Good location. Skyliner was down unfortunately for part of our stay (skyliner was one of the main reasons we booked this stay). Rooms were nice for a value resort. Food court was good too. Walls and ceilings were very very thin, we could hear people talking (they weren’t talking loudly either!) and their TVs either side, and could also hear other people going to the toilet in the rooms above us. I know this is a value resort, but for the price paid we would not expect to hear this. Overall a good stay, but rooms could be much improved with some sound insulation.
We're staying with our friend in Sarasota for several weeks and decided it would be fun to go to Disney for a couple of days. Another friend decided to join us. Rather than book 1 double and 2 single rooms, we "roomied up" so I shared a room with our girlfriend and my husband shared a room with the male friend. Although our friend had checked us in online, we wanted to go to Reception so that we could register our own credit card for any expenditure over the couple of days. What a great decision that was. Judy was a real star on Reception, being patient and sorting everything out for us, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasurable. Our rooms weren't ready - but we didn't expect them to be as it was only 9 am - and we were duly notified later in the day when the rooms were ready. Judy had even arranged for our rooms to be next to each other - although we didn't use the interconnecting door! The transportation arrangements for getting to the Parks from this Hotel are excellent, with the buses arriving frequently. We went to Magic Kingdom on our first day and were on our first ride by 10 am - and that was after arriving at Reception at 9am!! There is also the addition of the Skyline which we experienced in the evening so that we could enjoy the views/lights. Both of our rooms were very clean with everything we needed. At first we were concerned to see there was only one large bed but then realised that there is a "pull-down" bed located where the table is. Fantastic! There were more than enough pillows too, and the beds were super comfortable. We decided to eat in the Food Hall at the Hotel where there is plenty of choice, depending on what you want. Reasonably priced too! The tables were cleaned as soon as guests left. The following day we went to Hollywood Studios - and the bus was just pulling in as we arrived at the coach area. Perfect timing! An added advantage was that we had early admission to the Park, so we could get ahead of the rush to try out the new Star Wars rides. Fantastic! Sadly we only stayed at Pop Century for one night (the last time we stayed for a week) but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for a fantastic, albeit short, stay - hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back again for longer.…
The location of our room was as far from the main office as could be. The room was comfortable enough, but the walk to the main lobby was a trek for a 70+age couple and adult child. The bar limited me to two beers, apparently afraid that I might run amuk on the premises. I was greatly disappointed with the entire experience. NEVER again at a Theme Park Hotel Would NOT recommend.!
This was my first trip to Disney and got spoiled quickly by just walking into the resort. The check in staff is great and the process is easy. You can check in on your phone as well. Loved having a gift shop and cafeteria right there at the resort. The pool areas are so nice. Each of them were themed of course. They even show movies right there near the pool. Oh and you cant miss all of the giant sculptures. Loved walking around at night and looking at all the different ones. The resort has direct bus lines to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. The skyliner is just a short walk. The rooms are extremely nice and clean. I loved the amount of storage in the room for all clothes, suitcases, souvenirs and most importantly all the sets of ears you need for the parks. Lots of space in the room as well. The Murphy bed is easy to bring down and put back up for storage. Cant wait to come back and stay here again.…
I liked having access to the Disney Skyliner system at this hotel and there was a dedicated bus line to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. The rooms were a bit on the smaller side and the beds were a bit springy. The customer service at this hotel was great as I was able to leave my luggage at bell service for my arrival and departure day. I was able to get to my room at 11:35 AM when I requested early check-in. The check-in staff was very helpful and helped me find a room on the fourth floor when I stated I needed a top-floor room as I am a light sleeper and wanted a quiet room. However, the room had mosquitos in it, which is why I took off a star and the springy bed that I slept on. The shower pressure was great and I liked the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner they had. The room had thin walls and you could hear neighbors flushing toilets or turning on the faucet. However, due to the value and convenience of being inside Disney World, I would still stay at this property again when coming to Disney World. The lobby has a cafeteria, gift shop, arcade, and check-in desks, and where the buses stop to take you to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. At night, they do sometimes share the bus with the next-door resort, Art of Animation. The Skyliner takes you to Epcot through the international gateway entrance and Hollywood Studios. The Skyliner also takes you to the Rivera Resort and Caribbean Beach Resort.…
Food/shopping was very high Staff friendly/accommodating Room comfortable Handicap parking? still had to walk a long way - magic kingdom was the worst! Visually’Shop’ the discount stores ‘off property’ first before you invest on site!
What a fun place to stay! We stayed for 4 nights in the 70’s section as part of a wedding block of rooms. Very reasonably priced per night for our stay, especially one on the Disney resort property. We loved the decor of the outside. Inside was decent sized with a Murphy bed which came in handy. We utilized the mobile check in and were issued a room number before we even had left the airport. The Disney world app also let you use your mobile device as a way to open your door without having to get a key from the lobby. The food court and shop had a lot to offer- we ended up buying a lot of souvenirs there as they were the same as in the parks, but the food court food wasn’t that great for the price. Super easy to get around, the skyliner was closed for most of our stay but we were able to use it to get to the Hollywood Studios our first day. The buses ran constantly so it was a breeze getting to and from the parks. As of this year, Disney no longer charges for parking at its resorts so that was a nice bonus. Now, for the not so good. Walls are super thin- we heard every toilet flush, cell phone chime and talking if it was loud enough. Beds were comfy but those hotel pillows suck. We aren’t sure why but the lighting in the bathroom showed every red part of your face in vivid color. Lol. Also, depending on what decade section you are in, parking was ample but far. Quite a hike from the 70’s parking lot to our room. Would definitely stay here again.…
This resort has some nice amenities and we enjoyed the straight to your room check in. The pools were great except very cold. Food was okay but expensive for what it was. What I found lacking was pretty serious basic necessities. Cleanliness was an issue, our trash was not emptied once during our entire stay, no evidence of a housekeeping staff at all. The worst part was getting a decent night sleep. The grounds crew or whoever needed to be driving up and down the sidewalks in loud golf carts all day and night was obnoxious. They had dozens of golf carts driving everywhere. At one point two golf carts parked next to each other completely blocking the path. We stood there and waited on two employees to finish talking so they would move. They clearly skipped on the wrong things to make this a budget hotel. Even a motel 8 takes out the trash.…
Pop century was simply perfect for our family stay. From the awesome theming, pools and the skyliner, Pop Century hits all the right marks at the right price. Even though the food court is the only good selection at this resort, they do offer a lot of different options and everyone in your party will find something they like. The rooms are updated and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again on our next Disney trip.
Me and my fiance stayed here back in May of 2022. However, 2 nights ago out of clear blue, a letter from their collection agency came in the mail with a $227 bill. I called pop centurys billing dept after i hung up with the collection agency. They told me per the manager of house keeping, the cleaners had to doe xtra cleaning due to smoke residue. Mind you neither of us smoke and this is the first time im seeing something. I mentioned that to the lady at the billing office that neither of us smoke and i had never recieved a phone call, email or letter in the prior to this one that had just came. I also asked her if they apparently found smoke residue, why want my card on file charged. She then went to on try and tell me that there was no card on file that was saved and that there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. ENDING RESULT, HAD TO PAY the $227.00.…
