First off, if I would’ve written this review the first night we were here, it would’ve been a 2. The room is small, bathroom horribly outdated, attic accessible from room - eek 😬 - thankfully it was clean so big plus there! The outside space is 5/5! Beautiful! Staff is amazing!! After speaking them, they are updating the rooms slowly after being hit by the hurricane last year. Will definitely return to this little oasis - resort style hotel and marina in the future. Tips: ask for single serve coffee maker before checking in - otherwise you’ll end up like us the first morning with no coffee :( if you need an iron, ask for it to be delivered to your room as well. With the updates, they’ll be adding steamers but for the time being you need to request an iron. At this time, there is no breakfast available, so plan accordingly. And there’s a $45/night additional charge - for what you ask? This isn’t just a hotel on the water with amazing views, it’s a mini resort with two pools, music, bar, service for drinks/food while relaxing at the beach, and access to paddle boards, kayaks, pickle bar courts, sand volleyball courts, and tennis courts. I’d say it was worth it in my opinion. Would recommend!

The property is beautiful. There are 2 pools; 1 for young kids, 1 for adults. Fabulous! Problem: bar music emits from speakers ALL AROUND THE POOLS - speakers every 20 feet from 10 AM to 10 PM. Bar itself has a great view. Also, bad experience w/ hot water problem in room. I had to explain to 2 employees that the boiler was not in our room. Another employee, Shay, was a ray of sunshine at 6 AM.

We had a wonderful experience at SkyBeach. We recommend and will return!
We arrived into town late and selected the hotel based on the location. To our delight, the hotel is being renovated and updated. We had a room overlooking the beach/water and the views are lovely. There's a walk out balcony with seating.
All of the amenities in the room were great and updated, comfy beds, large refrigerator, microwave, nice products in the bathroom.
We want to share our appreciation and patience for Naima upon check in. She was helpful and patient to ensure our booking off a 3rd party was confirmed.
Feedback for future guests would be to have someone to help with bags as the units available are 2nd floor.
We didn't have time to explore the 2 pools, firepit, bar, food truck, gym, but we will be back and enjoy these things next time!

Stayed in a 2-br suite for birthday celebration with kids. The shared living room between the two bedrooms was great - allowing both the kids & the adults plenty of their own space to enjoy!
The Jetski company staff was great as were the folks at the Skybar each day we stopped thru!
Awesome views from the Skybar & the private beach... included dolphins, the Skyway Bridge (all lit up at night), beautiful boats coming in to use their marina and some big cruise ships headed to & from the Port in Tampa :)

This was my first visit to St. Petersburg and I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Once I arrived, the hotel had everything I needed and wanted for a week long escape from my office job. It had beautiful views of the water, white sandy beaches, a breathtaking view of the Skyway bridge and lots of food options. I truly never had to leave and never wanted to leave either. The beach bar has a beautiful view from all sides. The food was always delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Really beautiful waterfront property with a ton of amenities. We enjoyed our staycation from Tampa very much. Location is excellent for visiting the Skyway Pier, Maximo Park downtown St. Pete the beaches all close by. PIckelball, volleyball, shuffle board, ping pong table, fire pit, jet sky rentals. The front desk was amazing!

Obnoxious place. Music at hotel bar was blasting all the time. Place was over priced both rooms and drinks. No restaurant, far from EVERYTHING. Even another hotel, restaurant, attraction or even a decent beach. No good reason to ever stay here again.

I attended the opening celebration and had a blast. Loved the multiple pools, 2nd floor bar, friendly service, and live music.
I would like to see the beach cleaned of moss as it was hard to walk the shore and swim with debris but this was a small set back to the overall experience.

Yes, we do clean the beach at least twice a day to remove the seaweed that washes up, but depending on the weather sometimes this can be unpredictable. We absolutely loved this place. It felt like being on the keys but a quick Uber trip to St. Petersburg. They have a great outside bar and food truck. Plan ahead for breakfast though. Marina at the front desk was soooo helpful and courteous. We will be back!

Horrible first impression with the front desk clerk. He questioned me about lying about him giving me wristbands for the pool access. He said he would look back at the security camera and then come find me after he reviewed the security feed because he knew he gave me the wrist bands. This was after as I was being checked in , he was confrontational with an elderly lady about having to many people in the reception area , that there was a sign on the door about having 6ft social distancing. She was just asking him a question, he told her to stand outside and wait. After her these 2 issues , as soon I went into my room. The room above us had a toilet leaking down onto our towels. I had to go find maintenance and housekeeping to get new towels. I didn't dare ask for a new room after the horrible experience. They want this place to be high end and it's not. Never been to this property before so I don't know what it was before this hotel. But I would basically equate to them masking a Days Inn as a hip JW Marriott . Not gonna happen here ! Overpriced room . The investors obviously spent the money on the grounds to make it appealing but it's a cheap hotel that won't hold up .
