The property is one of the low rises but it is worth it. It is right on the beach and across from the complex is a small market and some shops. I loved it because I could walk and bike to everything. My family loved it because they didn't have to carry beach chairs,

To give you a very honest picture, these units were built in the 1950s. Each one is individually owned, so they vary in how much they've been updated. We stayed in unit 19, a ground floor beachfront one bedroom unit. First of all, the location is perfect. You have a private screened in porch that gives you a view of... More

I have stayed at this property three times and have never been disappointed. It's a taste of "old Florida". This property is similar to Siesta Royale, about a half-mile north on Midnight Pass, but with fewer units. Every time I stay here the villas are clean, the kitchens come with everything you need to cook with, and there has always... More

If you like backyard bar-b-que, sunsets, and meeting new people (we always do!) then this is the place. You will be hard-pressed to find any other place that allows such direct access to the beach yet still feels like a community. The units are quite simple, but we're only ever inside to sleep anyway! Worth a long drive and the... More

We loved the place!!! After trying to find a condo in the village, we left it with a bitter taste (read: too expensive!!!) in our mouth. Just before giving up on Siesta, we bumped into this place and spent an amazing week here. The best one in Florida and the Bahamas in a more than a month and a half... More

We stayed during our kid's spring break in 2013. We were in an efficiency on the bottom floor (unit 17 I think) with a view of the gulf. The pool is a heated saltwater system that is fantastic. While the units themselves are a little dated and you can hear the neighbors through relatively thin walls, the pros GREATLY outweigh... More

We visited the area in August (Long Boat Key, Sarasota) and loved it so much we had to come back! We decided to stay in Siesta Key to get to know the rhythm of the island. Stayed in unit #24. Perfect view right on the ocean with a shared patio of 4 or 5 other 2nd floor rooms. Bring your... More

We stayed in #25 which is an oceanfront, 2br unit upstairs. It far exceeded our expectations! Walked down a few steps and onto a small yard (w/bbq grills), crossed a knee-high retaining wall, and you're in the softest sand we'd ever felt between our toes. All this in less than 5 ft if I was guessing. Very clean room with... More

Tiny, beloved Siesta Sun...I grew up going here in the 80's and have so many fantastic memories. I returned twice in the last decade and not a lot has changed. Siesta Sun used to be called Siesta Sun Apartments and an older couple used to run it/own it. I'm glad to see that the current owners haven't changed what works... More
