Lido Beach Resort is celebrated for its inviting atmosphere with a lively tiki bar and a family-friendly setting, though some feel the rooms could use additional finesse. The resort's spotlessness receives high marks, with guests appreciating the pristine conditions across the board. Its beachfront location garners praise for ease of access to local attractions and the handy airport shuttle. Guests commend the warm and adept service, despite occasional feedback suggesting room for enhancement. While the amenities are generally applauded, particularly the beach and spacious rooms, some visitors suggest they could be polished further. The value proposition, however, is occasionally questioned, as some guests find discrepancies with costs and hidden fees.

Our two-night stay at Lido Beach Resort was set against a less-than-ideal backdrop of rainy, cold weather, but the resort’s offerings still left a mostly positive impression.

The view from the Tiki Tower junior suite was the real star—nine floors up, it offered a stunning look at the Gulf of Mexico. The balcony was perfect for soaking in sunrises and sunsets, if only the rain had let up. Inside, the suite was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen featuring a full-size fridge, cooktop, and plenty of counter space. The bathroom was also big, with the largest shower I’ve ever seen and an abundance of counterspace, towels and decent lotions and shampoos. (While we appreciated the one robe, it would’ve been nice to have a second for a double-occupancy room.) The beds and linens were solid.

The resort’s public areas were equally impressive, with a mix of inviting indoor and outdoor spaces, a lobby marketplace, a winding lagoon connecting the two buildings, firepits, and two pools. On the eighth floor, Drift Kitchen and Bar offers breathtaking views of the Gulf and city, where we spent part of an evening made even better by our server, Susana. From the moment we arrived, her elegance, attentiveness, and knack for anticipating our needs enhanced our dining experience. Later, we made our way down to the Tiki Bar, where the staff's friendly, upbeat attitude provided the perfect escape from the freezing rain—exactly what we needed on a “beach” vacation.

However, there were a few missed opportunities for a more polished and memorable experience. After check-in in the lobby, we had to drive to the parking garage and then lug our bags to our room on the ninth floor. For a resort charging over $500 per night, the absence of a luggage service detracted from the “resort” feel. Additionally, while the room was thoughtfully designed, there were no extra touches like a small welcome gift (fruit, flowers, or champagne) to elevate the experience.

The service at the front desk was another weak point. Aside from the initial check-in, the staff lacked the attentiveness and concierge-like spirit that would have enhanced our stay. For instance, when we called to inquire about streaming services, the clerk seemed unsure and unhelpful. (The absence of streaming options, or at least clear guidance on how to access them, felt like a surprising oversight.)

Finally, when we asked for a late checkout due to the promise of better weather, the indifferent response—“Check tomorrow morning”—was disappointing, especially since they already knew the room’s availability.

Overall, Lido Beach Resort has plenty of potential, with stunning accommodations, excellent dining, and a welcoming atmosphere in its public spaces. With a bit more attention to guest services and thoughtful details, it could transform a good stay into a truly exceptional one.

We very much appreciated the great service at the hotel. Everyone from the front desk, bars, restaurants and beach attendants were great. The bartenders at the Tiki bar were excellent. They would provide quick service and very friendly. It was convenient having breakfast, lunch and dinner options right at the hotel. The beach market cafe was a great quick option that had healthy choices such as cold pressed juices and bowls. They also had coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. We ate at the tiki bar everyday for lunch and very much enjoyed it. We sat down twice and then ordered to go once and eat at the beach. We had the coconut shrimp, fish tacos and the chicken sandwich. We had a great dinner at drift which was the upscale restaurant. We didn’t make a reservation and sat at the bar. The red snapper was excellent. There is a free shuttle that takes you to St. Armands Circle. The hotel is right on the ocean and there is a kids pool and adults only pool with hot tubs. Highly recommend.

Staff are accommodating and helpful with questions and with suggestions. Beautiful, clean and spacious rooms that look just as they do online.
The ocean is gorgeous and there are very small waves which allow you to float or stay in the water for extended periods of time without having any trouble. Towel, chair, and umbrella service is available and the attendants are fun and very friendly and also always had complimentary ice cold water at the stands. The tiki bar is such a fun place and the atmosphere is young and fun! A Cool mix of music plays throughout the pool area and can be heard in both the family friendly pool as well as the adults only pool. 2 pm at the pool means a visit from the ice cream tricycle offering ice cream sandwiches or pops! They come right to you in the pool! Frosty beverages also find their way right into your hands while in the pool ! The menu at the tiki bar is very good offering choices from salads, fries and my favorite fish tacos!
We felt so special here as we were celebrating an anniversary. They made a special point to have complimentary wine and cheese/ nut assortment for us in our room as well as a thoughtful note from management. The special treatment didn’t end there! The friendly front desk staff provided us with the best complimentary frozen (virgin) pina colada and strawberry daiquiris each day after noon as a little frozen treat to help beat the heat!
This resort is also pet friendly and while we didn’t have our fur babies with us we got to meet a few new friends while we stayed here.
Our room was thoroughly cleaned each day and restocked with fabulous toiletries! You can just leave your personal products at home as the shampoo and conditioner and body wash are fantastic!
The free shuttle to St. Armand’s circle is also awesome! No driving at all for us and it runs from morning until 10pm! Drivers are nice and a quick phone call away! The proximity of this resort from the Sarasota airport is also perfect! We were at the resort in less than 20
Minutes after leaving the airport!
I could go on and on about this resort and the little things that make it such a special place!

