Pros: Excellent cleaning service. They were in daily to replace our towels and wash the floors. It had a nice clean smell when you walked in not a chemical smell. Room layout was nice and we liked the small enclosed patio. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of natural light. Complimentary drinks and breakfast were good. Did find it odd that since they have a line nightly, we will had to get a table to get our drinks instead of having them to go. Very close to town and within walking distance of everything. Cons: Never received a paper during check in that states what the guidelines were, times for breakfast, drinks, or the wifi password. It was more like here are your keys and sharpie drawn on a map of where to park. Not welcoming like the St Francis, Kenwood, etc Zero maintenance! Literally the worst maintenance I’ve ever seen. This place could be amazing. It really could but they need to actually care. Of our 6 B&Bs we’ve stayed at in St. Augustine, this was by far maintained the worst. Where to even start. Bathroom: My husband went into the bathroom and the door handle fell off so he had to tighten the screws with his keys. The toilet paper holder kept falling out of the wall. The shower light just flickers like you’re in a horror movie. The cleaning staff said maintenance fixed it. There was no change, so boy was it fun shaving at 6am with no shower light. The bathroom mirror is antiqued so you can’t see clear in it to get ready. You have to use the little mirror attached to the wall next to it. The antiqued mirror is pretty but not practical. Also, the storage for the shower towels is in the shower. No joke. Move the huge unnecessary photo off the wall and hang some shelves. Let’s be practical. Kitchen: The kitchen is not as you’d expect. Missing silverware, plates, zero bowls, etc. I didn’t expect to cook a meal on vacation but appropriate silverware, dishes, and something to cover up leftovers in the microwave would have been nice. You know the knife blocks that sit on counters? Yeah, missing all but one knife and the sharpener. It just looks trashy like they have zero cares. They didn’t even have paper towel. Theres a wine bucket with a large trash bag inside that sits on the table. They don’t even have an ice machine and if so I definitely wasn’t told about it during check in🤦‍♀️ Enclosed Patio: Event size but caving in really bad by the step. Definitely hazardous for guest and a huge risk to the owner for the lawsuit happy world we live in. Secret Garden: More like trash pit. Doesn’t fit into the same category as the other B&B/Inns as far as scenery. It’s not relaxing and beautiful with lights like all the others. It’s filled with dead plants, dirt, piles of dead leaves, and patio furniture was missing cushions. It’s 100% not beautiful and relaxing like previous pictures show. So much potential but very run down. With the right owner and maintenance crew, this place has potential to be the best St Augustine has to offer. It just needs some TLC. If you’re looking for a beautiful and maintained place to stay go to the Collector, Bayfront Marin, Kenwood, or St Francis. They also have free cocktail hours and breakfast.

The good things were the location the perks that came with the reservation such as a free martini coupon for each day & free breakfast. The waitress Danielle is truly a gem. Now to the negative. Furniture is too large for the bedroom. Very hard to move around. No mirror except in the bathroom. Place needs repairs. Bathroom is missing tiles & trim work. No room to move in the bathroom too. We had a double sink & on one side the water was just a trickle. You never had hot water in the sink & was iffy if you had it in the shower. One morning I had about 2 minutes of hot water. There aren’t coffee makers, fridges or microwaves in the rooms & no place to there to get coffee until 8 am. The closest coffee is several blocks away. We were with a group & each room was laid out different but the complaints were pretty much the same. It is an hotel dating to 1914 but it has so much potential to be better. It just felt dirty with the condition of the bathroom tile. The bartender & waitress Danielle were the only friendly employees there. Some were really close to being rude especially at breakfast. There is no parking there either. I mean none. You have to park a few blocks away & take your chances to get a spot which is really inconvenient. I wouldn’t stay there again nor would I recommend it.

My husband & I stayed here because it was pet friendly, and good location. We've stayed here once before and the room we had in The Secret Garden was not bad our last stay room#30, this time we had Room #28. The Secret Garden is run down, not kept at all. Our room was dingy, dark no closet we had to hang our clothes on a coat hanger they had in the Kitchen area, the outside seating area was horrible, with this out door carpet & since it had rain it felt like you were walking on a wet sponge and dragging that into your room. The check in was a horrible experience, we arrived at 1:30pm, the room was not ready they did provide a parking pass, I was told that the room would be ready by 3:30pm, latest 4pm and I would be called, I never got a call so at 3:30pm i come back to find out the room is ready but no TV in the Bedroom, now is a different person I guess the night shift front desk she was very nice & tried getting us into a different room and at this point I didn't care about a TV in the room I just wanted a clean room , so we stayed in Room #28. We paid $300.00 a night, that did include breakfast & two drinks daily. Over all I would never come back, the one positive thing was everything was within walking distance & we never moved our car. This is not a family Friendly hotel The web site is misleading is nothing like the pictures. I do not recommend this place for $300.00 a night.

