This place is awesome! Wonderful location! Great efficiency with wonderful views from the porch. My husband and I were thrilled to spend a week here. Every morning he fished from the dock and was amazed at how many variety of fish he caught. He had fun learning how to net cast mullet. Had never done that before! We frolicked in the sparkling clean pool every day and enjoyed gorgeous sunrises every morning. Loved the recreation room right on the waters edge where we grilled our meals in the evening. Even got to see porpoises swim by one night! Having laundry facilities was a plus! Everybody was so friendly as well as the owners, Janet and Bruno. We got to love Janet's two Yorkies...especially Hercules! We looked forward to petting him every time we went to the office. Janet…

We recently stayed at the Sportsman's for the third time. Everything that's been said in prior reviews is correct: Spacious, clean, convenient, friendly, etc. My husband, and the friends who came with us, are avid fishermen, so I will add that the fishing (right off the dock) was great!!! They caught fish after fish.... large and small.... and they all had a wonderful time. We brought our Golden, who also loves to fish and got so excited with every catch!! I would say this: If you're looking for a fancy hotel, with daily room service and breakfast... this is not the place for you! BUT, if you're looking for a clean, well-stocked and comfortable room, friendly owners and vacationers, beautiful surroundings, all the restaurants and shopping you could ask for nearby, then I suggest…

Pros: Location, kitchenettes available, quiet location Cons: Older facility, no breakfast Tips: A kitchenette will enable the preparation of breakfast This is a family owned and family run, older property. Located right on the water, the location is scenic and also allows for boat docking. The facility is very well maintained and clean. We stayed in an efficiency equipped with a single bed and a double bed and cooking facilities. Perhaps because we were there in the off season, we had no room service. Clean towels were available daily on request, otherwise we had to make our own beds. This was of no consequence to us. The spacious room was well equipped with towels, pillows, coffee, and kitchen utensils. Air conditioning was provided by a quiet and efficient wall unit. …

Thanks so much to Bruno and Janet for their hospitality during our family reunion in July of 2015. The Sportsman's Lodge is nostalgia and Old Florida charm wrapped in to one beautiful lodge. The quaint and spacious bungalows have kitchens that are well equipped, private boat dock, sparkling clean pool with shade sails and a large pavilion complete with big screen TV, fireplace, tables, chairs and built in bar. There are French doors that open to the Indian River lagoon and pull down shades for those afternoon showers! This fishing is amazing, many choices for restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance and there is an 'ice house' for your coolers directly across the street! From their choice of linens for the beds to the tasteful décor, Bruno and Janet have created…

Family owned and run comfortable get-away lodge. They offer studios, effiencies, and one bedroom suites--all very reasonably priced. They have a fishing/boat dock on the Indian River, a lovely Pavilion, a washer and dryer, and even BBQ grills. Janet and Bruno are accomodating and personable. Highly Recommended

Okay, so "Super Nana" has to go babysit up in Melbourne Beach and I'm left without a vehicle. I ask Janet and Bruno if they'll be going to Publix today. Bruno says, "Sure", so I ask him to bring me a bottle of white wine. He comes back with two, since they were "buy one get one free". What a guy. There's many reasons why the same people return every year to the Lodge: clean rooms, good guests, nice waterfront set-up, easy walking to restaurants, etc., and the owners--Jan and Bruno.

This is a friendly place to stay where you can fish, relax and visit with friends. Dog friendly too as long as they're not to big. We found it relaxing and everyone cleaned up after their dogs. Definitely going back.

Get away from it all...the snow...the noise...the stress. This a simple, clean place right on the water. It has a pool, a clubhouse, palm trees and plenty of parking. Not only are the owners hospitable, but the guests have been coming for so long that they are now friends. Sebastian itself is friendly to walkers, bikers, dogs, cars...you name it. It has unique stores and the regulars along with playgrounds, art shows and other entertainment. Sportsman's Lodge is a well kept secret where you will feel comfortable near nature and a small town atmosphere.
