Great experience staying in a cabin--we are not campers, nor do I wish to be, but this gave us the camping experience without the actual camping part. We have stayed at multiple Disney Resorts, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge (twice) Contemporary (twice) by far this was my favorite. If you are looking for hotel amenities, room service, spa, etc... this is not...

You're roughing it without totally roughing it - it's everything a mom could ask for! You have the comfort of showers and bathrooms with the serenity and simplicity of the campsites. Just a short, fun golf cart ride away and you could be sliding into a huge pool or watching movies and roasting s'mores by the campfire. I would recommend...

We spent a week at Fort Wilderness (March 16-23). We come to Disney often but had never camped before. Disney makes even camping a magical experience. When we drove up, we didn't even have to get out of our car to check in. The employees check you in at the gate and you drive right to your spot. We had...

One of the "top spots" in my 30+ years of camping. So different compared to the many RV resorts that end up with a majority of 55 plus campers. They cater to kids and families obviously being a Disney property. See which fire pits are allowed and bring your own if you can. My kids expect a fire pit on...

After staying at the cabins the past three visits to Fort Wilderness, this time my husband, 7yo, and myself drove down from Maine with our RV. Our GPS didn't the recognize Ft Wilderness address, so we had to call a couple times when we were in the area to find it - I'd recommend getting written directions in advance for...

Our family, a group of 5 stayed here, renting one log cabin. It was a unique experience for us who have been used to the usual hotels we stay in during vacation. Instead of the usual crowded hotel, we were treated to a spacious log cabin amidst pine trees visited once in a while by a deer, a raccoon, and...

Just returning from a week at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. Would definitely stay again. Advantages are actually having space for the kids to run around instead of being confined to a hotel room, being "at home" on vacation while staying in our camper, and the extras of staying at one of the upscale hotels without paying an upscale price (Chip...

We stayed in one of the cabins at Fort Wilderness. There were 5 of us that went and we could have fit 6 easily. The area is huge so we decided to rent a golf cart. What a life saver! We never had to wait for a bus inside the resort. The cabin has a full kitchen and dining room....

First of all, many of the reviews are people staying in cabins. We were in our 40 foot RV, and stayed in the 1400 loop. We loved every minute of Fort Wilderness. Traveling was my huband and I (mid 30s) and our 4 year old son. Cons: Not a alot to say here-- the internet is not wireless, it is...

These units are set up like an efficiency apartment with an extra bedroom. Room 1 has a double Murphy (pull down) bed, couch, kitchen, and kitchen table. Room 2 has kid-sized twin bunk beds and another double bed. Having two rooms is nice, and my teenage son found the Murphy bed very comfortable. I gave my husband the double bed...