1st time staying at (what was stated B&B). Only spent 1 night; I had planned to stay 3 nights. There was a 1-2 gap under the door for any critters to get into the room. Lock on door was wobbly. It has a window air conditioner unit that the accordion sides would not open up to seal the window. Did not feel safe in this room. Drunk people from the bar going past the door from the bar most of the night. Stayed the night only to be rudely awakened at 7:00 am with a lot of noise. Apparently, they had scheduled to have the parking lot redone. I could not get out of my room. Called the front desk and someone did come and speak with the workers. I finally got out of my room and was so disgusted by then I had packed all my things to check out. Go to get breakfast and all that was left was about 5 pieces of fruit, water and some bread to make toast. I checked out. If they new they would have construction going on they should have never rented that room. Left a back taste to try a B&B again.

We are unsure if this review was meant for our property as we have a cook to order breakfast provided by a full kitchen and do not have self serve items available. We also have not had any parking lot work done since summer of this year. We believe this post was made in error and may be for another Inn around the area.

Met family for three nights. No towels, no cable, no hot water in all three rooms! Very disappointed and will not return. It’s unfortunate because it very easily could have been so much better. Friendly service but they were just obliging us.

Absolutely the cutest place. The room was wonderful, the shower was amazing, 5 different heads coming at you after a day of walking. The bar and food very nice. Loved Nekeshia she showed us to our room and where to park, Lisa bartender was so much fun to chat with. I recommend staying here, the view at night is the best. One bad thing is that there is a 3 inch step going from the inside to the veranda with no markings and I fell hurting my knee and ankle. Luckily it was at the end of the night and went straight to bed. Will definitly stay here again.

Great place to visit to soak on the first city in the North American continent by Europeans. Just truly a place full of history. Park the car an take the Tralley. You can get on or off any of the 16 stops. There’s not a lot of parking.

We did not stay at the hotel but it has a great martini bar. As we traveled by boat, we stayed at the Conch House Marina/motel which has a great deck bar. Seems there's a trend here. Casablanca though is located strategically convenient to Augustine's historic area. We are trying to secure ten rooms in January for a company event if they would get back to us.

I loved the location as you are walking distance to many tourist attractions and st george st for all the great little unique shops. The breakfast was included for a standard breakfast(eggs, bacon, muffin) and they had many other offerings not included as different benedicts which were very good as we ate there for breakfast several times. This was an anniversary weekend for us to see concert at local ampitheatre which was awesome venue in the state park which is like 2 miles away. When we showed up we were sent in the back called secret garden. That came with free parking which was a major plus for the area. Now the bad parts. When we showed up my wife loved the mostly private area with private balcony but when I went to open the door it was open already. I slowly opened the door and room was not ready and seemed like maybe staff was using shower as front desk said noone had the room night before. They moved us to another room next door and smelt musty and was not as nice. On our anniversary dinner night we came back to get ready and staff filled our parking spot as many were at the bottom doing laundry etc so we went back out for a bit and came back and was able to park in manager spot. My wife tried to used to hair dryer provided in the unit and blew the breaker so the TV, the lights, and ac went out. Luckily there was a staff member below where they do laundry and they flipped the breaker. My wife turned on hair dryer and boom lights out again so they reset breaker and she was over it as a woman on her anniversary dinner couldnt do her hair. Still went to Michaels which was amazingly good. We were booked until Monday morning and we checked out Sunday morning as my birthday was that Sunday as well that weekend and my wife got us another room down the street as she says she wants to be able to get done up for me without the lights going out and when I cant see her all I smell is musty aroma. So great location but property needs improvement. Friendly staff

We stayed in the carriage house with a balcony overlooking Charlotte Street and it was heaven! The room was very clean and well appointed. The charging area on the nightstand was thoughtful and appreciated since we forgot to bring an extra plug-in adapter. The balcony was very comfortable even in the heat due to the ceiling fan. Parking was less than a block away and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good. A huge Thank You to the Casablanca Inn and staff for a lovely stay at your hotel! Neil & Michaelle
