My Husband And I Reserved Room 1502 At This Location From 8/16-8/19 Thinking That We Were Getting A Nice Hotel Based On The Pictures And Majority Of Other Reviews. However, This Hotel Was Quite The Opposite. The Rooms Were Dirty And 2 Out Of The 4 Days That We Were There Housekeeping Didn't Bother To Clean Our Room. There Was Hair Ties And Hair From Either The Housekeeping Employees Or Previous Occupants All Over Our Bathroom. The Shower Head Was Broken. There Was A Weird And Quite Disruptive Noise That We Thought Was The Elevator That Was Nearly Constant Throughout The Day And Night. The Amount Of Dust In The Room Was Enough To Make My Husband And I Extremely Uncomfortable Throughout Our Entire Stay. The Toilets Were Stained And Gross When We Arrived. We Requested Towels And Toilet Paper On Day 2 And Only Towels Arrived And We Were Down To No Toilet Paper & Had To Go To The Lobby In Order To Use Restrooms Until We Called Again & Reminded Them We Needed More & To Inform Them That No One Came When We Called Earlier. The "Shuttle" To Universal Has Only 2 Drop Off Times (8am & 11am). This Needs To Be Outlined Better Somewhere On The Website Or Discussed On Check In. When We Checked Into The Hotel, The Staff Did Not Tell Us Anything Whatsoever About The Property. The Women At The Desk Silently Tapped Away On Her Keyboard And Handed Us A Key Without Saying A Word And Made Us Feel Awkward And Unwelcome. They Didn't Ask Us If We Wanted To Know Where The Pool/Fitness Center/Spa/Restaurants Were, Etc. There Was No One Else Around & They Weren't Busy So She Had Plenty Of Time To Do So. We Had To Figure It All Out On Our Own. The Desk Staff Were Rude And Inconsiderate. They're Clearly Are Not Held To Any Standard Because No Matter Which Employee We Encountered, They All Had The Same Disinterest In Helping Their Guests. The Fees At Checkout Were An Enormous Shock To My Husband And I And I Could Not Believe A Disgusting Property Such As This Would Charge That Much In Fees. This Hotel Requires Much Attention And I Wish I Would Have Listened To The Reviews That I Saw About The Property Before Booking. I Am A Hilton Honors Member Who Has Stayed Numerous Places In The Past And Was Shocked To Have The Experience That This Hotel Provided.

Ms. Riley, thank you for taking the time to write the review. I visited the Hilton Orlando seeking a peaceful retreat but was met with disarray instead. The hotel sells numerous resort day passes to non-guests, leading to overcrowding. Upon arrival, the lazy river area was cluttered with belongings on every chair. Inquiring with the staff yielded a dismissive direction to “check the back corner.” Even after expressing that we had already looked there, the staff member simply replied “OK” and left. This lack of concern was consistent in all interactions with the hotel personnel, who provided varying and unhelpful responses.

The buffet breakfast area was insufficient for the number of guests, creating a cramped dining experience. Additionally, the cost of $60 per person was not visibly displayed. As a Hilton Honors member, I am disappointed by this experience and have decided not to patronize this location in the future.

Steven, we're so very sorry to hear about your experience. We had over 975 pool chairs available for our guests throughout the weekend and many were available the entirety of the weekend for our guests to utilize while enjoying the pool. We truly apologize for the pool being too busy for your preference. We have an expansive pool area featuring an adults pool area, an 830+ foot lazy river, a splash pad and a massive family pool as we have an experience for everyone. We also have managers available 24/7 should an issue arise that needed attention as we would have truly enjoyed the opportunity to speak with you prior to your departure and subsequent review. We always encourage our guests to speak with a member of the management team to assist as our team is here to exceed expectations if they're provided the opportunity to. Our breakfast buffet pricing is available not only online, but also on the menu as the buffet is not $60 per person, but $30 per person. We're sorry to hear of your experience and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back home to Orlando from Brandon in the future.

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay in a “Central location” this was at the south end of all the “I-Drive” action. Near trolly stop 23.

We checked in and were greeted with smiles and friendly face everywhere! The hotel was very busy as we arrived at peak check-in time and it didn’t impact the mood of the staff one bit!

Our room was very nice, beds were not the most comfortable I’ve ever had but they were very good. Plenty of outlets and a small refrigerator, we had a pool view room and it was great!

We ate in the restaurants a few times during our stay, we enjoyed the variety of the menus and the food was delicious!! The Steakhouse was quite expensive but the pool menu and David’s Club were very reasonably priced and the shop had great quick service breakfast options (and late night options). David’s has the buffet with omelet station and carving station for breakfast and separate Lunch and Dinner menus. David’s advertised as “Burgers and Bourbon”…a nice bourbon selection, centered around a few varieties of Michters. Not much in the way of “allocated” bourbon but a nice selection of others. The pool bar was nice, plenty of wait staff around the pool and a few bartenders at the bar most of the day, a completely different menu than anything inside the hotel, a nice light menu for outdoor fare in central Florida.

Hilton offered limited transportation to and from Universal and Sea World. It was available but not an all day thing, you need to make reservations for it and it only has a few morning options and a few evening return options, but it is available. They do offer a daily pass for the trolly that runs up and down International Drive, basically from one outlet mall to the next (North to South). They have a bunch of stops all up and down I-Drive.

The Spa staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable for a resort like this one, the housekeeping staff was courteous and friendly!

