This was our first time at the Beach Club of St. Augustine on the ocean and loved it! The room with 1 bedroom was very large, 2 big closets, large counter in kitchen which was fully furnished, king size bed, good size living area and large balcony with 2 tables and 4 chairs. The view from the balcony on 2nd floor was of the hot tub, pool and the ocean in the distance. There were not many rooms booked and it was very quiet. Checkin was quick. We spent 3 days up in St. Augustine seeing the sights, took an almost 3 hr boat ride, walked St. George St., and a 3 hr Old Town Trolly ride. We ate at several restaurants in town and on A1A but we brought food so cooked our breakfasts and several dinners in the room. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. They give you coffee filters but no coffee so bring your own, also no shampoo or lotion so bring those too. There are laundry facilities in the resort but not in the room. They supply pool towels in the room which was nice, pool seemed heated and very nice as well as the hot tub. It seemed to be an older resort but was nicely decorated and very clean! We will definitely stay there again as an RCI exchange.

Two adults stayed here in January 2023 for one week and enjoyed ourselves. The facility is located directly on the beach in St Augustine Beach, a short drive south of St Augustine city. We had a one bedroom unit that was very clean and satisfied our needs with a king bed, one bath, two sinks and a smallish but full kitchen. Evidently the living room sofa folds out into a queen bed for two more people. We could not imagine having four adults in the unit as there would physically just not be enough room for comfortable living. The dining table initially is out of the way, folded against the wall, and could expand for four people, but it would be a stretch. There were two stools at the kitchen counter which we used to eat at. The resort has a large heated pool, a hot tub, shuffleboard, and a very large game room with Foosball, pool tables, ping pong and more. Parking was easy and close. The resort is showing some age and could definitely use some sprucing up, especially in the bathroom, which was very dated. The resort did not provide liquid dish detergent or any shampoo bottles. It did provide liquid hand soap for the kitchen. A big plus is walking access to the beach, just a few hundred yards away via a boardwalk and a huge expanse of sand. Cars are allowed on the beach here. This is a great beach for walking or riding a bike, as the sand is extremely hard packed. This time of year, driving north via A1A to St Augustine is a breeze, maybe 15 to 20 minutes to the fort. Same for driving south. Plenty of restaurants in the area. A really nice place to visit. Would consider returning in the future. As an FYI, not sure why, but smoking is allowed on unit porches (but, at least, not inside); thankfully, the unit we were in had no smoke smell.

We loved this resort. We had a one-bedroom unit which was very roomy and a nice layout. The unit was well equipped and had plenty of closet/storage space. The kitchen was fairly modern with granite counters and updated appliances all top of the line. It was well equipped with plenty of dishes, etc. Furniture was all in good condition. Nice balcony overlooking the pool to catch the ocean breezes. The bathrooms could use an update and I thought the floor could have used a good scrub but, in general, the unit was very clean. There is beach access from the well maintained pool area and also from the access road that runs right next to the resort. The pool is 41/2 feet at the shallow end so little ones will need their swimmies. Plenty of pool chairs and umbrellas. This is a great choice especially for families with kids.

The Beach Club at St Augustine has a wonderful location on the beach and is conveniently located on the island with close proximity to Publix and lots of parks. Shout out to the Publix just around the block, which takes great precautions to sanitize the carts and requires mask wearing of all of the employees and patrons- very clean and well managed store! We stayed at The Beach Club for two weeks and since we are (obviously) in a pandemic we isolated in our unit or spent time outdoors. We brought bicycles and rode on the beach during low tide. The staff was friendly but the maintenance staff did not wear masks and used the elevator. The unit we stayed in had a partial view of the beach. The unit was tidy But not as sparkling clean as I would have expected. I brought some cleaning supplies with me (because I am a clean freak). The furniture was functional but outdated and tired in appearance. The sofa in the living room is the old rattan Florida style with springy cushions. The Formica coffee tables were worn and chipped. The bedroom’s wallpaper was peeling off of the walls. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was run down- from the chips on the white wooden toilet seat to the orange mold around the base of the shower curtain. There were two wall mounted televisions- one in the living room and one in the bedroom. It would have been nice if these were smart televisions so that we could connect to our streaming services because staying in at night was the only option for us due to the pandemic. We resorted to watching movies on our iPad. Overall, the appearance of this resort seemed neglected, including the landscaping. The location of this resort was the highlight.

