Great location. Lots of fun things to do in the area. There are fishing opportunities in the park as well as a dog run and kayaks for rent. The campsite was cozy sized. There were lots of activities and it seemed to be popular with the long term crowd. The rules are very obviously spelled out and the whole park...

We visited Frog Creek to launch our kayaks. For $10 you can park at the RV site and launch down a lazy, oak and moss covered creek that leads out to wider areas for a 2.8 mil paddle. Beware of gators, we didn't see one but they probably were looking at us. Water had some trash (mostly plastic water bottles)...

I reserved a camp site for Thanksgiving and I cancel way before the 90 days. I paid by cc, they had no problem taking money for deposit, but when it comes to refund they charge you a processing fee of 20% and your refund takes 30 days and they send it to you by check. instead of putting it back...

Of the four camping resorts in Palmetto and one in Cortez, Frog Creek was the only one to answer the phone, and I'm really glad. This was a very nice, quite place to stay in May. Lots of shade from huge live oak trees laden with Spanish Moss, a nice small pool, even a creek with kayaks to rent. We...

My wife and I are just finishing up a long weekend stay at this great spot. To be honest, this wasn't our first or second choice but everything was booked for the holiday weekend. From the moment we arrived everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. We scored a great little campsite in the back under a ton of oaks...

Frog creek has the best of old Florida. Oak trees draped with Spanish moss can be found in 70% of the property. Nice and quiet, yet close to a lot of things to do. A very dog friendly place. Our stay here is from January to march. Book early. This park is usually full ,which hints of how popular this resort...

After reading some of the bad reviews I am amazed that some of these were even written. This is the absolute best RV resort we have ever stayed. The staff are the best. They have accommodated us as well as our camping family with utmost professionalism. I think because some that wish to camp in a car or van should...

This is one of the most awesome campgrounds in FL. Whether you want a full hookup site in the Front section of the park or would prefer a w/e site under the beautiful oaks in the back you will enjoy it. Pool, bath house, laundry, game room and activities hall are all spotlessly clean. Everyone is super friendly. They do...

They evicted a friend because her RV was more than 10 years-old. They did take the trouble to "apologize for any inconvenience." How many find it "convenient" to make last-minute plans? Don't try to bring your old Airstream here...

The park does have a 10 year rule for all RV's. That does not mean we will not accept an RV older than 10 years. We do want to make sure they are in acceptable working condition and appearance.

We returned for our second trip to Frog Creek and love the ambiance, the kindness of staff and the safe, family feel it offers. The campground is peaceful and tranquil with river-side seating, mossy oaks and an old Florida charm. Our dogs were also able to enjoy the dog park which is ideal for those like us with 4-legged children....

“Will never stay there”

“Bring bug spray. It's by a creek on a nature preserve in Old Florida; of course there are bugs. Also, do make a reservation and respect the campground rules. We witnessed a couple arrive and set up a tent after hours without checking in; the office and longterm residents were on them and not very friendly about it early the next morning.”

“Bring your own trailer. They do have a rental park model but we've never been in it.”

“It's not a room recommendation but location as you need a camper or a tent to stay here. The T sites in the back are just wonderful. The front sites are occupied by permanent residents and there is hardly any shade.”
