The Edgewater Inn is an excellent value; free parking and the best breakfast ever saved us at least $50 a day.
We totally enjoyed ourselves at the Edgewater. Yummy breakfast and unbeatable views of the water. You really can spy dolphins from your room. We also enjoyed lots of the businesses a few blocks away on Anastasia...
The rooms here are either new or redecorated because our room was spotless, with comfortable beds, new 55" television, free WIFI and breakfast.
The hotel is fairly close to The Fountain of Youth (which has free parking), as well as, the fort Castillo de San Marcos & the many stores on St George street (municipal parking is $15).
There is more than adequate FREE car parking, (rare in St Augustine), right at the door of your room (its an old style Motel type place with separate entrances to each room and parking at the door of each one.
Our beds were comfy. The plumbing was fine. The shower head gave enough water. Dresser, closet and desk were functional and clean. The towels were good quality. We were close to where we wanted to go and often...

This villa has a great lay out. In unit laundry. Lots of seating for dinners and relaxing on couches. Dishes were really nice and the kitchen was well equipped. Carpet was in pretty good condition considering dogs are allowed. Has a birdcage. It is a very short walk to the beach. Right across from 2 good bars. Close to grocery stores and a drugstore. Short drive to Old Town. Close to the Outlet Malls and the World Golf Hall of Fame. But.... Needs a painting. Cabinets are old. Faucets are corroded and one set, bent out of shape. Microwave inside was rusted out as was the dishwasher. Disgusting. 5 hangars per closet! TV in the living room losing its colour. TV in one bedroom was old styled. Couches are old and uncomfortable. Doors did not fit properly and I watched a gecko get into the one bedroom. If some TLC was put into this unit, would be a great place for a week.…
