The Holiday Inn Orlando-International Airport, an IHG hotel, garners mixed reviews from guests. While the cleanliness and modern amenities of the hotel receive commendation, including pet-friendly provisions and a business-ready atmosphere, some travelers have expressed concerns over room odors and dated aspects.
The staff's friendliness stands out, though issues with shuttle service have been noted. Despite satisfactory amenities like quality chargers and dining options, critiques center on the hotel's value and the presence of older features, with calls for updates like in-room microwaves.

We only stayed 1 night to be close to the airport so we didn’t take advantage of everything this hotel offered, but it was a clean hotel and we’ll stay again if the need arises. Not only is it a short drive to the airport but there are many restaurants around some within easy walking distance and several gas stations to fill rental cars. I didn’t give it 5 stars because there was a slight musty smell in our room, not enough for my wife to want to switch rooms and it improved as the A/C ran, so I think they just needed to replace the filter. Also the A/C unit was a bit noisy while running, but unless you’re a very light sleeper it was tolerable. We heard no airport noise, and although we didn’t try the breakfast buffet, it was priced more reasonably than those at other cities we’ve visited. When we visit FL again and want to be close to the airport we will certainly stay here again.

I picked this hotel as part of a port transfer bundle to stay overnight and get a cruise port transfer in the morning. Originally this hotel wasn't a good price for our dates, but the bundle brought the price well below market.
The hotel has been renovated in recent times so the property is modern. Notable the bar area had a HUGE jumbotron. The hallways/etc show a little wear and tear.. and our room door could have been a curtain. You could see light all the way around all four sides of the door and it blocked no noise.
Noise from the hallway sounded like it was in your bathroom.. noise from other rooms was noticeable, but not nearly as bad as the hallway noise issue.
The room had the smallest TV I think I've ever seen in a hotel since the digital era... maybe a 24" TV.
The bathroom was clean and serviceable. The hotel lobby was clean and the staff were approachable and helpful.
The hotel location was very accessible to the airport and had half a dozen or more restaurants that were within walking distance.. and a minimart across the street.
Overall if I were paying a bargin rate, I would feel the stay was great. But at $250+ which were the rates for our date... I feel the hotel is below the expected line.
It was a good clean hotel, good location, just not standout and a bit pricey.

I would like to begin by saying that Daniel Ruiz from sales had helped us in an event (Baby Shower) in February of 2024. Everything he did to assist us was done in a very friendly and professional manner.
For August 2024 we contacted Daniel Ruiz for an event with Franco Medical Care. In September of 2024 we were informed that there was a new Event Manager whose name is Yudisleidy Aguero. This individual needs better preparation for her job title. She was very unprofessional. She changed the date of the event, she is very fluent in Spanish and refused to speak to us in our native language. We spoke to her in Spanish and she understood everything and only spoke to us in English as a person who was born in the Caribbean. She never did follow ups about the 3 rooms that we reserved but she did make sure to follow up about the payments before the event. The cost that was offered to us by Daniel Ruiz was not honored by Yudisleidy Aguero; she stated that the price was no longer valid and did not want to honor it. The price she told us about the rooms was over $200 plus per night. Thank you to the district manager Laetitia Perkins, she was very helpful in getting the room cost down to $139 per night per room. Even though it was $20 over it is better then what Ms. Yudisleidy Aguero quoted us. I would like for the next activity of this 2025 year, we would love to have Mr. Daniel Ruiz will be our event coordinator. Thank you to Ms. Santiago, front desk manager, Rodrigo Breakfast restaurant, and the whole front desk staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel is beautiful. Thank you to the district manager Laetitia Perkins again for all the help she did for us in the cost of the rooms.
Very truly yours,
Victor Franco and Noris Franco MD

I don't know why this hotel is still in the chain. Remember when Kemmons Wilson promised that the a/c would work in every room in every hotel or the room was free? The room was hot, the corridors and meeting rooms even worse. I would never return to this place. It's approaching 40 years old, well past the time when old Holiday Inns get dumped over to Days Inn, DoubleTree, or Radisson. Nobody seemed to care that the hotel was too hot. No apologies, no compensation, nothing. Stay far away. I see a new Hyatt Place nearby, will try that out next time.

