We loved it here, we especially loved the gardens, sitting by the fire pits and talking to other guests. The rooms were quaint, only negative is the musty odor in the rooms, but the hotel is old and that is not unexpected. Very friendly staff and everything was sparkling clean. We will definitely be back!

Just by chance we found this gem in May of 2021 and after a four-night stay, we were hooked. Everything and everyone is outstanding. We love the quiet ambience of the grounds and the old world charm. Today we completed our third stay and already are booked to return. We live 2 hours away and it is our go to place when we want a relaxing getaway near home.

Jamie at the front desk was extremely nice and very helpful! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. You can hear the doors open and close from other guests in the shared houses, but not surprising given the age of the buildings. Within walking distance to most everything. Will be back!

Avoid the Night of Lights unless you like being among 10,000 people crowded into downtown. Hotel has charming courtyard but our room was overlookiing a parking lot. Some staff were rude but others were lovely.

Hi Liza, I'm sorry you had to deal with the crowds, but you happened to visit during the opening night of Night's of Lights. If you want to see the lights when it's less crowded I would suggest you book in January when the lights are still up and much of the crowds have gone home. Depending on the room type you book you may overlook the street, unfortunately we are in the middle of the historic district, but keep in mind there are many quiet and picturesque places to sit in the gardens and around the fire pits. Happy travels!

The Inn was amazing! Very relaxing and quaint. All amenities were well maintained and clean. The room was cleaned regularly and towels refreshed daily. Morning breakfast options were good and on-site bar was amazing. Many open areas to explore and enjoy just sitting by the fire. The gardens are well maintained and contain many, beautiful, old statues.

We planned to stay 2 days but stayed 3. It rained and the city flooded, so we literally couldn't leave. Nor could we get food. Did I mention the power went out and we had no electricity. No back up generator. When I asked the front desk about how we might get some food, they suggested waiting til the water receeded and then call doordash. So we stayed an extra day because we couldn't leave. We paid full price.

Dear "gvgray", It didn't rain, it was Hurricane Nicole. Unfortunately the entire city flooded and the city turned off the power when someone foolishly walked through 2 feet of water and got electrocuted. Full power was back on by 5:30PM. I wish we had control of these things but we don't. I sincerely hope you understand.

It was very nice, room very clean and nice. But to me for a luxury place they Nichol and dime you. As a customer to pay what we did a night, to turn around and pay $15 plus for a drink etc. was a little much for me. The bikes are a bit of a mess and really need to be replaced. The breakfast is the one that got me. The same every other day...no variety and when the turkey sausage is micro'ed and tastes like rubber and NO taste, I was a bit taken back, then realized everything is micro'ed. I know they don't have a kitchen...but for luxury title I expected a little more let a lone variety each day something special. The property is very clean, the staff is very nice...I just felt that luxury is a very loose term. I have stayed at other places for 1/2 the cost and they had so many extra's offered. for example I had to pay $2 PLUS tax for a soda and other location they just gave it to you. This is just 1 example of many things. Again it was very nice, I just don't think I would stay again, because of those reasons. you only get a turn down the 1st night, which I was like that is so nice....but boom, just the 1st night. when we arrived we got the sample of Sangria, which was nice. but didn't get the water bottle like everyone else did...so I had to ask. Again very nice location, rooms, staff....they rest I feel for luxury needs a little help. One last thing our TV was messed up, I asked about it and never heard another word and lived with the messed up TV.

Hi Christine, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. Just to clarify some of your comments; We do have to microwave hot items because we are not allowed to build a commercial kitchen (the buildings are all historic). The hot items are changed out every day. We also offer our guests 2 Happy Hours each night where all drinks are half off. The regular prices for drinks in The Well are actually lower than the other area bars especially since we only offer local or small batch spirits. I'm glad that the staff made you comfortable during your stay and hope you will come back to visit again. Cheers,

This is the third visit we have had the pleasure of staying at the Collector. What a wonderful place to get away and relax. The hotel is just stunning, the rooms are just perfect, and the beds are magnificent. I love that we can park and walk to anything we want. Keep up the great work. We will see you again soon!
