Overpriced for what you’re getting. Check in took a very long time. Rooms were just okay. Parking and resort fees were outrageous. There are much better options in the area, especially if you’re into Disney.
What started out as a pretty terrible trip just got a whole lot better. Due to the hurricane, all of our vacation plans got turned completely upside down. Canceled flights, driving to Florida instead (which was kinda cool - but seriously annoying) to having our cruise cut by a day. A real mess....I know I know....first world problems. But today, things turned around. Checking in, we had the pleasure of having Dezzy greet us. And now we relaxing in our fantastic Lakeview room on our balcony. I had to take the time to write this review immediately, because it's been a pretty bleak trip until today. We finally feel like we are relaxing and on holiday. Wyndham Grand Hotel Bonnett Creek, you've got a real gem in Dezzy! Thanks girl!!
Hotel was fine. #1 reason to stay here is the shuttle driver Nelson. Hard to explain his infectious, positive, attitude! Waters on the shuttle, blow pops for the kids - absolutely a great way to start the day every day. Our kids would get ready and do whatever we said as long as we "made the shuttle to see Nelson". Probably the most memorable part of our Disney trip. Whoevers in charge - make sure he sees this and give him a raise!!!
We had a great experience this week staying at this kid friendly luxury property. Everything from the check in experience to the wonderful buffet breakfast to the ride to Disney! Nelson was indeed exceptional so kudos to him for getting our "lovely day" off to a great start :)
Had to go to a conference at Disney which was all booked up so I stayed here with the family. Service was great. Pool area is fantastic. Kids loved that there was an arcade and a pirate ship slide area. My wife liked the hot tub and the servers who brought the drinks over. Honestly, it was a great stay but stay away from the time share sales people.
We recently stayed here for a weekend trip up to Orlando for Food & Wine over at Epcot. Being it's close proximity to the parks and decent rate for the weekend we decided on this hotel since it was just my wife and I and wanted a little more luxury than some of the lower Marriott brands. Much like a previous poster, we also got he undesirable balcony view of the parking garage. While the balconies were private in terms of each other, anyone and everyone could see into our room if we did not have the curtains closed which renders have a balcony nearly pointless. I understand there is a premium for a "Lake View Balcony" but we weren't expecting looking at drivers eye to eye from ours. The room itself wasn't the cleanest, shower and bathroom floors had been half cleaned but nothing too drastic to warrant a room exchange at 1am when we arrived. However far from what we were expecting. The carpets throughout the hotel seem worse for wear. A general deep carpet cleaning is required, including inside the rooms. The sheets on the bed did not smell clean, not sure if it was simply a humid smell as they did not appear dirty. This place has good bones but it's definitely lost any previous luster. The bathroom itself is extremely small. The door to the shower/toilet opens inward creating even a tighter space. Just not logical in it's creation. The restaurants, bar and coffee shops were a nice bright spot but we will not be returning here. Stayed last month at a residence inn that was far much cleaner even though it did not have any of the frills this place has. Maybe a deep clean at every level will help.…
If you like being close to Disney and Universal, with easy and accessible transportation options - it’s a great stay. Also had a great atmosphere with lots activities for couples or families. What we were disappointed with was the lack by of room service (once over 7 days - which I had to request). We also recommend that you do NOT order the pizza from the restaurant on site. No flavour and 5lbs of cheese. Think of the most absurd amount of cheese to put on a pizza and they’ll put on more!
I booked this hotel thinking it was 4.5 stars, but I was wrong. I had a two night stay this past weekend and was extremely disappointed, especially for what I paid. First, I paid more money for a room that included a balcony. Yes, I indeed got a balcony, but OMG the view was nothing but cement. I got a close up view of the parking garage. See my posted pictures. Second, we left for a day of Disney fun on our second day. I left housekeeping a tip on the tv stand and ask for extra towels. When we got back to our room around 8 p.m. we discovered that our room was not serviced. I called housekeeping and was advised that housekeeping is only done on Thursdays and if I wanted the service, I had to ask for it. What? All I could think about was the $38 resort fee (oh plus taxes and fees, well over $40) and I don't get housekeeping services? COME ON!! Really? Is this the Comfort Inn? I expected more. Third, after checking out and leaving my key cards in my room, I got my car and started to depart. I realized I left my wedding ring in the room. I was panicked. I went to the check in desk, I asked the clerk, can I just run up to my room and use the door open feature on the Wyndham app? He said, Oh yay....you can use it until 12 p.m. I trucked it up to the room. The app did not open my door. So, back to the front desk. OH, ok....let me make you a key card. Headed back up to the room (2nd time). Key card did NOT work. WHAT? Back down to the front desk. I'll just call security and have them meet you. FINALLY I got my ring after my third run up to my room! Oh what a circus this place was! Stop blaming COVID and supply chain issues for everything. I will not be back. Orlando has such a competitive market. There are plenty of places to stay at CHEAPER and receive much better service!!…
We’re just one day in and already amazing. Alberto and Andrzej at the front desk have been amazing with suggestions and helping us get an awesome view. (The kids are super psyched with the bunk beds). Omar from the valet team has been great from the start and Carmelo from the bar is also just awesome. Everyone seems friendly and for the fourth time we’ve been to Disney with the kids and the first time we didn’t stay at a Disney hotel. The folks at the Wyndham bonnet creek have been just great. Couldn’t recommend it more. Will let everyone know at the end of the week too :) -Chris
The resort is lovely but at 4 stars it's not a luxury or high-end resort. They had no robes or slippers in the room, and also didn't offer room service (they only offered a meal delivery service from an offsite company). Overall a pleasant stay but there are nicer, 4-star resorts.
