I wanted to write a recent review since there were a few negatives here about the resort needing work. The place is gorgeous, and clearly updated. (Photos included). The room is designed for comfort. The beds are comfy, and the bathroom has the largest shower I’ve had at a hotel. Everything is for convenience- from the top notch coffee station, to the remote control to control the thermostat. I don’t smoke, but it’s nice having chairs outside your door with an ashtray provided. The pool is 12 steps from my room. The restaurant (beautiful water views), is not much farther. The front desk check in was flawless. Truly the perfect place to relax, or to go to the many nearby sites.

I don’t normally have the time to write reviews but this one really needed it. We usually have a tough time as a young family of 7. With 5 kids under 9, we don’t usually feel welcomed at restaurants but the conch house was amazing and so welcoming to us. The manager got right on seating us way sooner than we deserved, he was kind and so interactive with our kids and they went above and beyond for us. Food was excellent. I’m a huge foodie and very picky, I was impressed. The kids meals were huge and cheap.
We sat in one of the huts and it was the most relaxing place ever. We watched dolphins, fish and cool crabs from above and enjoyed our time thoroughly. I could have stayed there all day.

Relaxed atmosphere with reasonable prices. Bands playing but not so loud you can’t have a conversation without yelling. Fresh fish was awesome and cooked to perfection. Perfect casual date night with the marina in view to see all of the boats.

We traveled the last week of March 2022 chose this establishment because there weren't any rooms available in the old town area.

At first glance, cute place. Staff was courteous. However, the interior of the room was unacceptable. View the photos to understand what the room looked like. Housekeeping is non-existent. In the morning we took COLD showers, not by choice. When we checked out, my husband did tell the front desk that we had absolutely no hot water. Also, water pressure was a small trickle. All the clerk asked was which room were we in. Management needs to take a closer look as to how the property is being maintained. A sign in the kitchen states that the kitchen and bathroom are circa 1930 original and display the charm of the era. Fine, display the charm of the '30"s but keep it clean and replace worn and damaged items.

This place is great! The restaurant is amazing the lounge has live action and it’s near everything! These people bend over backwards to make your trip perfect!! The kitchen is adequate to reheat some leftovers and cook some basic meals. Overall very clean . In full disclosure the units are being updated though they will always be quaint old school Florida units. Full living room , separate bedroom bathroom and kitchenette. In addition there is ample parking and a huge covered porch to hang out under. The grounds are pristine and the pool is great too.Highly recommend!!

Sheets are like sand paper, 2 towels and no extra toilet paper. It’s worth maybe a motel 6 price. Restaurant has good food but mostly fried and location is ok. It’s a fishing camp with high prices due to the location.

We brought the boat down from Fernandina for an over night stay on Labor Day weekend. A room w/ a king was $300, which didn't surprise me. What surprised me was when we opened the door to our room. I've stayed at Motel 6's for a lot less that were twice as nice as these rooms. Rooms are extremely old. The headboard was half hanging off the wall, TV was stuck on another language and the buttons didn't work, found several bugs in the coffee maker, etc. We probably wouldn't of been upset if we paid $100, but $300 a night is ridiculous for this place!! The 2 stars are for the marina and restaurant, otherwise it would of gotten 0.

On a positive note, the marina, restaurant and marina lounge were great!! No complaints there. If you're boating to the Conch House, rent a slip at the Marina but stay elsewhere.

Room #2 in the original 4-room motel built in 1946 and it is soo cool! Great restaurant and marina bar on the water is over-the-top an awesome place to stay. We stayed for two nights while visiting St. Augustine amphitheater for a rock concert and we were only 1.5 miles away. We felt like we were on the set of I love Lucy. The place is quaint and cozy and we love the nice pool surrounded by tropical foliage. We have already booked three nights in October 2022!

This review is long over due! Apologies to Amber / Kylie she deserves better.
On a trip to the St Augustine area looking for property we ate at the Conch House. The food was outstanding (as it always is, we stop here every trip to the area)
Our waitress was Kylie but went by Amber (or was it the other way around :) ...) It is rare that someone in customer service absolutely shines in their job but she nailed it. My wife and I have both worked extensively in customer service related jobs and at one time owned a hotel with restaurant and bar. Our experience has taught us how difficult, and thankless, these jobs can be. So, thank you Amber for taking care of us and, again, I'm sorry this recognition took so long.

This was our 3rd time and it was Free. But, they gave us the same exact room we had before. The TV did not work properly. The Kitchen was dirty and no bulb on the overhead light. The bedroom smelled really funny and needs to be painted really badly. The lights on the end tables had not been dusted in a long time. Dylan, the Owner's son is Awesome and he really does his Best. I just wish the whole resort was finished being remodeled.

Is there transportation from your place to downtown St. Augustine?
Answer from Becca Wagner
St. Pete Beach, Florida40 contributions2 helpful votes
When we did drive we used Uber/Lyft. Usually about $7-$10 depending on the night. We honestly walked a lot. Mellow mushroom and a local brewery are about a 5 minute walk from there and downtown was about 15-20 minutes.
