Husband & I stayed in the Reed cabin for a week. LOVED it. Great location, was right on the bay. Cabin was much larger & cooler than the pictures made it look. Was very clean, had great lighting, ac & space heaters, a billion cable channels & fast wifi for bad weather days. All the post & pans, etc. you... More

Cape San Blas is less populated and more natural than many FL coastlines. It also is a bit less 'fancy'. For those of us who like empty beaches and lots of nature without spending tons of money, this location is perfection. We stayed several days at the Old Saltworks Cabins, and we had a great experience. Our cabin had no... More

I'm an outdoor type, rough camped throughout Canada. So, roughing it is not an issue. We picked this place because we wanted to try scalloping. When we got there and started the drive back I thought this was going to be really cool vacation. When we got inside the cabin, the floors wear soft and had a rubbery feel. It... More

We stayed for three nights in one of the saltworks cabins. It a basic cabin with minimum frills. What made it a great stay was the location And the suggestions of things to do by the owner. Andrews state park is just down the road. It is a great place to boogie board and catch some Florida sunshine. There is... More

We visited for the second time in July of 2014. I really like this place and feel bad I did not post a review after the first trip. The first time we were in the North cabin and it was a simple accommodation, perfect for our weekend. This time we upgraded to the Bay House. wow! Well kept up, clean... More

I stayed here in October of 2013. This place is definitely not the Ritz. Pots and pans don't match. Carpet is a bit worn. Furniture is dated. My pillow was not that fluffy. That said, as soon as you pull into the shell and gravel strewn driveway from the main road, you feel like you're driving into something a bit... More

We stayed back in April and had the worse experience. The cabins were talked up to be nice yet rustic. When we arrived late at night..we learned the definition of rustic for sure. It was nothing more than 4 walls put together with a divider. Which would have been ok had we been prepared. The cabin stunk and I had... More

We stayed here with our dog in December, 2013. The kitchen stove was greasy, the ceiling in the kitchen leaked, there was water all over the kitchen floor. The dishwasher was loose from the cabinet. It was cold and the heater barely kept the house warm. The so called docks out back were falling apart so be careful. I couldn't... More

We have stayed here 4 times, once in December and loved it. We have 2 dogs and they picked up a terrible case of ticks and I had to go into town for yard and house spray and dog spray to kill what I could. Both of the couch's were covered in them, but remember this place allows pets of all... More

We stayed two nights here. The road was terrible, there are NO outside lights, the door did not even close properly. The beds were not made there were cobwebs, dust and mold everywhere. The brush outside was so thick you could not walk out back. This may have been a nice place back in the 70's...but not anymore.
