The Premier Inn Swansea North hotel garners appreciation for its welcoming atmosphere and clean, family-friendly rooms, though some guests suggest certain areas could benefit from a refresh. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, and its proximity to shops and the M4 makes it a convenient choice for various travelers. Guests enjoy the hospitable service and ample amenities, but some have raised issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and the absence of air conditioning. The spacious and spotless rooms are well-liked, yet a few visitors commented on the need for modernized decor and improved temperature regulation. Despite minor concerns, the hotel is often recognized for offering good value for a comfortable stay.

Well, well. An excellent hotel. It has excellent links to the m4 and swansea. The hotel itself is clean and tidy with free parking and WiFi. Staff are warm and friendly especially Wendy. She is lovely all the staff are. Just a few issues are the neighbouring rooms bathroom are Loud and we could not hear the tv in our room. There is mold starting to grow at the windows that's because you can't open them.

10 out of 10 for customer service and room. Rachel was great with others who's names we dont remember. Then there was young Dan who went way above and beyond his customer services teaching our 8 Yr old Welsh basic words and typing them out for her to take home. We saw Dan three out of our four night stay and not once did he not smile, an amazing young man with great customer care skills. Every business needs a guy like this to promote them, thank you Dan for making our stay and our little girl happy with her Welsh basic language.
Breakfast was lovely and again friendly staff serving. Social distancing was adhered to and hand sanitiser plentiful in the restaurant and hotel. A great stay made so much better by a young lad called Dan.

The room was tidy and clean. However the bathroom had a very distinct cigarette smoke smell. The rooms lack AC and so the room gets stuffy and warm very quickly since you can’t open the window much.

The location reflects the price as the hotel is located on an industrial estate next to a number or late-opening food and drink outlets that attract loud crowds. This meant that you had to choose between fresh air and the lack of noise.

All in all it wasn’t all horrible, really difficult to fault the room at such low prices.

One extra complaint I will make is that we called beforehand to specifically ask if we could store bicycles somewhere other than our room. We were told that such a facility exists. Only upon arrival the story changed and we ended up having to fit 3 bikes inside a room that was already accommodating two adults and two small children.

Had we travelled without children and bicycles the experience would have been more positive. That said I would probably not choose the location again as the noise, the lack AC, the barely opening window and ground floor rooms facing car parks did not lead to a relaxing experience.

I requested a room with a shower or even an accessible room for my elderly mother two months in advance. I had to call four times to chase this and in the end the request was not met. Luckily I had booked another room and ended up swapping with my mother so she could have a shower for easy access. The room allocation needs to be made more strategically, for the three nights we stayed, each morning I was woken up at early hours of the morning as other guests above us had a young child running around and jumping so there was a lot of noise, banging, stomping which ruined my sleep. I reported this to reception after the first night but nothing changed. The wifi is poor. The tea/coffee/sugar is provided for one day despite knowing three nights were booked so we had to ask for more, there are no phones in the room and reception is poor so this wasn’t as straight forward unless you want to walk to the main building to get this yourself. Check out time is 12pm, at 11am we got a knock on the door, by the time I got to the door the staff member had already opened our door despite a do not disturb sign being hung outside the room! When I alerted her to this she apologised and said some people just leave it on but it was still an hour before our check out time! Thankfully I was dressed or that could have been extremely humiliating. Stayed here before but I do not think I will stay again!
The two stars are for the cleanliness of the room and ample parking on site.

We have visited other Premier Inns and never had a problem. This, however, must be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!

First the positives, the staff on arrival were helpful as were the staff in the restaurant on Friday night.
I am afraid that that concludes the positive elements of our visit.

Friday
On entering our room the temperature was 27.6°C.
There was not one opening window. The notice on the window said that there was a continuous flow of fresh air into the room.
So, I switched on the fan and set it to minimum (17°C), I opened the room door; I opened the bathroom door and switched on the light, to turn on the extractor fan. Not very effective though.

We had a hot night will little sleep. Further, the notice on the window that said there was a continuous flow of fresh air into the room does not seem to be accurate, it switches off at night and does not switch on until 8am.

