From the minute we walked in the door we were happy that we chose the Sarasota location. Tiffany, the desk clerk was very warm and check in was fast. The day and night shuttle drivers, (sorry I can't remember their names) were also very friendly and helpful. Our wait for a ride was minimal leaving and returning to the hotel. The waitress, Kim, at breakfast was friendly. She gave great service. Housekeeping was very friendly and offered to help when I was struggling with my key. The location is great when enjoying Marina Jack's and the evening cruises out of that area. The newly renovated rooms are immaculate and modern. We had not stayed at this location since the renovation. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Apparently updated recently. Not lavish, but nicely appointed and bright. Very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff and shuttle driver extremely friendly and helpful. Very near main street and shuttle goes to/from a 3mi radius, as well as to SUN Hydraulics and airport. Convenient underground (out of sun) parking. The only weak point was the coffee (but being from southern Louisiana, we may expect too much from our coffee). Definitely would stay again.

We've been to this hotel 5 prior times when it was called Hotel Indigo. Last time it was in the middle of management/ownership changes and the visit was less than stellar. This time, however, it was wonderful.
Apparently, the name change just happened a week prior to our visit, but the rooms have been under renovation floor by floor for the past year. They were still actively ironing out a few glitches which they were well on top of. The shower is big enough to have a party inside, the amenities are quality products, and the entire bathroom is roomy and clean. The bed will give you a good night's sleep from the minute you lay your head on the pillow.
We had an issue with the closet door sliding off the rail - okay, so I'd forced it - and a crew was in the room within 5 minutes to adjust it. The snazzy espresso maker didn't work right for us, so the staff went out and bought a Mr. Coffee machine for us to use during our stay...is that amazing customer service or what?!!
Every single one of the staff was cheerful, warm, and more than willing to help with anything. It's located within less than 1/2 mile from lots of shopping and good restaurants. It does have its own restaurant, whose food smelled great, but we had dinner commitments every night so didn't get to dine there. Book a room and enjoy your stay!

The room was clean if very small and without decent places to put things (I had to move a giant, silly serving tray from the bed to a tiny round table at the window, we did without any drawers at all, and I remarked to my husband "oh! they accidentally left a couple of hangers!" Maybe this wouldn't be a big deal for shorter stays than ours but we were very cramped) and the location was fine, especially given the easy walk to the old downtown and the free shuttle to the beach (which we did not use) and to St Armand's (which we did). Appreciated having the mini fridge to use as well. Our room keys were problematic nearly every time we left the room; pretty sure it had to be the lock and not the keys. The fitness area was small but fairly well equipped (though no towels!). The spa pools suited our needs, though both the cold and the hot tubs were in desperate need of cleaning (and all but two of the hot jets were broken). The coffee situation each morning was a total joke--how about bigger pots? Or more pots? I will also echo the comments of others regarding the clear dichotomy between the friendly and very unfriendly staff members. Overall, a decent but unremarkable stay. We had expected something a bit more higher end for the special trip, and were surprised by the mid-range quality of each aspect of the stay.

We stayed for a quick two days on February 21st 22, 2022. The hotel was easy to get to and located centrally to everything. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The cleaning crew never came until the late afternoon when we were back to the room, so we just asked for some more coffee and towels. The room was beautiful and extremely spacious. The only thing that could be improved was the color of the grout that seemed dirty.
The staff was friendly and helpful. There are many amenities at this hotel. We would stay here again, highly recommended in the area. The only downside to being such a central location was the excessive amount of construction in the whole city as hotels are being erected all around which makes traffic crazy and lots of noise if your AC is off.

We changed our reservations in Sarasota on the beach since there was a red tide with dead fish on the beaches. The Indigo is well located near city center and for us, the family we were visiting. The hotel is near restaurants and shopping and if you do not like walking about a mile, they have a free 24hr shuttle that we used several times. The breakfasts were very good, which are include up to $30/couple, but they were short on servers (a problem in Sarasota). The breakfasts were very good. The room was quite clean and had a king sized bed that was very comfortable. The bath towels were a bit thin considering the cost. There also were missing amenities, e.g., shampoo and soap. They were immediately addressed at the front desk. Parking was perfect and no cost. Would rank the Indigo 4+.

We had booked 2 nights at this hotel for our stay in Sarasota. Upon arrival it immediately became apparent that parts of the hotel were undergoing major refurbishment. We were told that both the gym & the restaurant were out of use. When in our room during the day we found the noise from the building work to be very intrusive. At no point in the booking process had we been advised that this work was taking place. Moreover, on our first night there was no hot water for the shower. When my husband reported this to reception he was offered another room which he checked out & sadly there was no hot water in that bathroom either. The final straw was on our last morning when we were told that they had no hot water to make tea! It was shambolic. We shall not be returning.

This hotel is in a convenient location because it is not in the city center and has easy access to get to the beach and other attractions. Unfortunately, we were there during the end of a major remodeling of the hotel. The staff were great and tried to minimize the noise and dust. I will never stay at a hotel when there is construction! It will be finished soon and it will be nice.

What a find! It started with my first phone call to secure a room on the ground floor. I was told it would be blocked out for me. Upon arrival, I was told that the room was not ready but we can store your luggage, We were also welcomed with two housemade chocolate dipped macaroons! The Voco has a free shuttle that takes you around town. Ken took us to the Selby Botanical Gardens. On the way, he pointed out places of interest. What a nice guy! He picked us up at 1 pm…on schedule. The night driver was Jim. Another great drive to St Armand’s Circle. The room is spectacular. Hardwood floors, great linen, trendy decor, quiet, clean. The bartender at their bar was friendly and drink prices were reasonable. You can walk to downtown Sarasota and the marina from the hotel. Great location!! Highly recommended,

While I enjoyed the hotel and the staff, unfortunately the room key never worked when I was there. Essentially I had to stop by the seat every single time I wanted to enter my room, no solution no offer of anything for this annoying situation. All the staff were extremely nice and just as frustrated but unfortunately nothing additional was ever offer for their awful key card system. Just think about every time you need to open you expensive hotel door you have to stop at the desk For a new card , unacceptable!
