The Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort is a hit with guests for its prime location, a stone's throw away from theme parks and shopping venues. Its rooms earn accolades for being spacious and well-appointed, making it a family-friendly choice. While some guests mention additional parking fees, the consensus is that the hotel provides good value.
The amenities, including a diverse breakfast spread, contribute to its appeal. Although a few visitors encountered hiccups with cleaning and maintenance, the overall atmosphere is celebrated as clean, modern, and homelike, with many guests commending the warm and helpful staff.

Detailed Reviews
From the time you walk into the lobby where the cooling ac hits you as a welcome smile, the staff are ready to serve. Clean, modern, and upscale decor. Having a mini kitchen in our room was spot on for me and by 2 teenage boys. I was able to cook on the 2 burner stove with the pots and pans they provided and then put them in the dishwasher afterwards so they were clean and ready the next day. Mugs for the mini coffee pot made it feel like home away from home. The fridge had a mini freezer so I could keep my ice cream frozen. The open concept gives the room a bigger feel and allows bed side to watch tv and the living space to watch something else with comfort. Ok, let me say I didn't want to leave the bed! Coming from home where I have a sleep number bed, this was so soft, but yet firm so I didn't sink into the middle (can we say yummy pillowtop?!)
Free continental breakfast made it possible for us to save money by skipping lunch and go for a early dinner. Emily made sure everyone had silverware and a clean table top. She is bilingual (Spanish). I was late one day for breakfast (my kids came down with the flu) and because I was nice to her, she hooked me up with the whole spread for me & my boys to enjoy in my room. She even went the extra mile to help me carry it up to the room! I wish I had a hotel like this closer to home so I could do a stay-cation.
We had a hiccup with our AC and within 5 mins maintenance was at our room and had things fixed in less than 10mins. Could I live there forever, YES!
Parking was $15 a day for members.

Family of 4 in a queen suite. Room was big, 2 queen sized beds. Has a sofa and a kitchenette with an electric stove, microwave and dish washer. We managed to cook some quick meals. Fourth floor has a laundry room with 3 large washing machines and 3 large dryers, for those wet clothes after Universal. There is a shuttle to Universal in the morning, you can book the shuttle at the service counter at the back of the lobby. Universal is within walking distance but you have to cross the highway at the pedestrian crossings, so would advise taking a cab or uberx about $10 inclusive of tips). Journey back from Universal cost $12 all in due to a higher fee for the dedicated Uber pick up area at Universal. Disney Magic Kingdom is about 30 mins away and a uberx cost $30 all in to get there in the morning. We took a metered cab back in the evening and it cost almost double the uberx. Breakfast came with the room and was good - spread of cereal, bagels, bread, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, fruits. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again.

Hotel well located, close to the Universal parks, premium outlet, etc.. with buses that take you to and from the parks with the option of 4 times, cleaning every other day, breakfast included with the basics that serves well despite not changing much and parking... Self-service laundry on 2 floors with 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, costs 5 dollars to wash and 5 to dry, only accepts cards... I thought it was worth it, the room is spacious. The bathroom has a glass shower, without those plastic curtains and the kitchen helps a lot.

The hotel is located within a 15-20 minute walk from Universal. The breakfast is very varied and repetitive. The room is done every other day, day 2 light cleaning and day 4 full (of full had nothing) and so on. I must emphasize the kindness and work of the breakfast staff, Mrs. Tania always attentive, helpful and concerned that we were comfortable with breakfast; Yadira, Mairelys and Emily also very attentive. Don Edgar very friendly and polite. The overall Latino staff is exceptionally good. In the room the sofa bed was not working, we put the bed on the floor with the cushions after it had no arrangement. In the kitchen of the room there were no kitchen towels for drying or washing earthenware (unlike the other hyatt house that do leave kitchen towels). I ordered a blender at reception (which all hyatt houses offer) and this hotel was not the service, so finally, it is not a hotel suitable for families traveling with babies. I honestly expected the quality of this hyatt house to be the same as Miami’s Hyatt House and Orlando Airport’s, but it was disappointing for families traveling with children and babies.

I’ve stayed here before as an affordable option for overnight stays to visit Universal and Islands of adventure. Overall, my stay was good, breakfast was great, gym was nice and clean, elevators are responsive, and the washer/ dryer room was clean and well maintained. The staff was responsive to my needs (caffeinated coffee for the coffee machine in my room) and concerns (slow drain shower/ tub). I think that things could be improved if the hotel and this is for all hotels really, if they’d just have an objective assessment of room conditions and take steps to make the best first impression but I’d stay here again because of its proximity to the parks (30 minute walk), shuttle to said parks (reserve your seats), affordable/ convenient ride share pickup area (aka hotel entrance is nothing but windows), breakfast (hot and cold options), room suites for parents traveling with kids, and the pool (sorry, no hot tub to soak after a long day of walking and roller coasters).

