Staybridge Suites at 940 5th Ave South meets all the checks that make their guests feel valued.. Starting at the GMgr role, the Asst GMgr, the line mgrs.. and service staff.. Ive worked in hospitality and received training while employed at Sheraton and Westin. Beds are the most comfy here and I stay in hotels in my cureent statewide service biz. Layout is smart. Lobby level is clean n bright. Staff always smiling and super helpful. Daily buffet is like their daughter's wedding! Fresh and delicious! Did i mention a beer, wine and hors douvres reception Mon Tues Wednesdays in buffet area? Also pkg area is most well lit ive seen. Green space adjacent to hotel stretches 7 blocks West.. ez access to highways and downtown St Petersburg.. special kudos to Rick, Christina, Lori, Teresa, Princess, Shawn, Preston, Donnie, Elsa, and others. Pool, Patio , grills, gym, event rooms. Best kept secret in St Petersburg hospitality.. Live the large in room desks but has biz center with printer. Shhh don't tell anyone that this hotel beats Marriott, Hilton even though I stay there when I can't find Staybridge! Thanks the GMgr on down these folks will make you feel refreshed.

Wonderful stay! Room was clean and very quiet. Super comfortable bed. Confusion at check in after booking through Expedia but it was handled Beautifully by Brittany. The breakfast created by Dawn was above and beyond expectations. This will be our go-to spot for visits to the St Pete area for sure. Super easy walk to the baseball stadium too!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great amenities, and spacious rooms. Full breakfast buffet had an excellent selection and was attended to by Eric who was very friendly and attentive. The social was a very nice addition with beer and wine and a light dinner selection. Nice opportunity to talk to some of the staff and other guests. Tracy and the General manager were always on hand and were attentive. The heated pool was a great amenity and the area was cleaned and spacious (do not know the name of the woman who was cleaning but she was always out and about cleaning the seating table and lounge chairs). We would have appreciated having a touch up done in our room ( we asked but it did not happen) for towels, trash and replacing coffee and tea. While we understand that it is an extended stay hotel, not every guest is long term. We also had an issue with the GFCI outlet not operable. Told a front desk person and nothing was done. Told the general manager and he immediately sent someone but he was not able fix it. A little more attention to cleaning and maintenance in some areas would have made this an even better stay. The general manager seems to be trying to work on bringing the hotel to another level.

The property is in need of renovation, mostly the indoors. The furniture was worn and looks like it came from IKEA. The soap at the sink in the bathroom was through a dispenser, which was empty. The mattress on both beds were stiff and did not give an inch. After the first nights sleep, I hurt everywhere. My husband and I had to go to Walmart the next day and purchase a 3" memory foam pad. It did the trick, but we spent $68 just so I could sleep. We are seasoned travelers and this was by far the worst mattress I experienced. The property had no ice machines, also a first. My husband had to go to the front desk and talked to a house keeper who went in the back and filled a pitcher. It is a good location if traveling to see a baseball game as it is a short walk from Tropicana Field. The only hotel in the area with that convenience. One other nice amenity was hors d'oevres and free beer and wine Monday-Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 PM. I did not utilize the free breakfast, but my husband did. He did say there was quite a bit to choose from.

This Staybridge location was an amazing home away Post Hurricane Helene, and Milton. The staff takes extra special care offering Free Washers/ Dryers and an excellent breakfast daily. We would like to give an extra star to Rick, Christina, and Lori as great managers, also Princess, Erica, and Vinson at the front. Housekeepers Lashone, Glenda, and Elsa cleaned our room perfectly. Kitchen staff Tracy and Lashawn met any special need required in the AM. Saving the best for last, head of housekeeping Liz shines as the brightest star in the Staybridge Galaxy! She was the greatest comforter upon the arrival of a 2nd Hurricane, Milton! and assured everyone of their safety during a very stressful experience. Highly recommended for a short or longer stay.

Very friendly staff comfortable and clean rooms, the breakfast was hot and delicious. It’s been awhile since we have had a good hotel breakfast, The attendant Dawn was right on top of keeping everything fresh and hot , I also noticed that as soon as guests left tables were being cleaned . I don’t say often a hotel breakfast was good but at this hotel I can say between the room and the breakfast we really enjoyed our stay here and if we visit the area again this will be where we stay

As a positive the staff is extremely friendly, and the parking is free. Our room was nicely sized, and the the set was good. The air from the ventilation unit does not blow directly on you which is a plus as well. The biggest issue was that we did not look at the shower until we were ready to shower and check out. There was black mold along the inside base of the shower . This should have been noticed by housekeeping and corrected before guests would be assigned to this room. We reported this at check out .

The Hotel staff was amazing from the moment I walked through the door. Selena at the front desk was my first POC and she was so sweet and efficient. I then encountered Housekeeping staff , they were friendly and assisted in getting me a do not disturb sign for my room. The head of Housekeeping Liz was hard at work during the Happy Hour buffet she was so positive and happy. The following day I was greeted by Eric who was the breakfast chef he saw me waiting for breakfast and opened early to accommodate me. He also was very happy and positive. Traci the director of sales and Christina the Front Office manager assisted serving with the happy hour both ladies loved their jobs. Happy to help with any questions that guests had. Overall my stay was fantastic. I would definitely make a point to stay at that property again and recommend it to others.

The customer service at Staybridge Suites is the best I have ever received.
Dawn & Tara were in charge of the breakfast service. They went above and beyond my expectations. The food offerings we ample, well cooked, and the fruit was fresh and perfect. The whole area was so clean that any Covid/flu fears were unnecessary. They greeted every patron upon enterance and I heard them discussing a customized treat to suprise a patron who was at the end of an extended stay. I was having a rough morning due to a medical condition and asked for a special tray so I could carry my brealfast to my room. I didn't explain my disability related need (and it is not readily visible) yet my request was met with a cheery smile , zero questions/hesitations, and the offer of different sizes of trays to suit my needs.
These employees shine so brightly over so many others in different hotels, you know the ones... those who have offered poor service after the pandemic, or do the bare minimum. If you want a hotel where you are treated like you paid for The Ritz but is affordable and wonderfully located in St. Pete, BOOK at Staybridge. This staff put me in an amazing mood for the rest of my day!!! Kuddos to you DAWN & TARA!!!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my mother and 2 young children as we were going to the Enchant Christmas event at Tropicana Field. About the only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it was directly across the street from the venue so it only took 2 minutes to drive there. Aside from that the location is quite sketchy. There were NON-hotel guests constantly hanging out in the parking lot, helping themselves to the free breakfast in the lobby, smoking weed outside, etc. The hotel is located directly off the highway exit so you have to cut across multiple lanes of oncoming traffic to get into the parking lot. Parking spots are TINY so you can’t even get into your own car if someone parks next to you. The free breakfast was mediocre at best with rubber eggs & sausage. But worst of all was the room. There was mold on the ceiling around the air vents. Pieces of the carpet ripped. The couch was absolutely filthy to the point that I didn’t even feel comfortable sitting on it. There were layers of visible dust on nearly everything. My kids were afraid to get in the bath because of the mold near the drain. And to top it all off we have now come home with bed bugs! Having experienced bed bugs over 15 years ago, I know just about everything there is to know about them and have always prided myself on choosing hotels that have absolutely no bed bug reviews or history as it was not something I ever wanted to experience again. Well, apparently this hotel’s reviews are all lies because my 7 year old is completely covered with bites and still getting new ones at home and we now we have to incur the costs and damage not to mention stress that comes with all of this thanks to this awful hotel. Avoid this place at all costs!
