The Best Western Seaside Inn garners praise for its sparkling clean rooms, complete with modern comforts and big TVs, offering a restful ambiance that's been recently refreshed. While a few guests note maintenance and noise concerns, the overall sentiment is positive, especially regarding the attentive and friendly staff. Its prime beachside location is popular among guests, as are the varied amenities that cater to both families and pet owners. Some travelers, however, debate the value proposition considering occasional minor issues.

My 6 y/o daughter had a bike accident right out front, and we stopped in to see if they had a bandaid. Hannah was working the front desk and was the kindest person I may have ever met! She came to the rescue with bandaids and went out of her way to make my daughter feel so much better. If the rest of the staff is anything like Hannah, you'll be in good hands! We will be recommending Best Western to all of our friends and family.

We stayed in two rooms for three nights. The outside of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are very small but look to have been renovated within the past few years. The bathroom has a sliding door (which I do not like) and was constantly getting stuck and required alot of surface contact. All rooms open to the outside so that made this feel more like a motel. Breakfast is currently "grab and go" which is a brown bag with fruit, a muffin, a nutrigrain and a water. I thought that was very nice of them to supply that since a traditional breakfast isn't feasible due to Covid. They are also only offering housekeeping upon request so you have to put your towels and trash out and go to the desk any time you need replenishment. I found that every single front desk person was welcoming and friendly and did not seem irritated by my many requests for towels. The hotel is one block from the beach - - a crosswalk is right in front so there was no problem crossing A1A. The pool was usually crowded but it was well kept. Overall this was a good value for proximity to the beach and a 5 mile drive from historic St. Augustine. All staff encountered were very friendly and polite.

My husband and I stayed here the last week in January and first week in March. Each rooms we stayed in was IMMACULATE!
We have stayed in many hotels while traveling and this is the ONLY ONE that sanitizes the TV remote clicker and has it in a sterile pouch when u arrive. Impressive.
A shout out to the breakfast area attendant who sterilizes the breakfast tables after guests. He has a charming personality and is of Ukrainian descent (sorry memory for names is bad😳😳). Front desk personnel also excellent and polite.
We will DEFINITEY be returning next year!

My family and I visited St Augustine and Best Western was priced comparable to most hotels. However we were shocked at the noise levels well over the closing time of the pool that was just outside our window. Well after 11:30pm the pool was occupied. We awoke to a paper bag breakfast which during Covid we were understood why but the breakfast was a joke! I got water, apple and muffin. When you charge for a room and say free breakfast and not even a bagel or hot breakfast sandwich... it was sad to have to go to Starbucks after paying for a priced room that could have made more effort. Our other family members were staying just across the way and they go a hot meal. Not worth our money and happy we were super tired from seeing your beautiful town but will not be trying a BW anytime soon.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review in regards to your recent stay with us. We do apologize for the lack of hot breakfast but due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have a strict set of guidelines to adhere to. We have adjusted room rates to reflect the lack of breakfast and apologize for the inconvenience. We will address the pool noise with our team as we do lock the pool gates at 10pm so as not to disturb other guests' and regret this was not the case during your stay. We do hope you will provide us with another opportunity to make it up to you however understand that your experience was not what you were hoping it to be.

We stayed in three hotels during this vacation and this hotel was our least favorite.
Check-in was easy. The front desk staff are nice. This hotel is in a great location if the beach is your focus. The rooms are marginal.
Our room was not very clean. There was sand and hair in the bathroom from prior occupants. The air conditioner is hard to regulate,; making the room warm or ice cold most of the time.
Due to COVID, the hotel does not have daily maid service. The rooms have no towel racks or hooks, so daily towel exchange is necessary.
Bring a beach location, I would have expected this hotel to have hooks in the shower or some way to dry swimsuits- they do not.

