The Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention Center receives commendation for its professional and friendly staff, with its prime location near Icon Park and various dining options being a highlight for numerous guests. While the hotel's amenities, including breakfast, generally earn praise, some visitors have noted a lack of variety and occasional service disruptions. The rooms are often described as clean and spacious, although there are remarks about ongoing renovations and occasional maintenance issues. Despite the overall cleanliness, the value proposition has been questioned by some due to additional fees and construction impact.

The bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious with living area including sofa bed, fridge & sink. Rooms are a bit dated as well as hall ways. They do a good job to keep social distancing & provide you with what you need without much contact. Don't expect your room to be cleaned & made daily during Pandemic, but they will provide you with whatever you need on a daily basis. Breakfast is good, everything is individually wrapped and offer a rotating selection of cold or hot items.
Not very pricy, I would come again. 5 minutes from Orange County Convention Cntr & easy to get in & out.

I spent a couple nights here during a lull between conventions so it was a very quiet stay. Some business travelers and families visiting the amusement parks.

Covid-19 protocols were evident throughout the hotel. At the front desk plexiglass separation, hand sanitizer dispensers in public areas and mask recommendations. No room cleaning unless prearranged with the front desk.

My room was the typical Hyatt Place configuration with sofa, desk and refrigerator at the entrance with walls strategically placed to separate the bed and bath. It was comfortable and clean but could use an update.

Breakfast was a bit unusual that we were required to wear gloves before handling our food. Overall food selection was the standard continental style offerings (mixed fruits, breads, cereals, juices, etc) plus one hot dish each day. A bar was also located on site though never saw anyone inside. At least the hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants, Pointe Orlando, Goodings Plaza or the Icon Ferris Wheel.

Gym was adequately equipped with dumbbells and cardio equipment. A filtered water dispenser was useful.

There was a self parking fee of $10 nightly and I was required to leave the parking pass visible to avoid towing. However the hotel did forget to charge me when I did the online checkout.

I spent 4 days/nights at the Hyatt Place in Orlando in January for the Surf Expo at the Orange County Convention Center. My pre-book price was great and my room with king size bed and office/desk space ample. The location of the hotel was walkable to the Convention Center (about a mile) but, I opted to Uber each way as I knew I'd be on my feet all day. Uber rides were approximately $8.00 to the Convention Center. The staff at Hyatt Place were friendly and helpful, the rooms were quiet and breakfast had healthy options (free-range eggs, juices, granola, fruit and yogurt to go with standard fare of bacon, pancakes and sausage). I was only disappointed with a slow (almost non-existent) WiFi on the open Hyatt WiFi throughout the hotel. This could be upgraded for business people like me who need to work when they get back to the hotel. But overall, my experience was great. I'll be back again to visit the Hyatt Place.

Great location to restaurants, clubs and other attractions, staff was very friendly and accommodating to the best of their abilities that was my only positive experience. As soon as we checked in the room it smelled musty and damped, it was discovered within 5 minutes of checking in that there was a puddle of water behind the toilet. Upon flushing the toilet a little more water came out. I went back downstairs immediately to inform the front desk and they said they would send someone up. About 10 mins later someone came up who made it clear he was not the maintenance man and that the maintenance man would not be in until the next day at 7am. He asked us what time worked for us because he would have to remove the toilet and put a wash ring in and place the toilet back. We stated that we would be out the room by 10a for him to work. Needless to say the maintenance man never came and the toilet kept leaking we had to use one of the wash cloths that we could not afford to use to keep the water from spreading on the floor. We mentioned again to the front desk about the toilet around Sunday and that is when Amy from the front desk sent someone up to look at it. When we returned to the room we noticed that the floor had been cleaned up and did not notice any puddle. Breakfast was very limited and not managed well. Trash spilled over on the floor in the dinning area during breakfast no one changed it. The trash was an unpleasant site to see especially when trying to eat. There was a time when the hot water in the dining area ran out and when I tried to get someone from the kitchens attention I was ignored and had to go to the front desk to request hot water. The room was dated and could use some TLC. There was a shortage of wash cloths during our stay, we checked in on a Thursday and could not get additional clean wash cloths until Saturday which was still a struggle. The bar had an okay selection of drinks but would have been nice if they served food. Overall stay was okay I am a Hyatt member and have stayed at plenty of their locations within the US, I would not stay here again the next time I am in Orlando and would most likely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Let me start with the warning that this was right before the parks (Disney & Universal) shut down for 2 weeks so the staff may have been overly stressed about that. They were not rude or mean, just inattentive and uncaring. I asked for a late checkout on Monday morning (and given that they likely had no one checking in on Monday) they were very prickly about giving me more than 12:30 when I had asked for 1:00. You would have thought I was asking for way more and at 12:30 when walking out of the room, the phone was ringing so I had to go back in and answer it to have the front desk calling to remind me to be out at 12:30. Really? The parking lot was almost empty and with the parks closed, I doubt there were tons of people coming in so would 5 minutes have made a big difference?