Saturday
We went out for the day and returned to find that our room had not been cleaned. On calling reception, I was informed that they only cleaned rooms when requested in the morning!
I have never before been in a hotel where you have to ring reception to ask for your room to be cleaned! So we spent another night in a hot room which had not been cleaned!

Sunday
I rang reception to ask for the room to be cleaned, only to be told that I should have asked the night before! I was far from impressed and told reception of the events the previous evening. Reluctantly reception agreed to clean the room. On our return that evening, we had a cleaner room

Monday
This was a much better day, we went home.

I am still awaiting a response from Premier Inn.

We were originally put in a room with just a shower, which was completely fine, but I ended up breaking my hand the day before we were due to leave. After arriving at reception I asked if there was any possible way we could have a room with a bath and it was done there and then with no issues. We had one of the best nights sleep we have ever had, we will 100% be staying again. Nothing at all to fault about the hotel.

Room temperature is unsafe for small children, room without air conditioning is too hot and no ventilation, room temperature was 28.5oc. Eventually we were moved to an air conditioned room
But that was after we had found alternate accommodation. Receptionist was listening when trying to explain about the room just kept getting told he went into the loft the other day and it was 50oc in there and he could only last 5mins. If you’d have a small baby or child ask for an air conditioned room when booking as it’s very difficult to get them to understand why your not happy. The room was still 28.5oc with 2 fans and a small crack In the window. We won’t be returning as it doesn’t suit our needs.

We often stay at this Premier Inn due to visiting family in the area. There are a few members of staff who have now become like extended family :) and give you a lovely warm Welsh welcome. There is plenty of car parking available on site. It's ideally located close to an Asda and a few takeaways so it's easy to stock up on supplies. The room and the hotel overall was clean and tidy. Only a short drive into Swansea town center and well positioned for exploring the area. Would highly recommend this Premier Inn

As usual with Premier Inn the standard of the room was superb. Just the right size for two people to stay comfortably and had a modern powerful shower. The only snag was that the air conditioning didn’t seem to work and the windows on the ground floor of the annex building do not open so the room could become stuffy (especially if both staying have a long shower!).

The colleague who checked us in was very pleasant and enjoyed making small talk which did lead to a bit of a delay checking in after a long journey but the experience was pleasant.

Don’t feel pressured into signing up for the breakfast at the Brewers Fayre next door as there is a Costa Coffee and Greggs on the same site. Additionally, a large 24 hour ASDA is just a short walk around the corner.

Location was good for Manor Park Country Hotel which was a short taxi ride that cost around £12.00.

We have stayed in many Premier Inns over the years and this one was outstanding. I phoned them an hour before arrival to ask if our two rooms could be on the same floor and when we arrived our request had been granted and we are three rooms apart. My eldest son, unknown to me had the car door open and not only did the staff track me down to ask if it was my car, they offered to lock the car for me! Every member of staff we met all acknowledged us with a pleasant greeting. At breakfast food was freshly cooked and extremely tasty.

Hello,we were visiting here last month,ok the check in time was 4pm,due to full covid cleaning, check out was 12am. The beds are uk size, king size, big for us but certainly not the us size beds .you must ask for a room with pull out or extra single bed for a child. these rooms are designed for overnight stays, clean and basic at the lowest prices any where per night, but book at least a month before to get lowest rayes, compare, premier is upmarket from travel lodge. No they do not do airport transfer,so it depends where you land,CARDIFF?BRISTOL both close, london is3 hours away, taxis are terrible prices, trains only go to nearest city, you need to plan this, well before you travel. you can travel short disances by taxi, but car hire from airport is best, but again go on compare sites to get best deals. This hotel is outside Swansea in south Wales, you can catch buses here to explore the local area and get into the city, lots of places have still to reopen due to strict covid, even though restrictions have been lifted,we had to prebook meals, entry, and public places, were generally closed, roll on 2022,if we get through the winter. After September it gets dark early and cold untill the end of March. Hope this helps. /

Breakfast is served in the pub next door literally 2 minutes away, which is to be paid for, not included in your room price if I remember rightly, food was reasonably priced & of a decent standard,

With a premier Inn you have to book breakfast so it's an additional price. Kids go free tho with one paying adult. You can ask for an iron as there is usual a hairdryer in their rooms. There was in this one anyway. 😊