My family and I booked 2 rooms at this hotel. Kudos to all the staff, especially Jody at the front desk. We were pleased with the size of the pool and the short walk across A1A (in a well-marked crosswalk) to the beach. The hotel provided towels for the beach and pool. The hotel can't serve a hot breakfast during the coronavirus, but they provided a grab-n-go bagged breakfast of water, muffin, fruit, and a Nutrigrain bar. Those items plus milk, cereal, and sandwich fixings from the nearby Publix let us splurge on several nice dinners out. Hotel is very close to historical district and is a stop for the one of the tourist trains (altho the timing didn't work for us this trip). About 20 minutes north of Marineland and the great kayaking company they partner with.

We stayed in a single king room. The room was clean and everything worked. The room was not big enough for the king bed and the furniture in my opinion. It was hard to pass each other in the aisles. The online photography will not portray how cramped the room is. The location is great for beach access. The available restaurant choices close early in the off season. I thought the value for price was off due to Covid restrictions limiting the services of the hotel. If you desire a hot breakfast or any choice for your morning meal, you will have to drive to McDonalds.

Great room except...........construction started at 8:00 at night. under our room. Sheetrock was being installed in hotel laundry and they couldn't do it during the day because then needed to do laundry so they did it at night. Lots of hammering and screw-gun noise. Then came the sanding dust and we had trouble breathing. We reported this at checkout but front desk person wasn't really interested and did absolutely nothing.
At reservation or check-in we were not told about night construction.

The promised gluten free breakfast bagels and bread were a fantasy.

Tile in bathroom and shower floor was very slippery. Dangerous when wet. No grab-bar in shower or tub.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a candid review of your stay with us here at St. Augustine Beach. We can certainly understand your frustrations in regards to the off season construction which occurred during your stay. We did attempt to get you away from the dust and debris by upgrading you to our King Suite however regret that it was more of any inconvenience to you being above the noise. We have reached out to our food providers- as promised- in regards to a more expansive gluten free menu. Currently our offerings include cheerios, fresh fruit and fruit cocktail as well as redskin potatoes and cheese omelettes- which was discussed. We can understand how this would be disappointing for someone with dietary restrictions and for that truly apologize. Thank you for voicing your concerns to the slippery shower floor- we do provide non-slip mats in all of our guest rooms to ensure everyone's safety. We appreciate your loyalty as a Best Western Rewards member and regret that we fell short of your expectations. Enjoy your travels wherever they may take you.

We could not be happier with this motel! We initially chose it because it has a couple of suites with full kitchens and we wanted something fully equipped (and dog friendly) for a few days en route to an Airbnb. But when we called with a couple of questions, Virginia was so helpful and friendly that we decided to forego the Airbnb and book there the whole time. We made the right decision! The suite is modern, roomy, and easily as nice as any Airbnb condo... but cheaper and with free breakfasts and housekeeping. There are only two suites, both with the same square footage, one with one bedroom and one with two. We picked the one bedroom one, room 303. In lieu of the second bedroom we got a nice eat in kitchen, a huge living room, and even a balcony with lounge chairs and a small dining table. The room is an absolute bargain; if it's available you should snatch it up. (A quick glance at one of the standard rooms indicated that they are probably of similar quality but of course much smaller.) The location is a block from the beach, a short walk to numerous restaurants and bars, a 5-minute drive to a Publix supermarket, and 15 minutes from historic St Augustine. The free breakfast is on the upper end of what you might expect from a Hampton Inn or Best Western level property, which is to say not gourmet but more than just a continental breakfast. And Virginia and the staff were great. I am not one to post gushing reviews, and don't hesitate to post negative ones when warranted, but this Best Western simply does everything right. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful place. We were on the second floor in a suite that they upgraded us to. We had to go up outside stairways to get to second floor and then a few steps up to the suite. The second floor on this hotel would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. However, for those who have no mobility issues, it is a delightful place. There are nice restaurants close by. We walked about 4 blocks to a fish restaurant (recommended by the reception desk). Were happy that we didn't have to get back in our car to go to dinner or have to walk across the street. Would stay there again.