We stayed here for a single night landing at MCO late, after our car rental company closed for the evening. Our plan was to take the shuttle to the hotel, sleep and then shuttle back in the morning to pick up our car.
The shuttle was fantastic, both to and from the airport. Quick (like a 10 minute ride), and the drivers were extremely friendly. The young lady who checked us in was also great: friendly and made us feel welcome.
The room was not great: an over powering chemical smell that if we has to guess was used to cover up the smell of smoke and / or pot: my wife. No hot water (luke warm at best), dirty carpets, dated furnishings, etc. Also, although it didn't effect us, they charge for parking which seems odd for an airport property that's not downtown,
If you could take the shuttle service to a different (nicer) hotel, you would have a winner!

I came in on business on March 11th, 2024. The lobby looked very nice and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The room I stayed in was pretty worn but it was very clean. The walls are a bit thin. I could hear the people in the room next door discuss all their personal problems. Aside from all the room issues I did not have an awful night experience.
The main thing you need to be careful with this hotel is that they ask you for your license plate number if you are going to park there over night. In my case I gave the information to the lady checking me in. She typed it in the computer. It seems that there is another company, Airgarage, that manages the parking lot and they did not get the info on my license plate so I received a parking violation. I contacted the parking people, sent them the copy of the hotel bill, license plate, and all information but they were very quick to respond saying that the hotel had to contact them, not me and they could not do anything about the violation. I tried to contact the hotel several times but I have not received a call or an email back.
I don't want to think that they would do this on purpose, but as it turns out I will probably have to pay the $59 parking violation as no one has contacted me yet.
This is not a very professional way of running a business, specially a well known brand like Holiday Inn. I am not saying I will never stay at another Holiday Inn again, but I will definitely not stay at this property.

Delta airlines put us up at this hotel when the flight was "extended" into the next day. It appears to be an older hotel that received a facelift, making it more of a "business" type of room with lots of chargers. The plumbing seemed older but the room was nice, sheets were quality, and the staff were very friendly and ready to greet us at the late hour we arrived. We had a nice breakfast in the lobby that was about $40 (paid with Delta vouchers). The manager of the restaurant treated us so well. We also got snacks and a bagel to go. The shuttle runs 24/7 every half hour. Both of the shuttle drivers were very friendly. This unexpected stay was a pleasant surprise.

Airport Shuttle! Yes!! Even at 4:30am to get us to the airport on time. The staff was courteous, kind and efficient. The room & bathroom was very clean, spacious & up to date with Dove Products. The room smelled of fresh paint. So it seems there are renovations and repairs being made to keep the complex fresh. There are enough drawers and the closet was adequate with an iron and board for your needs. There is a hair dryer BUT not ionic or ceramic so heads up for bringing heat resistant products. The AC/Heater is one of those units by the window not HVAC but kept us very comfortable. The complex is much bigger than we thought it was going to be, we were very pleasantly surprised. The shuttle driver was so nice and kind and helpful at the crazy hour of 4:15am. Thank you Holiday Inn/IHG. We would stay again.

Due to a cancelled flight we were put up here by Aer Lingus. There were positives, like the staff were efficient in getting a very large group of people allocated to rooms but the rooms had a damp smell, the carpet was not in great shape, it was disgusting, I wouldnt go on my bare feet. The rooms were dated and very worn down. The bed was comfortable but my bed linen had brown stains on the top layer. The bathroom was old fashioned and there were areas in the bath that could have been maintained better.
I gave the anology, this hotel could be compared to a beautiful woman who had hit alcohol hard and was battered down by life.
The staff were pleasant to deal with and there was no issues with the ground floor area. Breakfast was decent.
