Villa Bergland is located at the edge of central Kragero, only 1.5 Km from centre of the town and about 250 m from the sea. The main house was built in the Art Nouveau style. We have our own kitchen and restaurant that have permission to serve all kinds of alcohol. At our place you'll find all facilities that are necessary for successful conferences, courses and parties. We are specialist for arranging weddings. The hotel has double rooms in the main building and holiday apartments in quiet corner of the large garden. Apartment is 50 m3 with one bedrooms, pleasantly furnished living room with kitchen, TV and bathroom. There is a porch towards the garden. It is possible to rent rowboat, canoe, sailboat and motorboat.

I spent 4 days in Kragerø at the end of May and felt heartly welomed everytime I entered Villa Bergland. The beautiful house and the magnificient surroundings can not be put into words. Therese is a wonderful, charming and natural born host who will make everybody feel at ease from the first moment upon arrival. She was even so kind to offer me breakfast even though the restaurant won't be open before lunchtime. Plus she also never got tired of answering my many questions, gave me many a good tip on where to go and what to see and even improved my very modest Norwegian language skills! A beautiful mansion in a beutiful part of Norway, overlooking the harbour. Great hosts that make you feel welcome. We had a xmas party, and the food was so good. We had a piano player, and lovely cocktails at the bar. Therese, the manager is such a lovely woman, tending to her guests like they are family. Recommend you go here for lunch, dinner or party. Perfect for weddings too. We will be back.

A wonderfully restored old mansion for large and small arrangements, a marriage in our case. Run by a fantastic hostess that was everywhere and with everybody to assure a superior quality, food, drink and servicing. Unbelievable competent! Serving staff as well; quick, on time and discreet. Professionals! Only negative is distance from center of Kragerø, about 2 km. Or 30 walk. Ample parking.

I stayed one night here, and arrived exhausted and a bit stressed. Elisabeth, the manager made me welcome in a very gracious and caring manner. The "rooms" are actually self-catering apartments, very nicely outfitted and well kept. The grounds are beautiful - lawns, and old apple and willow trees. The main building is a large old villa that contains reception, dining room, bar and cafe. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. I ordered breakfast and it was a feast of bread, cheese, meats, jam, and fresh fruit. Most of which was organic and local. This Villa is a little oasis, not far from the center of Kragerø, I highly recommend it.

Me and my girl friend had omelett and chicken salad. Best we ever had! They have a small and simple menu, focus on quality. Great quality staff, friendly hostess wich loves getting new customers. Open in summer season April to September. They are on Facebook.
