Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in May. This resort has everything you need. Beach with chairs( free) and umbrellas( $15). Resort has the same feel as Mexico all inclusive hotels, only on smaller scale. Lots of places, chairs, sofas with pillow to sit outside, firepits. very romantic. Free breakfast had plenty to offer ( served as buffet but as portions). Beautiful lobby design. We had a suite(2 rooms), very spacious with luxury look and feel. We had room on opposite side of the ocean and I think I like it even better as we had unobstructed view on the valley. Beds were comfy. had coffee machine, fridge and even small kitchen sink. Resort has free bike rental, which we used and very much enjoyed riding around. there 3 beaches to select from. 1 is for hotel guests only , 2nd public for all hotels that don't have their own beaches access and you can drive a bit further to the end of the island to the tip. It was very windy on the tip. Hotel has nice pool area, we didn't used, but people did. beach towels are provided. Though hotel was 100% booked we didn't have problem fining a chair to sit in the evening outside or day time. It didn't feel like it overcrowded. Parking $40 a night. valet only. There are few restaurants walking distance. All are good , food is fresh and tasty. Quite busy, but line goes fast. We also dinned at Resorts restaurant. It was VERY tasty, expensive, but worth it. If I even be back to the St. Augustine I will be staying in this resort only. Note: Visit a " Home of Lightner Museum". It is a former hotel that has lots of aristocracy items, very historic. Beautiful place for pictures also. Located in Downtown of St. Augustine.

Thank you for sharing your experience with other guests! I am glad you enjoyed everything. If you liked Lightner Museum, you should also do the Flagler college tour, which is another one of Henry Flaglers original resorts. One correction, valet parking is $28. Please come see us again!

From arriving at the location to my last day, this resort went above and beyond with top notch experience. Abraham in the pool area was incredibly accommodating, and Julie did a appreciable job with the kid activities in the pool area. Considering it was November, and a bit chilly during our visit, I was impressed with the amount of activities they offered. The front desk (especially Ellen) would ask me when I came in how my day was. I am sure they do this to everyone, but I really felt like she truly wanted to know. Lastly, the housekeeping was very clear about the schedule (which I appreciated) and met the expectations they set up. I will definitely be recommending this hotel

Thanks for being our guest and recognizing our amazing team members! This time of year, we do get some cool temperatures, but perfect for a walk on the beach, or a trip downtown. I call it Florida Cold, though, as many of our northern friends laugh at me when I say it's not beach season. Thank you again for being our guest!

Overall, we had a very good stay here. Large, clean and welcoming lobby and easy and friendly check-in with front desk. Rooms were beautiful - very modern and clean. Beds were very comfortable, and even though our room was right above the parking lot, we could not hear any outside noise. Enjoyed the free breakfast and happy hour, and loved that you could enjoy both outside. Pool was large and they provided rafts and toys, which was great for our 6-year old. Pool bar made great drinks and good food. Many previous reviews have stated that there is no beach, but we were okay with just the pool. However, I can see being disappointed if you had planned to be on the beach so do want to highlight that. Location was nice in that you could walk to a couple decent restaurants, and driving to downtown St. Augustine only took 5-10 minutes. A few things that could be improved upon - we ate dinner at the hotel one night (food was not great) and sat outside where there was live music. The tables were completely dark - no lighting whatsoever. We could not see what we were eating. I actually went into to ask for a lantern or light of any kind but the front desk did not have any. There were other people sitting at these tables as well, so I don't think we were the only ones who had the idea to eat dinner outside. The parking price is outrageous and self-park should be an option. Starbucks is convenient but service was very slow. Finally, during our stay, there was an electrical failure at the hotel in the middle of the night, causing outlets to blare loud beeping noises constantly, lighting to flicker, elevators not to run, emergency lamps needing to be set up in the hallways, etc. Understand that things happen - but the staff could have been more proactive about communicating, such as posting signs on elevators or main doors so we knew an approximate timeline for the fix or sending an email or text message about the problem itself. Despite the minor improvements that would help the hotel, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time we are in the area.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I think you hit some good points about the location and access to everything. I really am sorry about the power outage. It was from outside the building, but I definitely understand how it was inconvenient, especially due to the timing. I will take your notes and add them to our emergency binder, as we should have had people staged on each floor communicating, instead of just down in the lobby. Once again, thank you for being our guest, and we do look forward to welcoming you back again.

