When I arrived and checked in the staff wasn't very friendly, specifically asked for no maid service, too many expensive items in my stuff, they agreed. Got to the room and it's definitely not the best, holes in walls, toilet paper stuffing holes and cracks, the toilet leaks all over the floor, wall lamps don't work. Walls are dirty, bathrooms have mold, and maid service decided they needed to come in while I was gone even though they agreed not to enter the room. Shady characters all around, in my opinion go 1 block up the street to the Economy inn.

Liked · The room was completely remodeled. 5 star? No. But done nicely, and done correctly. It was clean when we walked in. Furniture was older, but not broken or trashy. The location of the hotel was magnificent. 6 blocks from the historical downtown area, and 3 blocks from the Old Town (Jail and Store) attractions. The staff was nice. The sweet older lady that cleaned the rooms was very nice. She doesn't come banging on the door at 8 am to clean the rooms like other locations. Both days she showed up around 11 in the morning, which was nice for the people that like to sleep in. Very well lit at night. It did its purpose for us as a place to sleep and get ready for the next day.

Disliked · Frist off, you can tell they are adding new items into the rooms, and are still currently remodeling room by room (We could hear the workers a couple of rooms down). So, these few feedbacks may change in the near future at the property.

The bed wasn't comfortable. It may have been the pillows. They were very flat, coupled with the hard bed, we woke up with back pain every morning. Although they have nice, new blinds in the window, they don't block the light completely, even the lights outside to brighten up the property at night. Maybe add some curtains so customers can block out the light? Towels, even though they were clean, were older, over washed, and stained. Maybe the next round of new amenities purchased for the rooms should be towels and washcloths. There was no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. Other hotels in the area that compare in pricing offer these amenities.

We booked two nights for a quick getaway with grandkids.Because of Bike so in Daytona nor much choice. Floor of room was dirty enough to turn our bare feet black.
Rub needed good cleaning. Beds had seen better days and pillows were not fluffy

In flip side, it was across street from Holy Shrine and down street from Fountain of Youth and walking distance to historic area. Manager was nice and provided extra towels we neded.

Only port in the storm....We survived but would not book again.

When we arrived to check in, we were greeted by a sign that said "back in ten minutes." The clerk came from behind the counter with no shoes, no socks, but bare feet. When we went to our room it wasn't esthetically pleasing but for a low fare we didn't expect the Ritz. The problem was the clump of hair in the corner, makeup on the pillow case, and feces in the toilet. When we went to the front to question the precautions taken for Covid and to request a clean room, he showed us a different room however this room was worse. There was a mold or blood stain on the shower curtain and muddy boot marks across the floor. The clerk was willing to refund my our entire stay after showing him what we observed and was kind about it. This hotel was below any standard of cleanliness

Staying here was a mistake, the rooms were filthy, paint peeling, musty smelling. The bathroom was dirty. I asked for a luggage rack and they didn't know what that was.

We booked it because it was close to the historic areas and we could walk. That is the only plus.

This place is a DUMP!!!! It would take too long to describe how awful and disgusting this place was. I've traveled a lot and been to the best in the world to the worst and this was below that. Everything was old, outdated, no soap or shampoo, no cups, no hair dryer, really there was nothing, not even one piece of cheap art on the walls, dingy towels, one roll of toilet paper on the roll, just to name a few. And the floor, I need to clorox my feet. Sleep in a tent first.

A nice little spot, can tell it's a little older than the other places, but not bad at all.
Quiet, right on the strip, not far from the center of town. Walked basically everywhere we went except for the comedy club over the bridge...decently priced, a little outdated, but nice sized room, comfortable bed, cute little area. Definitely recommend. Only real complaint is the pillows left a little to be desired, neck was slightly sore.

We found that finding a pet friendly place to stay close to the historical district of St. Augustine was a difficult task. We took our chances with the Scottish Inn. While the people were very nice, the room was dusgusting. There was paint peeling from the ceilings, nasty stains on the beds box spring, pillows that looked liked they were run over by a steam roller, hard beds, toilets that don't flush well, sinks that don't drain (even after they come and "fix it" by taking out the stopper), paper thin stained towels, and a nasty filthy bathroom that doesn't look like the tile has been wiped down since the 1950's when it was built! Oh yeah, we even had to kill a giant palmetto bug (ROACH)! This place is rated a two diamond by AAA. What a joke. The only reason I can think it has a two diamond rating is because it has a pool. The pool is also very old and needs some repair work just like the rest of the place. By the way, when we woke up, our dogs bowl had fleas in it. The room obviously was infested with fleas. We had to de-flea our dog in the garage when we got home and quickly give her a flea bath before we let her into the house with our cats.

For the first time we stay in Saint Agustine, and found so many choices on hotels and attractions, that can be overwhelming. To be honest you don't need a luxury hotel if you going to be out all day, you only need to be close by the action, right? So in this hotel you are walking distance to basically everything. Big room, little outdated maybe, but very quiet, to had a good night rest. Microwave and fridge included and low rates. Nice option for "on budget" kind of trip.
