We arranged to have a spot reserved for our RV. We gave the front desk the length of our RV and we told her that we were new at pulling it and parking it. We were given a spot and a map of the park. My husband tried several times and from several different approaches and we finally had to give up. They were very nice and they refunded our money. This place has tiny crowded spaces in between permanent looking residences, the streets are narrow and the trees are overgrown making it likely that you’ll damage your trailer or someone’s tree or decorations or their vehicle(s) or porches trying to park or just driving through the park. They have lots of rules and in the little time that we were there we could see that the majority of their rules were being broken as we drove to our site and then back out as we left to find another RV accommodating campground. This place would be better off catering to long term/residential campers and not tourists and would be much better if they trimmed the trees, removed the decorations that are along the roadway and hanging out to catch on your vehicle and made sure that cars are parked off the edge of the spaces and that car maintenance is not being performed at the campsites. If they took out a few spaces and opened it up some to be more inviting and not look like an overgrown and poorly maintained trailer park the $99 that we were going to pay had we been able to park would’ve been more appropriate.

We enjoyed our stay here. Park was kept up and the staff was helpful.

The only thing I would mention is that the pool is NOT just for residents of the park. Ebb Tide (poolside restaurant) patrons are allowed to use the pool essentially making it open to the public. The sign says this is strictly enforced. We never saw this strictly enforced and there were a few times that it was very crowded. It was quite obvious people came there to swim without ordering anything from the restaurant. This was a negative for us when trying to enjoy time with the grandkids and the pool was overcrowded. I think they charge $5 per person for use of the pool. Maybe that makes them a patron. Just wanted all to know the pool is ‘public’ to a certain extent.
When I researched this place I didn’t find anywhere that this was made clear.

We go to St Augustine a lot and had heard good things about Ocean Grove so decided to try it. First off this isn't really a "beach" rv park. Ypu have to cross a very busy highway then walk about 20 minutes in no shade. So suggest you have a bike. (Golf cart isn't allowed to the beach) there is 4x4 parking at the beach that is 20 dollars a day otherwise there is no parking. The pool is small and opened to the public not just the campground so is extremely busy. The only plus at the pool is a very nice and friendly bar/food place by the pool. A lot of the sites are wooded and level...we stayed at a backin paved site electric was ok but no wifi to speak of. Sites are close together but we've seen worse at beach rv parks. The park is gated but instead of a punch key etc they give you bar code on paper..so if it's raining it gets wet and no longer works. We had to keep replacing ours. Laundry room looked nice, we didn't use. Just wasn't many amenities for over 100 dollars a night..

We stayed for a month in one of their pet friendly rentals. To start with, finding a place that allows two dogs is a feat in itself. The rental was dated but honestly, this meant less stress for us in terms of worrying about the dogs. We had everything we needed. The roads in the park are paved and staff were out daily doing maintenance on the grounds. The entire park was very dog friendly. The only annoying thing was the pet owners who walked their dogs on extendable leashes, which were not supposed to be permitted. The pool was shut down for a couple of weeks but this didn’t really impact us because we walked to the beach everyday. We loved our stay and booked for next year before we even left!
This was our first time in this area of Florida (we usually stay on the Gulf Coast) but this will be our go-to destination from now on.

I heard this place used to be fun but beware, things have changed!! SO. MANY. RULES. If you are caught within 6 feet of the pool with a drink (the very one you just bought from them), this woman comes off her perch and gives you a solid scolding even though they literally sell the drinks at the pool. There is no "stay behind this line" sign either. You just have to know how far back to stay. Second, this same woman fussed at me again, because she once saw my son and other kids down at the pond….even though there is a walkway to the pond and feeding machines to feed the turtles, apparently this was a problem. Does she tell me when it happened? Nope. She waited until they were back in the pool to tell me that it was a safety issue. I get it. Your place, your rules but if you don't want people drinking by the pool then don't sell your drinks by the pool. And if you don't want kids by the pond, take up the walkway and put up a fence. And if this is truly a safety issue, tell me right then. Not after the fact. These rules are so ridiculous, they are impossible to follow. Not to mention, people are on vacation and don't want to be nagged constantly because they were "too close" to the pool with their drink. We left the pool that day because she stressed me out to the point of tears. We were the third family to leave that day because of her. The pics look great online- and it is nice and clean but sadly not the fun place it used to be.

Hi there. Thanks for the detailed review of your stay at our park. As much as we strive to give a fun experience to our guests, our team at Ocean Grove RV Resort also takes safety seriously. So, we take measures to implement our rules, such as posting them in the pool and pond area, which can also be found on the packet upon check-in. Thank you for understanding, and we hope you will give us another chance to provide you with a better stay. Until then, safe travels!

Just left after a few days here. It was very level and all campsites had a charcoal grill. I enjoyed the pool very much. My 3 year old grandson enjoyed it for the zero entry, fountains and waterfall. There was adequate seating there even on a holiday weekend. It’s not far from the beach. They also have golf carts to rent that makes wherever your site is very accessible to all amenities.

Ebb Tide Poolside Bar and Grill is a great place to drink a few cold beers and have finger foods. Patrick, Destiny and Ron are great. The park is very clean. The internet is nonexistent. The pool is kept at a constant 85° and the hot tub is and added benefit. There’s also a kiddie pool for the little ones.

They have a boat ramp to the intracoastal waterway (small boats); a pool; tons of pull-thrus; a bar and grill at the pool; and they’re about a half mile from the beach.

There is a beautiful laundry room, a great deck at the boat ramp for watching sunsets, and the grounds are kept perfectly. We visit about once a month; they always have space.

We love to stay here because the resort allows tent camping. Camp site is always clean and free of debris. The bathhouse is always clean. The water pressure is strong and the water gets hot and stays hot. The pool gets crowded and kids are very much unsupervised. This could be monitored better but is ultimately up to the parent’s not the resort. The food and drinks at the restaurant are great! The fishing pier is usually not crowded and everyone had a great time fishing.
I can’t wait to stay here again! We have been here twice now.

We were there for Memorial Day weekend and the hot tub was working great. In fact the whole pool and pool are has recently undergone a complete upgrade. The Wife and I thought it was very nice. My only minor complaint about Ocean Grove RV Resort is that the sites are quite tight. But other than that we had no other complaints.
