We were booked to stay in the cambria at maderia Beach, but I got a call from Expedia 2 days prior to our holiday to say they wouldn't honour the booking. No explanation was given. We were offered the holiday inn express and I'm so glad we accepted. We enjoyed every second of our stay. From the minute we were warmly greeted at reception by silas and Robert it felt right. I had an accessible room and it was perfect. The hotel is perfect for anyone with mobility issues. Even the pool has walk in steps. The complementary breakfast was more than adequate and hot drinks are available all day plus the room has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel is a little out of the way, but the shuttle bus runs every hour until 9pm, they will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius and collect you. Also it has a back lift and can take a wheelchair or mobility scooter so you can get around easily. The car park is shared with a huge walmart and there are a few places to eat within a short distance. The most special part of the hotel is the staff, manager lizzy, I think was her name who found a scooter hire shop for me. Silas, Robert, Emily,Dee, kevin to name but a few. Every staff member was a credit to the holiday inn brand and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel . ❤️

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for a basketball tournament. IHG is not my usual brand but this was the team’s choice. Overall my priorities in a hotel were met. Cleanliness is my top priority and I rate it 3/5. It would have been a 5/5 until the last night when they didn’t clean the room or replenish the towels. Otherwise it was a very clean hotel with room cleaning 3/4 of the days we stayed. Location was 5/5 as it was close to everything, Amenities were 3/5 for a nice breakfast and a heated pool and hot tub. The hot tub didn’t have working jets, but it was hot enough to be enjoyable, even during a cold front. 1 day the hot tub wasn’t working properly, but it was fixed quickly and heated up in a short time. Pool towels are basically hand towels and have to be signed out from the front desk, which surprised me from a hotel in this price range. Breakfast is the same every day, but it had a few options to choose from. I rate the staff a 4/5, which would have been 5/5 had the housekeeping been done our last day. Staff were very friendly and the manager was very professional! This is a very busy hotel but they managed the crowd well. Some short waits for the elevator at times. Overall, if our team returned to the area, I would not object to staying at this hotel again. To be a 5 star hotel, ensure housekeeping services daily to all rooms that request it, provide a little variety to the breakfast for longer staying guests, fix the hot tub, and provide regular sized pool towels by the pool.

Fab 2 night stay. We booked 2 rooms my Dad, nephew and brother stayed in one room and I stayed in the other with my 2 children. The rooms were both next to each other as requested and on a low floor as requested. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. The shuttle to the beach was easily booked and took us straight to the beach this was fab. We had such a great day. The rooms are large and very clean. We have stayed here before in September of 2022 just before the hurricane hit and said we would definitely come back and we did. We will happily return.

I shall say I have had nothing but great service and a wonderful experience at all of the Holiday inn expresses I have been at in the last year. The upgrades are just lovely, and the consistency from hotel to hotel is super. All of that is the same story at this one. The difference in this one is that they have charged me a $250 cleaning fee for smoking in the room, but I did not smoke in the room. I do smoke a pipe, and I admitted to wiping it out with a tissue and throwing the tissue into the garbage, but I did not smoke in the room. I don't smoke in my own room. Nonetheless the housekeeper said the room smelled of smoke and that's all it takes to get $250 out of you. Here's the rub: The policy is if you smoke in the room you'll have to pay $250. It doesn't say if there's a smell of smoke in the room, it says if you smoke in the room. People who smoke sometimes bring the smell of smoke in on their clothing or in their smoking device. Apparently that's what happened here, but I didn't smoke in the room. When someone says, "This is a smoke free room, if you smoke in the room you'll pay a $250 fine," I can understand that. So I didn't smoke in the room. If the policy is if there's a smell of smoke you have to pay $250 then they have to tell you that at the outset. That's not what I was told, and I'm not going to win this battle. But I know who did this to me.

One of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. I wiped on everything with Clorox wipes when I travel and not a spec was on a single one. And I wiped down every surface in the room. The beds were comfortable with a variety of pillows. I like the fact that the TV is on a swivel mount so you can easily see it from the couch and either bed. I was on the 5th floor on the water was hot within 30 seconds. Also had excellence water pressure. And a big thank you to Silas at the front desk. He did a wonderful job of accommodating all of my requests. Always had a smile and friendly greeting not only for me but every guest that I saw him interacting with.

I stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Express Maderia Beach on 9/28/2001. I was in the room alone, sitting in bed, at 9:30pm when a strange man with a key came into the room. To say I was shocked and terrified is an understatement. The man claimed it was his room and his things were in it. I informed this man there was nothing of his in my room and asked him to leave then promptly called the desk and told them to get my key from this man. I went downstairs to the desk and was told this had previously been the man's room and he'd left his bag so the clerk, without checking to see if it was occupied, gave this man a key to an occupied room. I do not recommend staying in a place with such low security standards that they will give anyone a room key without verifying they have in fact rented the room.

Normal service check in, they let platinum members get a snack and a drink. Rooms were very clean and it’s a very quiet location even with so much around. I enjoyed being able to walk to Walmart and grab items while passing through, it saved us at least 30 minutes.

Room smelled of mildew bathroom and felt wet- bathroom filthy ! Manager Lizzy not willing to do anything about smelly mildew room or dirty bathrooms. Said we could switch room at midnight with 4 kids already asleep. Also won’t let you cancel if you book through their website.
Booking direct from their website is almost twice the rate of all the third party sites and they don’t honor any lower price an can’t cancel . Dont not stay here if you can help it… do your research… for these prices you can stay closer to the beautiful beaches. The area is shady so not worth the bill $160-$200 plus a night- . And worst holiday inn express I’ve seen in a long time. Bad customer service and overpriced for smelly dirty rooms. Don’t let the nice pictures in the web fool you. Looks nothing like them.

Good morning and thank you for giving your feedback. Firstly, I want to apologize for any issues you encountered during your stay; we never want to see our guests unhappy with their stay. I see that you were offered a housekeeping service yesterday before noon after you declined to move the rooms. I see that room move was offered second time yesterday during the day as well as housekeeping service, but both offers were declined. Please let us know if there is anything we can do on our part to make your stay comfortable. I see that you mentioned rate, I also see that you booked discounted advanced purchase rate online. There are certain third parties that we do not do rate match with, simply because rate you are seeing is not the final price you pay, usually there are many fees added before you can make the booking and those rates do not guarantee the room type, which means that you would have to move rooms since most of the third parties do not offer rate for the suite which you have booked directly with us. We checked for the dates you inquired and rate on the third parties for your selected room is similar to the rate that you currently have; also keep in mind sometimes third party has a rate displayed that is not for your selected dates and as you proceed to book the room prices will change. Please let us know the website where you saw different rate since we also checked on our end and did not find lower rate. Again, we appreciate you bringing up the problems you experienced since we constantly look for ways to improve and your feedback is very helpful. Stayed here for 3 days and took advantage of the free shuttle within a few miles. Used the shuttle to get down to Madeira Beach where it’s difficult to get parking. We benefited from a free upgrade to a king suite and enjoyed use of the small fridge and microwave. Room had the standard Holiday Inn furnishings. Bed was nice and computer and I liked the pillow selection. Service friendly. Breakfast selection broader than some. Nice touch in the lobby is a large water dispenser with fresh fruit in the water.

Do not know how to answer for the length of time leaving your pet. We saw several during our stay, however, since we were going to be at the hospital so much our little dog stayed home.
Our complimentary shuttle service does go to the beach and within 5 miles of the hotel. This includes Johns Pass Fishing Village, Tyrone Mall, tons of restaurants and of course several beaches :) See you soon!
