The Economy Inn is well located within walking distance of the fort, Old Town, museums and a number of parks. There are abundant restaurants, pubs and shops all walking distance from the Inn. We stayed two nights and didn't move the car.

The owners / operators and all staff were very nice and very helpful. The rooms were very clean ( I mean very clean...walked on carpet with white socks and they stayed white!!!). The room was well appointed with good linen, thick bath towels, comfortable bed and pillows. There are fridges with freezers, microwave and coffee makers in the rooms and FREE parking!!! Local parking is $2.50 per hour.

They also have a nice second floor sun deck for guests. Nice for watching the sun set. But beware the stairways are a bit narrow!

If you are looking for the Hilton/Marriott type of lodging keep looking. You won't be happy here. But if very clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced lodging is your thing look no further than the Economy Inn.

We were in room 236 on Jan.6-7. We would definitely stay with them again!

We were stopping in St Augustine for a quick overnight on our way home from a long trip. We weren't looking for frills, just a place to stay near attractions we could walk to. Economy Inn was perfect. The owners were friendly and helpful upon check in an hour early. We stayed in a 1st floor king room. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The bedside table lamps had outlets which were great for charging our phones. The bed & pillows were comfortable. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The ac unit was mounted in the wall and might be a bit high for a shorter person to reach the controls.
As we settled in for the night we could hear noise from outside, possibly from the pizza restaurant next door that was having karaoke. We set the ac unit fan to blow continuously and it drowned out all the noise.
We are in our 50's and had no problem walking down to the historic area, all around for a few hours and back. There is a sidewalk and we felt very safe.
In the morning we checked out and were able to leave our car so we could walk down again and have breakfast and explore the fort before heading home.
There are other hotels on that street that cost a lot more than this. I highly recommend this if you love to save $ and don't need the exterior of the building to be updated, love supporting local, and just need a place to sleep. We will most definitely stay here again if in the area. I didn't take pictures but those advertised are accurate.

This is a roadside motel in downtown St. Augustine and is within walking distance to most attractions in the historic district.

The staff were friendly and the hotel is older but it is clean.

It was very loud at night and we had a car alarm blaring at 3AM. Also be aware that there are some characters walking the streets nearby. We saw several people clearly under the influence and there was obscene language being shouted. This is on the main road and there are a lot of people around so we didn't feel our safety was in jeopardy but be aware that while the location is great during the day it can be loud at night.

The location is fantastic. However, it's an average, older hotel that can charge a lot for not much since everywhere else nearby is charging more. There were a lot of smokers hanging around outside and were fairly loud late into the evening. If you're on a budget and must stay in-town, it's an okay option. Otherwise, book something else a mile or so out of town for $100 less.

We booked this motel just a few days before arriving and we’re very pleased that we did. Our plans had been changed by Hurricane Ian and we couldn’t go to our timeshare so we had altered nights here as part of our rescheduled trip.

The accommodation was very clean, which was the most important thing to us. We were in a really good sized room with two queen sized beds. It isn’t a fancy place and I was a little worried that we had done the right thing, but we definitely had. It was great value for money.

The owner was really nice and incredibly welcoming. He gave us a map and recommended what we should see, which we followed. We’d never been to St Augustine before and were very glad we went. It’s a beautiful place, unlike anywhere else we have seen in the US.

The location was perfect, just a short walk into the centre of St Augustine.

We would definitely visit again.

Perfect location. Within walking distance of less than one half mile to downtown, fountain of youth, trolley, etc. Friendly staff. No frills, but very clean and everything you need. Would highly recommend!

On arrival the outside of the inn looked a bit dated, however the staff were very helpful and the room was large and very clean and had a fridge and microwave in the room and ice available. We had an issue with the TV, which was very quickly resolved. For the price and location, was well worth it.

Very clean! Room was very large, you could have put 2 king beds in the room. Bed was comfy and pillows were like being on a cloud. Having said that, the bathroom was tiny. But again CLEAN. Close to tour trolley and some attractions. We'll be back.

On our way up to Charleston we stopped into St. Augustine to check out the Nights of Lights and managed to snag the last room here! A parking spot and location walking distance to everything is baked right into the price! The room was clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and minifridge. The owners, who checked us in, were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