Well-appointed spacious and clean rooms in the tower, complimentary bottled water each day, daily housekeeping earlier in the day meant a clean room after spending the day at the pool or beach. The service at the hotel, restaurant, and cafe was friendly and professional. A huge screen tv in the lounge on the 8th floor with plenty of USB ports were perfect for friends hanging out and you can park in their parking garage with entry to the floor you're staying on, which is super convenient. The use of an elastic wristband to open door as well as to get into the parking lot was also a thoughtful perk. The breakfast sandwiches at the cafe were delicious and the free refills on coffee with purchase was a nice touch. The restaurant and bar were also wonderful. I rarely write reviews but had a really great 3-night stay.

We just returned from 2 1/2 weeks at the Lido Beach Resort and it was wonderful. Service was exceptional. You could not get better service at a 5 star hotel. Tatyana at the pool was the nicest person you could meet and did everything to accommodate us. Franchi at the front desk addressed any request we made, and always with a smile. Drift Restaurant on the premises is first-rate, and the wait staff, especially Marco, were always welcoming and on top of things. The beach is lovely and the hotel has two pools, one a family pool and the other the adult pool. Both are great, and servers are ready to take your order for lunch whenever you want it, but we enjoyed eating at the pools' Tiki Bar. The food was far superior to what you ordinarily get at a poolside restaurant. Excellent salads and great burger. We had a car, but if you don't there is a shuttle to take you into St. Armand's Circle, just a few minutes from the hotel with a number of good restaurants. Can't say enough about our room, a King Studio Suite with a breathtaking oceanfront view from the balcony. The sunsets were unbelievable. Housekeeping came around twice a day, provided fresh towels, botted waters, and cleaned up dishes as the room has a full kitchen, a dining table for four, a king size bed and a queen size sofa bed. We loved it!

We hosted an outdoor (and indoor, once the rain came) wedding here for 68 guests in the Sunset Sand Garden (the area is newer and hard to find pictures of, but its definitely worth a visit to the resort when location scouting!). We needed a place to host 100% out-of-town guests and our wedding. While planning a wedding out of state, we ran into a few hiccups along the way (turtle season....) but Emily & Cassidy did everything they could to still host the event of our dreams. We had to move indoors when a shower popped up and the venue worked so hard to turn it around quickly. The ballroom is a great back-up and location option. Our family was really pleased with their stays at the resort, with amenities, and the wedding service/food/etc. The only warning here is that room stays are very pricey and there aren't many great cost effective options on Lido Key. Lido Key is great for having guests, thanks to St Armand's circle being walkable from LBR. All this being said, LBR staff hosted a beautiful wedding for us in May 2023.

The property is well maintained on the outside and whenever there was a problem in the room we got immediate attention. They even replaced the dishwasher since it had a faulty part. I have to mention the front desk manager, Franchi, who was so attentive to our needs when there was any issue. She resolved our problems with a smile on her face. I was in tears saying thank you to her for everything she had done for my family during our visit. The staff at the pool also made the vacation relaxing by making sure we were comfortable and attending to our requests.

We stayed in the Tiki Tower on the 4th floor. Beautiful view of the beach from our door. The main issue we had was that we lost water for a good 3 hours on one of the days. I received a text that said water would be off for 20-30 minutes which then became 3 hours without any updates in between or even an offer of a drink ticket or something to make up for the inconvenience.

