We are staying in A35 for the month. Ten months prior we had reserved a different unit but it was reassigned twice by the management. We were told by management that our unit would be available at 9 a.m. on December 1st. We arrived at 9:20 but there was no key as promised. We left a message but never got a return call. We were finally able to get in later in the afternoon. I understand check in is after 4, but, again we were told “anytime after 9 a.m.” Other things that were discouraging are: cracked plug on bedside clock radio, bathroom sink drains very slow, candy, ink pen, broken toy and tons of dust behind sofa, balcony light out, bathtub had soap scum buildup (I scrubbed before using it), smelly mildewed towel left in washer, toaster won’t stay down (sparks when trying to use). There was one day where we had no water and was told it would take 15 minutes to fix..... 9 hours later:(. I suppose I could call the office but it seems they are too busy to return calls. The cleaning service this company uses is questionable!…
Here is a list of events that have occurred in the last 3 days during my stay: August 3- Condo has a nice pool view, but had an odor, no trash bags, and the kitchen as well as both bathrooms were not clean. I found cleaning supplies, and cleaned the condo myself. August 4- Went to the beach. Had a great time. Got back to my car, and I had a notice that I didn’t have my yellow parking ticket in my car. It was in fact, in my car and visible. Go down to the pool where music was playing. Loved it. Jumped in the pool and sat my drank off to the side. I was told by staff that I was not able to have my beverage in that particular spot, but I could call her and she could come over and get it for me, for me to drink (which I thought was super nice!) So, I didn’t say anything else and thanked her for being so kind. August 5- Go down to the pool again, clear about the rules after speaking to the staff the day prior. I had a guest with me. The staff comes to us (different woman) and states that we cannot have music (the day before it played all day,) and we could not have our handed drinks to us if we are in the pool. I mentioned to her what the staff told me the day before, and this particular staff personnel said “That’s fine.” Again, misinformed from the previous day. About ten minutes later the site manager came to the pool. She was very aggressive and assertive when coming over. Told us we could not have our music on or someone hand us our drinks at all. I proceeded to ask her for some clarification on things since I was apparently misinformed. She asked me why I wanted to argue. I told her I did not want to argue, rather talk about the rules so I would know, to be able to enjoy the rest of my stay. The site manager then proceeded to tell me the music rule is mainly due to “diversity in music.” So, I asked about the pool aerobics in the pool which I have watched every morning since my stay here. They had music, and I absolutely enjoyed the group of women empowering each other while listening to upbeat music. The manager told me that they make exceptions for the owners, not the renters, and I should just call to receive a refund. Folks, I could care less about the music. It is the simple fact that I was misinformed, and myself as well as my guests were spoken to in a very unfriendly manner. I was embarrassed, and I have NEVER had someone speak to me in that tone while on vacation. Ps- NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE POOL EXCEPT FOR MY PARTY during this time.…
This condo is in an excellent location within the OVC and situated in a secure gated community directly off A1A. We recently stayed 4 nights and couldn't say enough good things about the staff and cleaniness of the unit. The owners just recently updated the kitchen with a stainless steel fridge and upgraded the living area with a new comfortable sleeper sofa. R26 is located in on the second floor nearby the elevator in the newest building with a lovely ocean view. We felt home immediately when we entered the front door and are in the process of booking our next visit since this unit is in high demand due value pricing by the owner. A pleasant owner called us the second day we were there and asked about how our stay was going, the check in process and the condition of the unit. We will defiantly recommend this jewel to our friends and family.…
We love the location of this property. It's further down the beach and a lot quieter than other areas, yet still walking distance to the local grocery stores and several restaurants. The unit we rented was adequate but needs some maintenance and updating. There was a dehumidifier in the bedroom that ran constantly and required daily emptying. THAT was annoying to deal with. The towels were very rough and scratchy and the bed linens well worn and also scratchy. I'll bring my own next time. We were on the second level and the sliding doors to the balcony did not slide well. The tracks were very corroded. We couldn't even open the bedroom balcony door. After paying the rate we did for a week here we were not pleased that we had to buy paper towels, toilet paper and soaps. They do provide a small hotel sized bar of soap and there was toilet paper in the BR but you need to bring or buy extra. They also leave you one dishwasher pod. So you need to buy those or buy dish soap and hand wash the dishes. I didn't dare use the washer and dryer. I turned the dryer on once to dry some damp towels and it made so much noise I was worried it would break and I would be charged for the repair. The dining room chairs had visible dirt and grime on the upholstery. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were hard to open and very worn. I noticed that if I went barefooted in the unit my feet got dirty from the carpet. The doorframes and around the door knobs were grimy. You need to bring your own beach chairs and stuff but you are not allowed to leave them under the stairs. We wound up keeping them in our car. It's a condo, there are a lot of rules. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay but be aware that it's a crap-shoot. The units are all privately owned so you don't know exactly what you are getting and it's not the fault of Coastal Realty. They just manage the reservations. It's up to the owners to maintain their units and provide a quality accommodation.…
The condo was just okay, our biggest complaint was that we booked thorough V Trips and it was a nightmare experience. The tv and wifi did not work the whole six days we were there. Our security codes did not work either because it's all on the same system. They kept asking us to be at the condo for AT&T to come and fix the problem and we would wait and then no one show up. It took 45 mins just to get inside the condo the first night we arrived because the code we were given did not work. Then we could not leave for dinner because we could not lock the door until someone came to fix the code system! They would not compensate us for our inconvience. We were there for my father n law's funeral which we did not need to deal with issues with the condo at a time like that!!! I would not recommend this condo or V Trips to anyone!!! The best part of being there were the people that stayed there being kind to us and hated what we were dealing with. We left a day early we were ready to be out of there. I contacted V Trips again after returing home, they really did not care. If you rent here do not use V Trips!!! I wish the owners of the condo had at least cared.…