Return trip to our favorite beach stop. The site has got battered from the weather again, with the lower deck near the pool wiped out. They did a good job recovering with the pool available for use. Points to note: - the pool is heated, but still feels cool. In November you’re going to get cold. - the hot tub is warm not hot. It was cool enough that our kids were playing in there. Oddly enough the chalk board by the hut gave the temperature of the sea, not the pool lol - they didn’t run out of towels this trip - the sea view isn’t that great when the windows are dirty. Agreed, weather did come through recently, but I would have expected that would’ve been a priority - they still have limited number of luggage carts. They need to get some more - full sized ones, not the half size ones. A family of five comes with 5 cases and 5 day bags at least. A half sized trolley doesn’t hold it. It took two trips to the car, which obviously slowed down the valet process. It’s a good hotel, but for the $$$ it’s not all that.

Thanks for being a repeat guest. I am sorry that things were still lingering from the two hurricanes, but we've done a lot since we re-opened, and continue to make repairs. Currently the pool deck is open, as is the Cantina and all other amenities. We're refreshing the landscaping that was damaged, and really the only issue is the seawall and beach access to the east as those areas are going to take a while to get permitted. Everything else I am happy to say is back up and ready for guests.

My wife and I made reservations November 11th through the 13th, 2022 to stay at the Embassy Suites in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. I called a head of time to ask if the hotel was in good condition due to hurricane Ian and tropical storm Nicole making its way through the area. I was told there was only minor damage to the outside area. Subsequently, I reserved hotel room 325 on online. When we checked into the hotel, we were given the key to room 325. When we walked into the room it was not been serviced. I called the front desk and spoke to the manager, who told me that I should not have been given that room and that I could not stay in that room. I told him I would wait for the room to be cleaned, but he still would not allow us to stay in that room and could not provide an explanation as to why we couldn’t stay in that room. To add to the frustration the hotel pool was full of beach sand and the beach was destroyed due to hurricane Ian and tropical storm Nicole. My vacation was going downhill fast. I contacted Hilton Honors to complain, and we immediately started looking for another hotel to stay at. I went online and found the Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront. I walked into the hotel, and I spoke to General Manager Scott Dial and Division Manager Branden Mullins and explained my situation. These gentlemen went completely out of their way to assist me and wife with a room. Without exaggeration they saved our vacation. The room they provided to us was great, the restaurant was great, and the staff was simply outstanding. Lastly, the location was within walking distance of all the historic sites. In the future when we will travel to St. Augustine, the Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel will be our first choice of the Hilton family of hotels. Signed Hilton Diamond member and Hilton Grand Vacation owner.

I am very sorry you were given poor information, as we certainly didn't want to mislead. We literally just opened the hotel back on the 11th and had posted on our website that we had damage to the hotel and that the pool and beach were closed and would not re-open for 7 days. room 325 had water damage that we were still working to get corrected. Once again, we appreciate your loyalty to Hilton and your understanding that we were hit by 2 hurricanes in 30 days that caused damage to the coastal side of our resort. The good news is our pool is back open now and so is the pool deck. All the rooms are also back open and we are ready to lite up the hotel for the holidays. We hope you will reconsider during a future visit.

The hotel is very clean. I felt secure with the elevator being room key access only. It's right on the beach. I got the king suites with the balcony and it's nice and spacious. Check in was easy with Latoya. I feel every representative should be a little more like Latoya.

I almost hate to publicly rate this hotel because it's Diamond on the beach. The property is very clean and almost still smells brand new. Staff is very accommodating and makes you feel welcome at every turn. Great pool area and even with the beach area wiped out by the recent hurricane the access to the state park beach is basically steps away.

Upon entrance the hotel has a beautiful lobby and front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside lobby and outside. There are several gas firepits in the deck amidst beautiful palm trees. And the pool deck is kept immaculate by the pool manager, Abraham! There are activities for kids and adults. We had a wonderful time with family and friends at the pool! And I must mention the breakfast! The made to order omelets are the best I have ever eaten! Thank you Embassy Suites!