The hotel room was nice & we loved getting waters everyday in addition to the nice drink upon checkin. There were also plenty of charging areas in the room by the beds. Having a full sized fridge and a dishwasher in the room was nice, but we felt they were not necessary. We wished the bathoom would've been bigger as it was very tight and the door won't close if there's a bath mat on the floor. Some towel hooks on the back of the door would have been nice as there's nowhere to hang your towel for when you exit the shower.
We sat at the pool the first day and it was nice. However, the next 2 days (but not the last day!) there were black bugs which swarmed all around us. I asked for assistance, but there was nothing the attendants could do about it so we went to the beach & were given a drink ticket for the issue which was nice. We were not told that there was a charge for umbrellas until the next day so that was annoying that the attendant who helped us failed to mention that there was a $15 cost per umbrella even though some people just took seats that were already setup & didn’t have to pay anything.
We went to Drift twice. Dinner was outstanding. Food & service were wonderful. Breakfast was a huge fail. We waited about 20 minutes even though the restaurant looked empty. Then we waited another 20 minutes to put our orders in and then another 25-30 minutes for our food. Our waitress was very inattentive. We saw a couple at another table stand up and say they needed to take theirs to go because they had to catch their flight. At first, we thought that was weird, but then after spending 1.5 hours there, we then understood that they must've been waiting for too long like us and had to leave.
The weather was great so that made the trip worth it. We loved having an adult pool! It was nice having the option to take the shuttle to St. Armand’s, but the last morning we had to wait as it was not ready at 8am. The woman driver did not seem concerned that we had been waiting. Most of the time we just walked there, which I’d recommended unless it gets too hot.

Upon arrival we were greeted by John, who was amazing - could not do enough for us, but unfortunately the rest of the stay was disastrous.

Reception staff were direct, no customer service at all - did not give clear instructions to location of room, therefore took us ages to locate the room as there are two buildings.

When we arrive in our room, view was amazing, but no toilet roll, no shower gel in shower, cable length of hairdryer (see photos attached) was ridiculous - did not allow to reach the mirror for you to dry your hair.

The following day we went to breakfast, staff not ready, order taken on a scrap of paper, coffee arrived for my husband without cream, no coffee arrive at all for me, so 20 mins later, my husband went to the kitchen to find a waiter and all they did was make excuses and blame each other and the fact they had a conference on and were busy, we decided to leave.

We went to go meet the general manager, Bert, who I have to say was outstanding, listened to all our concerns, did not argue, took on board our criticism and made a note of the areas of concern.

This hotel has so much potential, in such a beautiful part of the cost, great views, but staff need to be customer focused, hotel needs updating and rooms need to be prepared.

Not sure if would stay again, especially how pricy it is.

My husband and I just got back from a 5 day babymoon and had the time of our lives! The Lido Beach Resort staff went above and beyond to make us feel completely relaxed and taken care of, and every day we saw smiles from the valet to the waitstaff to the cleaning crew.

We stayed at the Palm Tower and enjoyed the beautiful view of the beach out our balcony. The cleaning crew were very kind and sent up twice the usual amount of water for us, which I appreciated greatly as I'm pregnant and need the extra fluids! Our room was immaculately clean with fine attention to detail, like decorated tissue paper designs and organized coffees and teas.

The beach is spectacular! The sand is well manicured and the ocean water warm and aquamarine. The waves were also quite gentle. We requested beach chairs and an umbrella a few times and every staff member at the rental hut made it so effortless. The guests were all as happy as we were, and extremely respectful - one guest asked permission to another guest to quietly play their radio. It was so nice to see.

We didn't use either of their 2 pools, but loved they had ADA pool lifts at both the family and adults only pool. That accessibility feature showed just how much they think of every guest.

We enjoyed the food and drinks at the 8th floor Drift restaurant and the Tiki Bar near the pools. We had breakfast and dinner at Drift and both times, were taken care of by Michael. He made both occasions spectacular and was extremely attentive, as well as friendly. Their breakfast potatoes were irresistible! Dinner at Drift was very romantic with the intimate table and incredible western view of the beach with the sun setting over the water. The Tiki Bar had good food and great drinks! The hostess, waitress, and bartender were all wonderful as well.

I love their text service feature - if you need anything or have questions, they are a text away! It also served as a great announcement vehicle, as one morning we were alerted to a possible sea turtle nest sighting and a slight delay with the beach chair/umbrella services so that potential nests could be marked and not disturbed. I love the respect they have for not only their guests, but for their wildlife.

Their shuttle service to St. Armands Circle was so easy! And every driver that picked us up and dropped us off was extremely friendly.

This was a trip of a lifetime for both of us, and we are SO grateful to every member of Lido Beach Resort that turned this trip into an unforgettable and spectacular experience. Thank you from the Sons!

When we stayed in the Tiki, we parked outside in the lot and always could find a spot although there were few to choose from. When we stay in the Palm Tower, parking is very easy and we always had more than one to choose from. There is also street parking and I remember seeing spots here and there.

I sure think so! We are coming back for our fourth visit and we just love it. I have never been in November but our spring trips have all been amazing. We love both the pools and the beach and have stayed in both the Tiki Tower and Palm Tower. The shuttle to St. Armands Circle is super easy and although it is pricey, I am so spoiled now, I am not sure I will stay elsewhere.