Beware if you want to go to the pool bring your own chair. Most days we went at lunch time trying to snag two chairs and did, but if you think you are going at 9 when the pool opens then bring your own chair! I know this resort is popular with many families that return each year and that's great but someone from their group will go down and put towels in every chair before the pool even opens and they will stay there and make sure you don't move them. Even after being at the pool for over 1 1/2 hours no one ever came and sat in the towel saved chairs and the guy working on the pool never did anything about it. I saw several people come down to swim and when they couldn't find a place to put their stuff they left The resort handbook says no saving chairs but that is overlooked by the resort goers and resort.

Also I asked for a room with a view but we were placed on the back of the building on the second floor. When we arrived our paper work said room 400 which would've had a view over the dunes but we were given room 200. The lady at the desk marked through the form we had to sign as someone had signed it before us and I guess maybe they complained and were moved to room 400 instead. Dont know that for sure but it seemed that way. All in all we made it work but were disappointed in the way the pool situation was. The unit was nice and the bed was very comfortable.

This is a smaller resort with limited amenities but what they have is in very good condition. The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Other furniture and room furnishings seemed to be new or in very good condition. The outdoor temperatures were chilly (45 - 55 F.) but the hot tub was very hot and the swimming pool was comfortable. It's located right on the beach which is huge, clean and flat so we enjoyed many long walks. They don't have many activities or other recreational things to do but we weren't looking for that so overall we really liked this resort. It was the very quiet off-season so it may be different at other times.

We had a 2nd floor one bedroom with a view of the dunes that was stunning. For a couple this unit was perfect as we never had to use the folding dining table. If you had more people and needed to use the table opened, the unit might be a little tight. Although some have mentioned older furnishings, we found them to be in good condition and clean. Others have mentioned a mildew smell: we only experienced this quickly in one small section of hallway, not at all pervasive and sometimes common in humid locations. We found the location very quiet and restful, although guests were restricted because of COVID so this may be different at other peak or non COVID times. Close to St Augustine, we stay here again.

Hi Travelingaunt59 and thank you for sharing your Beach Club experience! Although the first floor units have convenience, all of the upper floor units have a beautiful view and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed yours. Even in ordinary times, this time of year tends to draw a little quieter, more relaxed vacationer to our resort. We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you again soon!

Having a beach front resort was ideal, although we had no control over the location of our unit. We were on the second floor so had a partial view of the ocean over the dunes and a great balcony.. Those on the first floor would have only a swimming pool view. The resort was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, but bring your own supplies (dish soap, dish detergent and toiletries). No starter kits were provided.

We took a quick getaway pre holiday to the beach club and had a great stay. This is older resort, but it is well loved and it has the best ocean front views of any RCI exchange property in St. Augustine. We have stayed at all of them as we love this gorgeous beach. And for families it gets no better then being able to drive onto the beach so all the snacks and extra stuff can easily stay in the car just feet away from you.

Great staff and a big pool that allowed for us to enjoy early afternoon swims even in November when the sun was out.
We will be back.

Hi ThatManCraig and thank you for sharing your experience at The Beach Club. We do have a beautiful beach and are lucky to have such a large pool that we keep heated in the cooler months. Nothing like a quick dip in the warm water after a relaxing walk on the beach in Fall. We look forward to your next visit!

We live in the area but stay at The Beach Club every October. The ocean temperature is still very comfortable and the daily temperature is still in the 70-80 range or warmer. Covid 19 restricts the use of some of the facilities but the pool and fitness is available . Restaurants in the area are open with both inside and outside dining. Stores are open with mask and spacing requirements. Most attractions are open so that most inconvenience of a week at the beach is caused by the Covid requirement when inside or close groups. Contact with staff is limited but we received all the service we required. Check in was quick, less that 3 minutes if you provide data ahead of arrival.
