An attractive, well-maintained hotel and a rarity in St. Augustine Beach. where private residences and large condo complexes dominate. However, this hotel has its own beautifully-landscaped, private walk between two properties to its own beach section! Yes it's a long walk (about 600 yds.) but that's just the way the entire beach is due to building codes, not the hotel's issue alone.

There are 3 sections to the hotel, and 2 of them have beach-facing rooms from the 2nd floor. But to me that's a minor issue, since you're still a ways from the beach. The access more than makes up for this. And no hotel on the beach strip has better access.

Grounds are immaculate, with a big, clean, clear pool and nice, clean rooms (we had the room next to someone on here who complained of odor and "structural concerns" (sloping) and we had nothing of the sort). Our room was small (old-style) but no noticeable wear/tear. I really liked the room-service style breakfast. Food was hot and delicious and a nice touch. Management was nice, polite, and helpful - no qualms there. And they staff it 24/7.

I'll definitely stay at La Fiesta again, we loved its attractiveness, top-notch condition, and especially that pretty walkway to access the hotel-guests-only beach. You can't beat that anywhere in St. Augustine Beach. Based on our stay, it's a strong recommendation for anyone wishing to take advantage of (in my opinion) the best beach and waves in all of Florida.

The La Fiesta Ocean Inn & Suites is THE BEST possible place to stay while you are visiting this city. You will not another place with rates this good and quality this fantastic. It center for ll of the events that take place there. It is centrally located about midway in the town too from one end to the other so that makes it easy to walk the town halfway one way and then rest some and then go back out as location is walking distance right down to the beach and easy driving distance to the historic district of the Old City. Good restaurants all around you while staying at the La Fiesta too so dining is a cinch.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable with good beds that provide great sleep after fun days (and nights) enjoying all of the things to do in St. Augustine. The water pressure is excellent and the water is hot for showers/baths.

We had very good wi-fi connectivity and great choices on the TV stations that were offered. The pool is huge and marvelous with patio furniture a-plenty. And the grounds are landscaped so beautifully with flowers and even a waterfall and a lovely pathway that leads to the boardwalk that takes you right down to the ocean!!! Just beautiful!

The staff is so helpful and friendly and treats the guests almost like they are family members while they are staying at the motel. They go above and beyond to be certain that everyone has everything they need for have a wonderful, joyful time.

Each morning a nice breakfast is delivered to your room including items that you pre-select from a check off menu the evening before. There are delicious choices like the wonderful scones, muffins, sausage biscuits, yogurts, fruit juices and of course hot coffee.

Oh and the lovely Fiesta Falls Mini Golf is right next door and this is such a fun activity to do. At night is is especially lovely when all of the lights are turned on. There are waterfalls and fun holes to play. A great thing to do together whether it is a family or a couple.

So...
Great Location; Great Staff; Great Rates; Great Breakfast...all add up to the perfect place to stay for your St. Augustine BEACH (and Old City) vacation. It just can't be beat. Can hardly wait to go back for our next visit at the La Fiesta Inn & Suites.

A nice property with -extreamly- friendly employees. Rooms are a bit warn and dated but clean. Most either face the parking lot and pool area or a garden area that has a water feature. The room my wife and I stayed in (11) was on the 1st floor (handicap accessible "suite"). Featred tile floors a new flat screen TV, DVD, player, comfotable king bed, sofa, mini fride and microwave hot beverage maker). The bathroom had a large accessible shower (nice for washing off all the beach sand). Pool area was nice but the star attraction is the beach. The property is tucked away behind 2 houses however, their is a private walkway to the ocean. The beach is 4x4 accessible ($10) the entrance is about 3 blocks away. Sand and views are amazing when you are on the beach. Sadly most rooms do not have a view of it. If you are traveling with children there is mini golf/icecream next door and other resturants are a short walk away. Complimentary breakfast (juice, scones, bagels, egg sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich) served via room service (choices depend on room level). This property is amazing and affordable for a short getaway.

We chose this Inn as we stayed there over New Year’s Eve and planned on going to the beach blast off were you can walk to from the Inn which was very nice.
The Inn is right by the beach which is very nice. It has a pool, enough parking spaces and a reception at the front with staff that were always very welcoming and friendly.
There is also a pool which is however covered and there is a sign that says that they are happy to uncover whenever one wants to swim but I feel this is a little of an extra hassle to be honest.
Also there is an additional resort fee which has to be paid on arrival.
The room itself was nicely decorated. However compared to the size of the room the bathroom was quite small but still done very nicely.
The only real issue I had with the room was that the rooms seem to be very damp. This is probably the reason why the rooms smell musty. There was no reason to ask for a change of rooms as one could see that all the windows were basically wet in the morning.
Others might not be too fuzzy about this but I do have a problem with that as it had an impact on my sleep and breathing and do know out of experience how dampness can lead very easily to mouldiness. Therefore I pretty much had my door and little window open whenever I was in the room. This helped a little and was okay for me but is not ideal as there is no privacy.
Breakfast is served to the rooms and from my point of view fine for an Inn. Be aware that you are only allowed either milk, apple or orange juice and two main items choosing from a bagel, yoghurt, canned fruit, a sausage muffin, a scone or a hard boiled egg and as many spreads as you which. I’d preferred three main items and would have had no problem to restrict the amount of spreads but this is just a personal preference. Coffee has to be made yourself in the rooms.
A really nice thing was that the st augustine trolley has a stop right outside of the Inn - Tickets can be purchased at the reception. This means one can enjoy the beach and has still the option to visit at augustine without the hassle of parking.
Despite the dampness we still had a nice time with the amazing scenery right outside the door - thank you!

