The hotel staff is absolutely amazing! First when we arrived we had problems with our fridge and since my husband needed his insulin refrigerated we got moved to a different room. The morning of checking out we were leaving before breakfast and the very nice hotel receptionist and a sweet kitchen chef Marie made sure we got hot delicious breakfast sandwiches. Will stay there again!

We recently stayed here for 5 nights for a family gathering. It was the cheapest/best rated hotel we could find that was convenient for us. It is about 10 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to downtown Pensacola. It is in a safe area near University of West Florida and Rt 10. The hotel very clean. Our room was very comfortable with great bed and sheets, refrig, microwave, coffee, updated bathroom and great A/C which was necessary since it was 100 degrees some of the days we were there. The staff is pleasant. The breakfast offerings were fine; oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, juice and breads and bagels. Only fruit was old oranges. There is an outdoor pool and gym. Only complaint was some of the carpet needs to be replaced and the furniture replaced with newer pieces in the breakfast area.

Everyone at the front desk is friendly, helpful, & professional. Management takes time to listen, weekly breakfast is good but could do better. The weekend breakfast is actually cooked food like fancy hash browns cooked with bell peppers & onions, turkey sausage, I think, and a soft biscuit. The rooms are designed almost perfect except no hand held shower head to rinse crevices and no ledge in the shower to lift leg to scrub crevices. I LOVE the new soap, shampoo, hair conditioner installation, genius. The size of the shower is ample for rounder guest. Even the size of the refrigerator is perfect It's appx. $200 per night but comfort can be pricey. If you visit the first settlement in the USA & home of the Blue Angels this is the ONLY hotel to invest your staycation. The rooms were designed by a woman & she checked each box except the hand held shower head in EVERY room not just handicap rooms. Oh, I forgot, the shower door needs industrial Velcro to keep the door closed.

This has been my go to place for many years in January but this time it didn’t stand up to the Marriott name. Checking in was not Marriott typical, no smile, no friendliness. My room was typical of the brand, it was clean coming in but from that point on housekeeping seemed to do their best to avoid having to do more than walk in and replace the coffee and towels. Breakfast was again typical decent as always, day one a smiling kitchen person, day two and three forget even trying to say good morning to day ones replacement. Basically it’s time management sit employees down and remind them even on a bad day it’s smiles, friendliness, and a positive attitude that keeps customers like me spending one hundred plus nights using Marriotts each year. The benefits of this location is some restaurants within walking distance and lots of others a few miles away.

First, let me state that we are a "Marriott family" and typically stay in Marriott properties mainly because of the customer service, friendly staff, and included breakfast! Just sharing our family's experience with those considering staying at the Pensacola Springhill Suites. Originally, I submitted feedback to Lindsey Neville (Hotel Manager) regarding our latest stay. I indicated that the location was great but that the breakfast did not live up to the standards promised by the hotel. Ex: served only gravy with sausage bits and gravy, mini waffles, Cherrios, watery orange juice, coffee with no creamer). I explained that one of the primary reasons we chose the hotel was for the included breakfast and asked what assurances she could offer that the breakfast would be up to the promised standard if we chose to give the hotel another chance. I found Ms. Neville's response very interesting in that it seemed to indicate that she was not really interested in retaining our business. Needless to say I was quite surprised by the response. Below is the message I received from Ms. Neville.
"We would provide the brand standard for our complimentary breakfast. We understand if you feel other hotels would suite your needs better. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us feedback. Generally subscribed to all Covid precautions, rooms were well designed, comfortable, ample and spotless. Bagged breakfast with water, muffin and granola bar. Good selection of coffees and teas. The gym was opened by appointment only, but somehow no more time slots were open at 7pm, though I have not seen anybody in the gym. Compared to other Marriotts in West Monroe, Luisiana and in Wichita Falls, TX this was the most observant place for Covid and thus very safe to overnight.

First of all, I want to commend front desk, agent, Jordan, who made my check in flawless and searched for the best rate for my bereavement situation I was meeting my family there for. The room was immaculate clean it was just enough space for me to entertain family as they arrived and we felt very welcomed. The breakfast was perfect. The options were great And then the staff that kept up the food was very friendly. I just enjoyed my stay there and I plan to stay there anytime I come home to Pensacola .

This property or at least the room I was provided was absolutely disgusting. The room was filthy from black oil like stains all over the carpet and the couch, hair in the refrigerator, old food particles all over the floor and stained duvet covers. It was evident that this room had not been cleaned in a very long time. It really needs to be refurbished. Had it not been 1am after driving all day long, I would have stayed anywhere else. The room should not have been provided to any guest ever. I left multiple messages with the property manager and to date I still have not received a response. I’m generally very happy with Marriott properties but I would never stay at this property again nor will I recommend it to any of my clients.

Our favorite hotel in Pensacola we come here everytime we are on vacation. We missed last year and Jack at the front desk still remembered us. Makes you feel at home this staff is amazing. I can't remember the lady that was in the breakfast area most days we were there but she worked very hard to keep up with everything everyone wanted and needed and did it with a smile on her face...they even gave us ideas and options for the best places and times to get to the beach for the Blue Angels show. Would recommend to anyone coming to Pensacola

On Sunday, July 2 we went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast about 45 minutes before breakfast was supposed to be over and they were completely out of food, except 3 pieces of bacon. My husband addressed one of the employees asking if they were going to have any more eggs and she did not even stop walking and just shook her head No. The lady at the front desk was very kind and got the manager. The manager Showed no concern or sympathy, or seemed to even care, and just simply said, we ran out. His name was Eddie Feely. Other customers were also complaining about how rude the staff was when they did something as simple as ask for plates. Extremely disappointed as we are elite members and I am a travel agent and I will never stay at this place again or recommend it.

There are very nice LG flat screens, but they are not "smart". We have in the past used a chrome stick to watch netflix/vudu etc. The TVs are placed on a table between the living and sleeping areas, and swivel easily. The backs are accessible to plug in a streaming device.

3-4 miles sounds about right. From hotel parking lot, take a right...then left...then left at a "Y" in the street just past Olive Baptist Church...and can't miss it. If you go too far, you come to Target and a Starbucks! Not bad...