Overall, this Hilton experience was among the best we have had, we are Hilton Honors members and this will be one that we DEFINITELY return to! 9.9/10!!

My feelings about this hotel are quite mixed.

On one hand, I’m very grateful that the front desk upgraded my room to a suite and accommodated my needs even after I checked out. (Special thanks to Derek and Giovana)

That said, if you’re choosing a hotel for a trip to Universal Studios like I was, I wouldn’t strongly recommend this one for several reasons.

First, while the room was generally clean, it felt really outdated. I wasn’t expecting smart features like controlling lights and AC via my phone, but the room didn’t even have enough wall switches for the lights. I had to manually twist the switches under the lamps to turn them on.

Second, there were some frustrating details: the phone in my room was broken, the button to switch between the bathtub faucet and showerhead was faulty and could be pulled out completely, and there was no microwave in the room. I had to take the elevator from the 18th floor to the 12th to use the only communal microwave, and even the lightbulb in that room was broken, leaving it pitch black. These little issues added up to an overall unpleasant experience.

Lastly, the first shuttle to Universal Studios departs at 7:25 AM, but it stops at another hotel along the way and doesn’t arrive at Universal until around 8:00 AM. The last return shuttle leaves at 8:00 PM, but since the fireworks show at Universal is at 10:00 PM, you’ll inevitably miss the shuttle if you want to watch the show. Additionally, the return shuttle was extremely crowded. I started lining up at 7:30 PM and barely managed to get on the bus, leaving around 20 people behind at the stop. On the return trip, the Hilton is the last stop, and the bus stops at six or seven other hotels along the way. If you board the bus around 8:00 PM, you won’t get back to the hotel until nearly 9:00 PM.

We had a four day vacation at the Hilton with our two boys, 8 n 9 yr old.

I have never been at a vacation where you don’t want to leave the hotel,

However, this is how that vacation went.

We arrived on a rainy Friday afternoon, and a beautiful Rachel Zeller, who worked at the tropics, which is the restaurant for the pool area, she got us hooked up with a free cabana.

It was rainy, but not thundering and lightning, so you could swim, but it was not that much fun for an adult.

My man I got to hang in that cabana and just chill and relax. And it was the most amazing start to a great vacation.

Everyone at this hotel is friendly, they are nice. They all have a nice thing to say they seem legitimate and real.

If the kids do things, they are not supposed to, no one yells at them. Staff gently walks up to them to tell them to get out of the pool because it’s lightning.

The pool slide is done so beautifully, it gets such a large number of kids through safely and they have so much fun!

The lazy river is absolutely beautiful,
And the pool is huge so there’s lots of room for swimming.

Everything was done gently here. And the atmosphere and people just made it the most amazing vacation we’ve ever had.

Yes, we had a lot of work getting those boys out of the pool. They were swimming till 11 PM when the pool closed.

Then they Would wake up and eat breakfast in the hotel room looking down at the pool talking about how much fun they had the day before.

We’ve already booked our next stay for that Hilton hotel. My boys will be a little bit older, but I know we’re gonna enjoy it.

Oh, and there’s an amazing group of affordable restaurants literally five minute drive around the corner from this place.

We were able to do this vacation for a very good price because we brought a lot of our own food and then we went to those great affordable restaurants.

First time stay...the location is great. It is tucked away between shortdrive two exits and International drive. As a result you do not need to fight traffic for access. Publix is a couple of minute drive to stock up if necessary. All the resort facilities are easy to access. No need to walk a mile to pool, restaurants, etc. Lobby and elevators are centrally located which minimizes walking to less than two minutes. This includes the self park area. If you like sports they have an open bar in the lobby and sports restaurant just below it. The 24 hour market place was great. When we got back at 2am from HHN, we were able to order some hot snacks and drinks. The main restaurant was closed for renovations unfortunately. However, it did not take away from the experience. The family enjoyed the pool with lazy river, water slides, hot tubs, foosball, pool table, corn hole, and fire pits at night. The pool was open til 11pm which was great. We will definitely be back. Some cons, you needed to remember to tell the staff of the 15% discount included in the resort fee even when charging to the room. I thought that was a bit suspicious.

This was a case of expectations vs. reality. In point form;

Pros
- Food options were exceptional. We visited both Todovos and Fastbreak multiple times. Food was fantastic each time. Prices were very fair as well
- Location is wonderful for anything on I-Drive. Rideshare was about $8 to any place on the strip.
- Pools and lazy river were great.
- Beds are very comfy

Cons
- Property is definitely showing its age, for a supposed 4 star resort the rooms are worn and dated.
- There wasn't a single USB port in the room. When I asked to borrow a "brick" from the front desk to charge my phone they told me to walk across the street to Walgreens and buy one.
- Water in the room had to run for 3-4 min before it was hot
- in room TVs do not have casting or streaming ability.
- Resort fee says it includes a 15% discount at the onsite restaurants, however every time we ate and said we are charging it to the room, they gave us a check with no discount. We ate on site 6 times. All 6 times we had to ASK for the discount.
- Our rate included a $50 resort credit per day, when checking in we were not informed of exactly how it was going to be applied. This caused confusion upon checkout and we ended up with $100 of unused credit.

While the location was great, we will wait until a full renovation is complete at this property until we visit again. In the meantime Rosen Shingle Creek and Omni Championsgate are better options for less cost.
