Detailed Reviews
I have mostly good things to say about this property. The people behind the front desk were helpful and most of them were very friendly. The room was adequate and the breakfast was satisfactory. They did tend to run out of things at breakfast, like bananas and hot water. The shower was hot and had good water pressure but there was no fan in the bathroom so it steamed up pretty quickly. My bed was lumpy and the pillows were too thin. The thermostat worked fine and the TV worked so we were relieved, since a few people had posted issues with those items in previous reviews. The hotel is super close to the airport so there is really nothing around to walk to. It served its purpose. On our last day we requested a shuttle ride to the airport and we were told that the driver had left for the day (this was around 11:15 AM). The young woman behind the front desk said that the hotel would pay for Lyft to get us there and we were on our way soon after. We really appreciated that.

Hotel's Favourite
Excellent customer service, quiet room great location near airport.
My room was not ready so Dan offered me a room on the first floor. I never stay on the 1st floor due to the noise. He assured me that there would be no traffic noise and no airplane noise. He was right! Recommend staying on first floor rooms #132/#134/#136 - inside, very quiet.
Fred B. heard my comment of how cute the little 4th of July dog display was on the receptionist counter. After checking in - he placed it in my room. It is rare that an employee makes that kind of effort to make a customer happy.
The towels were plush. Good water pressure.
The breakfast buffet was inviting, clean and plentiful.

This Hampton Inn is just outside the grounds of the Sarasota airport (SRQ) but you don't need to walk because their shuttle will pick you up in minutes from your call. Our driver, Frank, was especially friendly and helpful with directions to the sites we planned to visit. (The Ringling circus museum, art museum, and Ca' d'Zan mansion are about a 15 minute walk from the Hampton Inn.) Front desk staff were equally friendly, especially Drew who provided advice on sightseeing and restaurants just as the concierge at a luxury hotel would do. Complimentary wine and cookies in the lobby were an unexpected treat (don't know if this is a regular thing). Breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn selection, which is the best in this price category of hotel. Our only complaint is the spout on the bathroom sink fixture extends almost to the front edge of the bowl, making it difficult to get your hands under it to wash your face or to shave. See photo.

This Hampton is well below Hampton standards. We arrived at 5:00 pm and the front desk had to check to ensure that our room had been cleaned. As with the rest of the hotel, the room itself, while reasonably clean, was not well maintained. For example, the metal frame holding the glass shower door to its track was broken and the door flopped open, allowing water to pour onto the bathroom floor. We found the mattress lumpy and the pillows uncomfortable. The substandard breakfast featured oatmeal swimming in water. If you must stay here, try to get a room away from University Parkway as the traffic noise is quite pronounced.

If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport this fits the bill. However it is worn and could use some TLC. The first room was musty mildew smelling and the A/C unit panel was open (pics below) when we entered. We asked to change rooms and the staff could not have been nicer. They even sent house keeping into the second room to ensure the A/C filter was cleaned. However, that room also had the musty mildew odor. We should have asked for another room but the first time we asked they did mention the hotel was at near capacity so we decided to live with the second room. The cost was $405 for the night. Way too much for what it was especially with the room issue.
Again, the staff was great, the hotel itself, not so much. Will not return to this hotel.

We were in Sarasota for the first time to sightsee with The Ringling as a focus. The hotel was a perfect choice, only a 3-minute drive to the hotel from the museum which we toured first.
We were welcomed by Sarah who was interested in our stay, providing sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. Quick check in and convenient parking.
The newly renovated rooms are spare but comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Despite being adjacent to the airport, we heard zero noise. Our top floor room 406 overlooked the drive to the airport and we could see the top of the Ringling Art Museum.
The breakfast room is large. It was nice to have the full hot breakfast back again. However, we are not fans of common use serving spoons and tongs. Since all plastic ware is individually wrapped, it doesn’t make sense for all guests to use the same serving spoon and tongs without gloves available. Food was plentiful; we were especially fond of the mini muffins.
We would return to the property on future visits.

It’s been a long time since I’ve wrote a review. But I must say the customer service here deserves a great review. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in until 3am. I called the hotel when we landed and a Lyft was waiting outside for us. Which is great, after a long day. It was literally a 3 minute drive from airport to the hotel, the front desk person got us through VERY quickly and was ready for us and met us with bottles of water and snacks and said I’m sure you all must be tired and hungry. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Excellent options for breakfast, and they even had bags by the front door for grab and go options. I would definately reccomend

I opted for this hotel because having a car seemed convenient to get around the area and more central hotels were very expensive. But cheap is expensive. Terrible wifi. The tables and chairs in the pool area had dirt accumulated from many days. The armchairs in the place where breakfast is served are made of fabric and were all stained and the tables were dirty and no one cleaned them.

This is a relatively new hotel in a convenient location next to the airport. It is also close to the beautiful Ringling Museum and close to many nice restaurants. The hotel has a special Covid virus disinfectant program for rooms, which is why we chose the location. In addition they have social distancing and masks and other safety precautions. The free breakfast was delicious and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The place was spotless. What is also nice is they have soups and dinners that you can purchase to heat up in your room. I used the workout room which was quite large with good equipment. The price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I arrived at the hotel with my family to occupy two rooms, reserved in advance and we found the rooms dirty, with remains of food on the tables, unsanitary carpets, bad air conditioning, blocked curtains, and an unbearable smell of chlorine in the rooms. It was not possible to stay and now after a month they do not return the money paid. Arielle Constato and Jose Agustin, the managers, promised me a refund in 10 days because they understood this but they still haven't deposited anything from the headquarters.

Please call the hotel directly for their current schedule. You need to be at the airport at least two hours prior to departure.
