Great hotel and location! Really enjoyed our room - Megan at the front desk was so helpful and cordial. She assisted us getting extra pillows! The breakfast was good. Going to Universal from here was a good and easy thing - would suggest Uber or rideshare if you have to pay to park because of how close you are!

My wife and I wanted to do a staycation for our 31st wedding anniversary and spend a day at Universal Orlando. We arrived on Wednesday the 18th, and while we were 45 minutes early, the attendant, Derrick, not only allowed us to check in earlier than expected, he allowed us to change our room location, wanting be be further away from the noise associated with Major Highway and the adjacent commercial “strip mall.” Derrick was polite, welcoming, and gave us a sense we had made a good decision to stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast hit the spot prior to visiting the theme park and on the day of our departure. The access to cable networks was also a plus. We’ll be back!

Stayed here for 5 nights as we were visiting universal for Halloween Horror Nights. This was a return visit for us as we stayed in 2018 and found the hotel ticked all our boxes.
As with our last visit we found the room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is included and had fruit, cereal, bagels on offer as well as some hot food options. There is also a Walgreens nearby and the hotel doesn’t mind if you order in food. The staff are all friendly, kind and helpful. There is free parking outside the hotel and a laundry room located on the 3rd floor that we used. It was great to freshen up some clothes, especially if you get soaked on any of the water rides in the parks.
We walked to Universal daily and found it took about 20 minutes from the hotel to city walk. A pedestrian bridge has been added across the main road since our last visit which made the walk more enjoyable.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we come back to Orlando.

The people were really nice/helpful and the beds were comfortable, breakfast was really delicious! Free parking was nice. Of note, pool basically unusable because it is not heated and gets no sun, there is no hot tub. Also the shuttle service to the parks only leaves at 4 specific times in the morning and comes back 4 specific times in the evening. We were hoping to be able to have more flexibility with the shuttle. We ended up using Lyft and we paid $25 round trip including tip. Overall, it was a decent 2 night stay. Was NOT walkable to the parks especially if it is hot. Would not stay for longer than a couple of nights.

Regarding the shuttle service, that it is provided by Universal as a complimentary service for all guests, and unfortunately, we do not have control over its schedule. However, our location is within walking distance, approximately a 23-minute walk using the pedestrian bridge across from the DoubleTree. Additionally, hotels with heated pools typically specify this feature at the time of booking. As our pool is not heated, this information is not listed. We’re sorry to hear that these factors influenced your decision not to stay with us again. However, we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. This hotel reminds me of why I don't stay at Marriotts often. I used to work for them and our customer service standard then was much higher. It is clean, no issues there, but your reservation doesn't matter. Just choose the lowest cost room because they will just give away the room you reserved to someone else at their discretion. That's my biggest tip, just reserve the lowest cost one if you must stay here, otherwise stay at a Hilton so your reservation will be honored.

Details that make a difference. Quiet room. We were on the 6th floor but rarely heard anyone in the hall and never heard any sounds above, next to or below our room. The bath/shower and toilet are separate from the sink area (nice for multiple people getting ready) and just about sound proof, so your personal toilet business will not be common knowledge with your roommates. Coffee maker is a one cup at a time model, but we never used as good coffee is plentiful all day in the lobby. Included breakfast had edible scrambled eggs, sausage and many options with bagels, cereal, milk, yogurt, waffle iron was defunct most likely due to COVID-19. Back to the room, nice big (maybe 42”) flat screen TV, smallish fridge, no microwave (lobby has one). Desk that can roll around, rolling desk chair, upholstered chair, full length mirror, iron/ironing board. Beds were good and clean and comfortable. I like a softer mattress as I’m a side sleeper and if the mattress is too firm my hips hurt-I didn’t have that issue. We drove so we had a car to get to Universal. Walking is doable as there are no major highways to cross but yeah would be a mile walk which is fine in the morning, but after a day at Universal the last thing you want to do is walk! Have fun and hope you have a great experience, we did.

We loved staying here - clean, pleasant, affordable.
The staff is kind, helpful. Kelly, Julia, David, Sandro, and all others work hard and save no effort to make guests' experience extremely pleasant. We loved the breakfast, which is included in the fee! I also used the gym - small but with everything I needed. The hotel is very close to the main mall outlets and you can walk to good restaurants.

We spent here 2 nights before Christmas and 1 night after. We have chosen this place because it’s great location. Universal Studios, the Orlando International Premium Outlets and some great restaurants were really close to it. Our room was spacious and we were not disturbed by the busy streets. On the other hand The variety of the breakfast was not really big and the dining room was overcrowded.
In addition at our first stay we received a different room which we had booked in advance. We should have received a two double bed room but in our room were a double bed and a sofa. Of course the sofa bed was inconvenient. In addition we had to make our sofa bed! The receptionist told me that we could find the sheets in the closet. It was unbelievable experience for me. There are plenty of hotel nearby. We will choose an other one next time of course.

We stayed here for 5 nights with my husband. The hotel is very central to everything, with free parking. It has a scheduled shuttle to and from Universal daily. There is a Universal rep on site Thursday through Sunday, you can make a reservation on these mornings to get on 1 of the 3 times it goes to the parks, no reservation is taken for the way back, there are 3 times it comes back to the hotel in the evening. The hotel is a bit dated and has a very perfume smell in the hallways, so if you are sensitive to smell, this may be a bit strong for you. Free breakfast was available daily, but the end of the weekend, there was no yogurt! My husband used the gym daily and said although it was small, it had all the equipment he needed to work out.

Clean and suitable for a pleasant stay. loved the room layout with a little 'reception area' with sofa and tables looking out on a TV. If I was with people who walked far, I’d def consider it for visits to the parks. There’s a Miller’s Alehouse just across a short parking lot, so if you check in after dinner there’s still a good and late option very nearby. Speaking of location, there's also an adjacent Walgreen's so that's handy for lots of needs.
I would definitely bring clips so you could clip the curtains together and block out sunlight.
Decent breakfast. The other Fairfield we stayed at in Florida had real bacon vs the microwave paper towel stuff they had here, but these guys had real oatmeal even with limited toppings.