My stay was 5 very nice days: The hotel has an excellent presentation, quite modern lobby. The rooms are comfortable, not as modern as the lobby, but meet the standard of comfort: it has a refrigerator, cofee Maker, Microwave and Pkancha. Cleanliness is every 2 days, very good. Breakfast: bread, egg, sausages, potatoes, pancakes or waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee or tea, Emily is an excellent collaborator of the Hotel who during breakfast is attentive to the comfort of each of the guests, and has a gift of very nice people. The gym is a very nice new facility that has a multifunctional machine, walkers, weights. And the parking is paid, and it is canceled through a QR Code that is in the same parking lot. And very importantly this Hotel has an excellent location for: shopping, Universal, and in general everything.

This is the second Hyatt experience I’ve had (one in Denver, Colorado was a nightmare) but this one redeemed the brand! I’ve had Hyatt points for years from my Chase card but they don’t normally have kitchenettes or free breakfast so I’ve stayed at Marriotts but the new Hyatt House line is as good as Residence Inns!
Check-in with Roberto was great….he’s exceptionally friendly and professional and helped with all my questions! I met Jordyn one evening and she was also extremely friendly…this hotel has great front-end staff!!! We stayed in Room 803 which was quiet for our stay and SUPER CLEAN! Kudos to the housekeeping staff that will now come daily and make the bed and provide new towels, which was a great experience after the last couple of years of hotels refusing to do so!
It’s about a 1.2 mile walk to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and it’s extremely easy and safe. There aren’t multiple sidewalks to get lost and it has fast crosswalk lights and is lit well at night. It took us about 25-30 minutes from the hotel to reach the parks, depending on traffic lights! Paying the hotel $15/night parking saves money from the $30/day parking fee at the park, plus you are walking around all day anyway.
There is no doubt we will stay here again!

I stayed at Hyatt House Across from Universal Orlando Resort for two nights on a recent business trip. Finding parking in the front lot for my rental car was a bit challenging, especially later in the evening because the lot got quite full, but it always eventually worked out. Although it was quite busy, I was pleased that breakfast in the morning was never overly crowded and I could always find a place to sit.
The room was nicely spacious, with a separate bedroom, living room and kitchen area, through which you enter. There were two television screens, mounted directly opposite each other on the wall divider, one facing the bed and one facing the sofa in the living room area. The refrigerator is small and unfortunately mine smelled very strongly of pizza. It was clear that the previous occupant put leftover pizza in it. When I checked in, there was also a small pile of leaves/crusted mud on the carpet by the kitchen. I put it in the trash but noted it when I logged on to WiFi. Before you can activate the WiFi, they have you fill out a little survey to make sure that everything was ok in the room. Even though I ended the survey by saying I didn't need a follow up, the housekeeping department called me immediately, which means they actually read the survey.
During my two-night stay, there was no housekeeping. They cleaned before I arrived and they cleaned after I left. I was fine but I don't think it was clear for other people about where to put their trash, because I would see multiple bags left in the ice room on my floor.
I asked the front desk about how to walk to Universal Orlando Resort. There is a pedestrian bridge over the highway, exactly for this purpose. They said it takes 15-20 minutes and I found that to be true, to the resort entrance. From there, you walk a little more to the valet parking area and go up to the entrance to CityWalk. It's convenient because you do security there, instead of with everyone coming in from the parking garage. All in all, I would allow more like 25 minutes, realistically.
On Saturday night I came back quite late and inquired about food. Unfortunately, at around 10pm they stopped serving food, so I walked over to TGI Friday's. They also have a small food market where you can buy snacks.
In all, it was a good experience and I would come back to this hotel.

Hyatt House exceeded all expectations for our stay. The room accommodations, staff, and location all contributed to the great experience that we had while we were in town to experience the Disney parks. The piece that really sealed the deal for us was their breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about the breakfast. Every menu they put out was better than the last and it was all delicious. It really helped fuel my husband and I as we got ready to go to each park. The breakfast alone will be the reason we book this hotel time and time again.

Nice modern and quiet room in general (well noise insulated ot the outside), but there's a very noisy AC windows unit. It's not directly built into the window, but right on the side and horribly loud. Like a truck rolling through your room every 5 minutes for about 3 minutes when running.
We paid for 5 persons, but only got 3 full size towels and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for 3 days. Horrible. The door to the bathroom didn't lock and was actually broken. There's no exhaust fan in the toilet and no toilet brush and not much water flowing (good luck if spending your honeymoon here ....).
There are only about 2 hangers for towels. So where to dry 6 towels for the next day? Oh I forgot you won't get 6 towels .. lol ... problem solved. If you love to dry up with wet towels that's the hotel for you.
The location is in good walking distance (20 min) to Universal but also has a shuttle, but is almost useless because of very limited connections.
Hotel room was large, but not much space to storage items. Kitchen seems to be fully usable, but we did not use it.
There are 2 large TV's but very slow ones. Don't expect to bring your console and play games - won't work.
Room has only 2 mirrors. A sink right outside of the shower with a mirror would have been a huge relieve and upgrade to this room to allow for two person using the bath at the same time.
Breakfast smells like soaked and heated up mix of plastic and cardboard. Zero taste - no matter what it is. Cereal is OK though despite only having low fat and 2% milk. Eggs are nice too.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Room was clean, but not maintained because of CV19. Same price - no service. Nice trick.