The outside of the hotel reeked of marijuana. The lobby and elevators also reeked of marijuana. Maybe it was only a few people who had come through and no reason to think it was staff. The cloud of marijuana reek to get into the hotel though was very off-putting.

Note that the hotel allows dogs! I know that because we had a yippy dog next door all night. Apparently there is an extra charge for cleaning but I am more worried about the barking dog while I try to sleep than I am about the hotel having to clean up after them.

The good things however were that the rooms were large and well laid out. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked really well. My reviews often involve poor AC units so good AC is a big factor for me and they met and exceeded my expectations there. Plenty of electrical outlets and charging ports for electronics too. The room was clean and the location of the hotel was very good.

Overall, I would recommend it and I would stay here again probably.

We have visited all Hyatt Places in Orlando. During the last 5 years of Disney pass holders, we have stayed on them because we rather know what to expect. We had had issues in the past with our stay in this hotel but we didn't care much because things happen and we are not that picky. In this stay, however, they flipped the coin. the worst ever. We were to stay 4 nights and 5 days and left before time because we was given a room that was not disinfected, or used, in months. the room was very dusty and the carpet was stained in several areas. I believe it was a room dedicated to pets, which we have with us, and poorly cleaned. the hotel is smoke-free but you could smell marihuana in the hall and the elevators. They don't clean the rooms until the last day, due to COVID 19 health issues but the staff that we saw cleaning the room didn't have PPE nor used disinfectant. The clean is to be left out of the room door to be collected, the person collecting the trash was rude and threw them back into the main container. the staff is very disengaged and management not to be around. I recommend you stay away from this hotel.

Our room was gorgeous -- very clean and with everything you would need. Cool views of Orlando too. We were "stuck" in Orlando with no luggage. The person at the front desk set us up with bath robes, house slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, and bottled water. What a blessing this was for stranded travelers. We were able to walk to great places to eat nearby. A neat little market on the main level that is open 24/7 if you want to grab something to eat on your flight. So sad what Covid has done to the convention industry, but hopefully it will come back because Orlando Convention Center area is stellar in every way. We are forever grateful to the hotel and their staff for being just what we needed when we needed it.

Visitied the Hyatt Place Convention Center recently for 4 nights/5 days during family trip to Universal Studios and Disney Magic Kingdom. The rooms were comfortable, provided privacy for children and adults and room for us to take naps and play games during down time. The staff went above and beyond in making our stay a great one by providing extras that we needed and decorating our rooms for the kids! Special thanks to Kenneth for helping us with supplies to decorate the room Harry Potter style! The breakfast was slightly different each morning which was appreciated!

Housekeeping kept forgetting to clean room until we complained three of the four nights we stayed there. Complained to manager and they did not care. Rooms are dated and the refrigerator barely kept anything cold.
