They commit several mistakes during registration, besides taking too long due to a slow computer system performance. I stood two hours and a half in the register deck, and on the other day, I had to come back because they didn't include the tickets in...More
We have stayed in many hotels through the years, including other Disney resorts and sadly Pop Century was by far the noisiest one we have ever been to. What a disappointment! The neighbors above and beside us could be heard running and banging at all...More
We stayed with 3-generation family of 8 in 2 adjoining rooms. The first room we were given had a soaking wet carpet (water leak?) so we were moved to adjoining rooms in the 60's building on the 3rd floor. Elevator just around the corner so...More
Not sure why so many negative reviews. Pop Century is a resort with a moderate cost, so you expect to see a lot of families, lot of kids. Not many frills, but everything that was needed was provided. We did have a problem the first...More

If a room is available, the front desk typically tries their best to check you in at arrival time. I believe you can specify "before 9am" on online check in. If a room is not available, you can leave your luggage and go to the parks, or use any hotel amenities (pool). When I stayed a few weeks ago, I arrived around 11 and was able to get checked into my room. It just depends on how many rooms weren't occupied the night before.

Not too sure, honestly. They told us they aim to have it all "finished" by July/August but they aren't too sure anymore because the hurricane set them off track. Really, it doesn't hurt to call them and ask if you could possibly be put into a renovated room. They typically try to help out as much as possible and it doesn't hurt to try, either.
