I have no words for this place, worst place ever. Check-in clerk was horrible, I felt like I am not in the USA. No basic manners in customer service. No please, thank you, sorry, I apologize etc. Lobby area was completely closed and clerk operated through a small window. There was a long line of guests (6-7 people) but he didn't care one bit. We made a reservation 1 week before (for 2 rooms). When we arrived around 8:30pm, he was very shocked to see us and I thought that there are no rooms available for us. We finally got a key to our rooms, but we could not believe our eyes. The room was under the construction and smelled like mold and urine and a zoo. Even the room next door smelled the same. People that checked in after us, got their room next to us so we were able to smell it. When we returned to cancel our stay, clerk did not even ask why are we canceling and what was wrong, nor he apologized for any inconvenience. Make sure to see my photos of the rooms. This placed deserves to be closed forever.

When we checked in we could get a key: machine out of order. We had asked for a down stairs unit when we stopped at the hotel but the woman on the desk refused to take our information until 3pm. When we returned there was only an up stairs room which was almost impossible to climb in my boot cast. The person sent to open our door announced upon opening the door that the picture had been stolen off the wall. We had 1 wash cloth, 2 hand towels and 1 bath towels. No one would answer the when we called and the next day when we asked for wash cloths we were told they only had 2 size cloths. The room was in disrepair. The table top under the tv was broken and held up with a wooden shim. The bath tub was broken, cracked in three areas and soft and sagging in the bottom. The Econolodge office was never open so we had to use the Howard Johnson’s office. We we told by our tour company to have our hotel call them and a shuttle would be sent for us but the lady on the desk refused. The office opened after 10 and closed before 5. No help was to be had by phone. We were an inconvenience to the staff. Don’t stay here. .

The owner charged us 70.72 cent for a room that’s usually 40 dollars on top of that the rooms was disgusting old food and trash in the dressers I was told to throw them away my self I asked for a refund this man was so angry with me as if it was my fault and here it is March 5 and my money still haven’t been returned he been answering my phone calls until today I talked to him two days ago and he said if the money wasn’t on my card he would give me cash today ! which he should’ve did anyways because he said my card was rejected for a refund so now I’m on my way there with the police very distasteful I would never recommend nobody to spend money with someone like this ! Oh before I leave he told me I get what I pay for this room not worth 20 dollars so I’m sorry that wasn’t what I paid for
