I suggest asking to stay in Building 1 which is right by the large pool and the clubhouse, gym, coffee shop etc. We stayed in building 4 which was great but once you get to know the lay of the land and how everything works, you should really be in Building 1.
Pool chairs-this is a disgusting practice that goes on at this resort. You have the owners; they are a different breed of people. Mostly retirees that are kind of rude and think they own the place, if you say you aren't an owner, the nose goes up. These are timeshares not million-dollar mansions, it's quite funny actually. They actually line up at the gate of the pool at 6:30am to go put their towels and belongings on chairs. The pool opens at 7am. So, of course on the days we did not venture off property, I got up and did the same thing. Otherwise, you will NOT get a pool chair. The signs say that you cannot partake in this practice, but those rules are not enforced and if someone says something to an owner and they are saving chairs, they pull the "do you know who I am"?? It's so so so obnoxious. So, I got up and got to the pool at 7:05am just like the rest of them and saved our chairs. It's unfortunate that this is a common practice here, but you have to play the game and I highly suggest you do so if you want a chair or chairs for your family/friends. Set that alarm for 6:30am and go save your chairs.
The service here is amazing. They text you so if you need anything you can just text and they answer right away. The bar staff at the pool were awesome! The good thing about the drinks and snacks at the pool is that they don't charge all of those hefty hotel taxes, just regular food tax and you tip as you please.
The room we were in was great, huge for two people, we had a little deck, balcony, laundry, whirlpool tub, etc. We even cooked breakfast daily and dinner twice in the room. You can walk to Publix and Starbucks, they are that close.
Our plan was to stay 5 nights but we were driving north and wanted to get a head start and hit other states along the way and they were so nice to let us check out a day early with no fees.
I do recommend this place for sure but definitely take my advice about the chairs and don't waste your time with the time share people, life is too short and getting a tan is way more important!
The staff all wore masks and had gloves and explained the extra precautions being taken place during this ongoing pandemic. During the stay there, we did have the washer/dryer machine in our unit break down and it was replaced. The technicians that showed up to replace it were responsible with their PPE usage. Although a number of the amenities were out of service, the pool was open and there was constant cleaning/disinfecting ongoing in that area.
Hilton's attention to detail was appreciated!
The location itself is excellent with a lot of variety in food and shopping right across the driveway at the Premium Outlets.
The check-out was a breeze. No call required to check-out, just leave the keys and go! Loved it.
There are many amenities such as business center, market and deli, poolside bar and grill, games, DVDs, activities, two pools, hot tubs, and a sports court for basketball or pickle ball.
The food and drinks on premise are good, and you can happily dine on the premises. If you prefer to cook for yourself, there is a Publix grocery store right across the street.
Conveniently located next door to the complex is a Premium Outlet Mall with many popular stores. It is easily walkable.
Our rooms were clean and spacious, both with lanais & furniture out there to view the pool area. Our kitchen was fully appointed with what we needed for cooking.
We stayed in building one, overlooking the pool area. If you want quiet, this is NOT the building to be in. The nightly activities are loud (live music, karaoke by loud guests, late and loud bar patrons, and the constant slamming of the metal pool gate). It is recommended to use a sound machine and earplugs if you are in this building if you are a light sleeper. Better yet, ask for a different building.
Overall, we had a nice experience here; and it was our second stay at one of the resorts they have in Orlando. Not sure if we’d come back to this same location, but if we did we’d ask for a room far away from all the resort “action” so we could get a decent night’s sleep after a long day spent at theme parks.
Nice flat screen TVS, one in each room. Beautiful patio with full table/chairs and great view of the pool. The suite is spic and span. Didn’t see one issue with cleanliness which is usually an issue at most hotels. The staff here is doing a phenomenal job and we are so grateful that you are open for business (even during the virus) and treating your guests well.
We visited both pools and hot tubs during our stay. Nice volleyball net at the large pool. Great lounge chairs and towels. We did not eat or drink at bar or restaurant but were pleased to see that we could bring our own waters and snacks for our son. Nice to not have staff members down your back about every little move. Thank you for allowing that. I saw some guests bring coolers with food and drinks. Not sure that’s allowed but it appeared to be okay. We will know for next time. :) it’s nice to not have pressure to purchase food and drinks only from the hotel as things get expensive on vacation.
The grounds of the hotel were immaculate. Great job keeping that up. Staff members ride around in golf carts so that made us feel safe. Just loved everything about the property and we can not wait to come back!!
This is the only hotel we will visit when staying in Orlando. Your suites are awesome !
We stayed two years ago and it was clean then too. Keep up the great work !! Cleanliness is very important to us (and not just b/c of the virus). We felt like home here ! We already told our extended family members to join us back here in the fall !! Thanks again for all you did to make our stay comfortable !
The pool chairs are not socially distance and they are not cleaned constantly throughout the days as I’ve seen at other properties.
They only have one or two bartenders working a limited our schedule each day. The resort was full capacity with every room being full for spring break every chair was at the pool but limited services at the pool. I saw people stand in line for extended periods of time waiting for service at the bar. There are no services were you can order anywhere else but there. The line at times was 10 to 15 people deep which blocked passageway.
I saw lines of people standing at the pool at 8o’clock in the morning when they unlock the gate to go in to reserve chairs and not return for hours. Making it difficult to find a chair if you came at 10 or 11. The sign says if things are left unattended for 30 minutes they will clear them away yet there’s no one there working to clear them away.
They were unsupervised kids with float toys in the hot tub‘s and there was no one to tell them to get out. I get that you don’t want to enforce rules to keep people from being mad but as an owner I kind of expect you to enforce rules. Otherwise you need to get rid of the rules.
Just overall a very poor management of the pool and services. They may blame it on Covid but it’s a fact that they are not managing it very well.
Housekeeping services were always friendly and our midweek cleaning was done very early in the day which was perfect.
When I went to check out I did express my concerns to one of the guest services representatives and she did admit there are some issues and she also did a form of compensation to take care of the inconveniences. There’s no reason that if you were at full capacity that all the services at both pools should not be at full capacity as crowded as it was for spring break.
After a mix up with the style of room that we were assigned the accommodations are still very nice. Parking is always a challenge but they do offer adequate transportation if you have to park on the other side of the resort.
We had reservations to return at fall break but after seeing how they are managing the services at this resort we have switched to one of the other properties that we know has done a better job of it.
Pros for this resort
Rooms are large
Rooms and commons areas are clean and well kept
Cons for this resort
Exchangers are given the least desirable units overlooking the outlet mall parking garage.
Charged $175 amenities fees providing very little in exchange
WIFI and cable services need improvement
Pool bar food and drinks overpriced and marginal quality.
Parking is not adequate for size of resort.
Beds are very uncomfortable for a resort wanting to be upscale.
"Pool had no heating during our trip - in December that's not good. Also only 3ft-4ft deep. Great for kids etc, not for even a small swim. "Read full review
