The beach of a thousand umbrellas…. Beachside 2 is way overcrowded due to giving no guests access. Beachside 2 has a security officer keeping their beach less crowded. See pic to truly appreciate. The umbrellas are 6 rows deep!!! Plus non commercial chairs in front and behind them. The condo itself was nice.

We have stayed in the area various times but thought we would try a new condo. the view from the 14th floor, amazing, access to the beach, wonderful and the fireworks on Saturday were a great surprise. The condo itself needed some major upgrades, it was like someone purchased it in the 90's and just left everything the way it was. Could have been cleaner.

Location was the key here, beautiful views of the gulf from the balcony and from the bedroom. Right on the beach, just a few steps out the door and you’re on the sand. Unit in the picture was somewhat different than the actual unit. Older and not as upgraded. Pool was nothing special.

Arrived at Beachside 2 for our annual November trip. Weather was good. Pool was to be heated as usual but was not. Water temp was a not swimmable 71 degrees. Management said that it was only seasonably heated. I would think that November should qualify. We called several other condo complexes in the area and they all had warm pools. With 2 small children who wanted to swim this is very disappointing. I would suggest booking elsewhere.

We travel quite a bit and stay in condos throughout the US. Condo 4343 at Beachside II was a disappointment. Washer, dryer, and pull out bed were broken. We called maintenance multiple times to get someone to fix them but no one showed up. The condo did not have sheets for the pull out bed. We had call to have them bring a set of sheets.

Stayed here in March with my best girl friends and it was a blast. The view from the condo is AMAZING, we couldn't believe it. Had breakfast on the balcony every morning. The place was clean, well-furnished, and decorated with good taste. Plenty of room and great bathrooms (I'm always picky about this, but #4090's were great).

The beach is gorgeous and we saw starfish, sea turtles, jellyfish, crabs,...you name it! Highly recommend hitting up Fat Daddy's Pizza for March Madness...we had a great time.

I reluctantly made a reservation for this 3 bedroom condo sight-unseen. I have never visited this area and was not familiar with the accomodations. I couldn't imagine that a 3 bedroom condo could be so reasonably priced and meet my high expectations. The unit is on the 18th floor (4369) and is absolutely beautiful. The gulf view is nothing short of awesome. I was so content that shopping at the outlet mall (1 mile away) was an effort! It is beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen has been updated and is well stocked with equipment. This unit is managed by the Sandestin Resort and they do a wonderful job maintaining this unit for the owner. I will come back soon without my children. A one bedroom unit will suffice. However, I will gladly pay for the extra bedrooms not being used. This unit is worth every penny.

This place is a total dump. I am here right now and you name it and its broken. Doors, windows, shower, outlets, etc. place was so dirty we had to call the maintenance group twice and they still never cleaned it. My family rented 3 total units and they were all the same. We learned the hard way but will never come back to this dump. Go somewhere else....fast!

We stayed at the Beachside II building in a unit we rented from the owner through an agency. It was on the tenth floor overlooking the beach and ocean. Aside from the musty, beachside feel of the place, this is a nice place to spend some time. Just go down the elevator (when they are working) and walk down to the beach. There are no restaurants or stores or anything of that nature in this building, but there is a restaurant within easy walking distance.

The beach here is friendly, with a sand shelf that goes out quite some distance. It is crowded! On the beach you can find some food, some places to rent water toys, and this is where the parasailers and banana boaters leave to have their fun.

The good thing about Sandestin is that it was created so that you do not have to leave the facility to do a variety of things. A shuttle can take you all over the complex. My favorite was the marina and a little restaurant there. It was relaxed and never crowded. There was even a parrot and sometimes live music. I liked the wharf as well, but it was generally pretty crowded. Just about any cuisine you want was there, and at night the atmosphere was very nice. There were fireworks just about every night.

Sandestin resort is located near shopping and restaurants and activities. Seaside village is about 20 minutes away and is a place that is very pleasant and picturesque.

These condos vary a lot, as many are privately owned and supervised. The one we got seemed a bit worn and could do with a good cleaning, but it was comfortable and well located. There are newer buildings that front the beach as well, so I will be looking at those the next time I am in town. I would like a fresher feel.

I think it probably depends on the unit. They’re condos so you would have to contact the owner.

Yes, Beachside I and II both have pools. Beachside II is also close to a little tiki hut. I think you can get alcohol there, but I'm not positive as I did not visit there.
Answer from Beth S

It is not a public beach, but we do allow guests to bring their own chairs and umbrellas to the beach and set up. We set chairs to the line that we own and unfortunately from there to the gulf is not privately owned so the guests can set up in those spots.
