Location isn’t the best as it’s between a few very run down motels. They charge $15 per night for parking yet the parking lot was full and we had to park on the street both nights. Rooms were clean. There’s signs in the room stating housekeeping is available upon request but then when we requested it we’re very rudely (and an eye roll included) that they don’t do housekeeping period.

Hotel's Favourite
One day stay with family during a quick stop and visit to historic downtown St. Augustine. The check in process was quick seamless and pleasant. Always enjoy stays at Doubletree. The spacious rooms were more than adequate and the bedding comfortable after a days worth of driving, walking and sightseeing.

Breakfast was amazing I know eggs and bacon etc. The scrambled eggs were not over cooked and had a great taste. Cooked to perfection. I don’t eat pork so the Sous Chef Wilfredo offered to cook me turkey bacon. He went over and beyond my expectations. Thank you! I also added his house made hot sauce over the eggs yummy! It was one of the best hot sauces I’ve ever had. They all come out of a bottle. Boring! But his sauce was amazing. Can’t wait to try his dinner.

Although the name says the hotel is in the historic district, this hotel is too far to walk to most sights in the historic area, but it is a very short drive away. Heated pool is kept very warm! It is a nice alternative to sightseeing. All staff seem eager to please: front desk, bar, pool area, restaurant. Did not encounter any cleaning staff and room was not cleaned due to COVID. Fee for parking and breakfast buffet is $15. Only reason I did not give 5 stars.

Pros: 1. The location is close to the old town of St. Augustine (about a mile away). This is good if you like to walk. The Old Jail, Fountain of Youth, and Catholic Shrine are very close (less than a mile) to the hotel. 2. The staff was very friendly and helpful. 3. They are offering a full breakfast buffet right now. You serve yourself cold items but hot items are served for you on a plate. Breakfast is $16.00 per person plus tax and gratuity. Gold and Diamond members get it free. Cons: 1. Rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny. The HVAC unit seemed very loud during my stay and is in need of a renovtation. You really cannot fit more than two in a room. 2. Parking is tight. Arrive early if you want a good spot. Parking is $15 per night, which was good value for St. Augustine. 3. The restaurant was closed for dinner during my stay but the bar was open. I think they should open it up now every night! 4. Check-out time is 11am. I asked for late check-out (because the ARPP rate mentions it) and they gave until noon.