We paid almost $70 more for an ocean front room. However, the ocean was a good distance away so I would barely call it ocean front. They give you a card when you check in to order breakfast to be delivered to your room. While it was a cool idea and the food was good, they delivered a plain bagel in place of the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit we ordered. The real frustration was that we couldn’t get the room cooled down. My husband went to the office with the remote and the person working took out the batteries and put them back in. He said it would now work but would take awhile to cool down. We were hot all night and it was uncomfortable. I mentioned it at check out and was told I should have reported it last night. I told her we did and what transpired. She replied that they had 24 hour maintenance and we should have told them. I told her that when we told the front desk that we considered it reported. There was no apology and no offer of a discount.
On the good side, the room was spacious and clean. The location was convenient with adequate parking.

Being an avid traveler and timeshare owner, I feel the need to post a review. So I booked the La Fiesta Ocean Inn & Suites in May via telephone for my stay in June to visit my best friend that lives local. They charge you more when you call for a reservation, rather than booking online. They also charge a resort fee which I never figured out what that was for. The property is very well kept with hibiscus and other tropical bushes and a private walkway to the beach. Very beautiful!!!

Let me start off with the staff there. The staff that I met does not appear happy and welcoming.

The rooms are nice but could use some updating.
On the plus side they had good water pressure for showers. Some issues I had with my room were: (1) It was difficult closing the refrigerator door, (2) the walls are very thin and I could hear the people in other rooms around me when I was trying to sleep, (3) the owners of this hotel have a miniature golf next to the hotel and there was a bright spotlight on the railing which shined directly through the window shade into my room perfectly hitting me in the eyes when I was trying to sleep, (4) the television barely worked my first 2 days but after the maintenance guy came and checked it out, it worked after that, (5) they do not offer housekeeping, which I was never told when I reserved the room. Lastly, be careful exiting the room as you need to step up and step down. My friend had a hard fall exiting my room because of this setup.

They have a delivered breakfast to your room where you choose a half hour time slot for delivery, which gives you a choice of (2) items including a bagel, muffin, hard boiled egg, yogurt or cereal with (1) choice of a 4 oz juice and a big list of condiments (butter, cream cheese, creamer, etc). The staff will knock and hand you a basket of what you order. Gratuity is appreciated.

The pool looked nice but I didn’t use it as it was thunderstorms all week.

The rooms range from $79 to $159, depending on the night during Jan-Feb, which is reasonable. And all of the rooms are within a 100-yard boardwalk to the beautiful prime Atlantic ocean. They are branding themselves as a B&B and in some ways are. Many of the rooms and pool have been updated. Some travelers will turn up their noses at the "breakfast" delivered to their room since it lacks healthier options such as skim milk, low sugar, and low-fat options. But La Fiesta is within a block or two of probably 20 businesses! Pro Tip: The coffee maker in the room will produce better coffee than at the main desk, or you can walk across A1A and get a fine cup at Kukaburo.

We stayed 3 nights at La Fiesta and would definitely go back! The rooms look like a beach motel - tile floors, small bathroom, nothing fancy, but the beds are very comfortable and you have everything you need. However, the breakfast delivered to our room every day made it feel like a first class resort. As advertised, it was a light breakfast but plenty for both my husband and me. The fresh baked scones are delicious!!!!! You can order some to bring home but I was afraid to because I knew I'd eat every, single one! The landscaping around the property shows that the owners really care and the staff is personable, professional and friendly. We had no problems and can't wait for an excuse to return.

From check-in to check-out everything was amazing. We were looking for a place to stay day of because we were moving from Guy Harvey due to the lack of any sort of service at all. The place was terrible starting from the lady in the front to the room service and nobody going in to change the towels or making the beds, to us letting them know we were checking out and cancelling our reservation. Anyways, we drove a little ahead and stopped at La Fiesta and right away Kim helped us get a reservation with them for the following day and for a cheaper price than Guy Harvey. She was super helpful and the sweetest manager ever. The room service was amazing and everything was clean all the time with towels getting changed everyday. Breakfast sent to your room is an amazing idea and the fact that it's a few steps away from the beach is even more great! We are definitely coming back to this amazing place. The last day, the owner even came up to my parents and asked how our stay was! Like goodness.. I've never seen an owner of any hotel do that. That is amazing! Definitely recommending this place to everyone we know!!!

Stayed for two night with girlfriends for a birthday getaway. Staff were excellent! Very helpful and friendly, even had a birthday card waiting in the room for her. We rented room 102. Smallish room with two queen beds, a table with chairs, microwave, fridge and small coffee maker. They offer a complimentary breakfast, you choose from a small selection and they bring it to the room. We enjoyed our morning snacks. Small bathroom was a drawback (with 3 women).
My only complaints are, scratchy sheets and light in the room at night. The sheets are truly awful and the pillows tiny and flat. The light issue consisted of a small window near the kitchenette, there were blinds but no curtain. Unfortunately there are streetlights at the neighboring business that shine directly into this little window, completely illuminating the room. We put black trash bags over it and greatly improved our second nights stay.
The price and staff would make it worth staying again. I would just bring sheets, pillows and thick black trash bags!
