Our family went swimming at Juniper Springs and were in awe of the natural beauty of this place! The water was cold, but so very clear and clean. It was a great way to beat the heat in July. My son loved the diving platform. We were only at the swimming area for the day and we will go back...

This place is amazingly beautiful. However, it is NOT for beginners. One should have some kayaking experience before doing this. Also, WATCH the video at the concession store. There were a lot of obstacles along the way. The route is about seven miles - it took us tree hours and a half to complete

We stayed overnight here on our way to Gainesville in a pull thru site . It is primitive camping ( no hook ups) but very nice wooded sites. We enjoyed the walking trails and seeing the amazing springs. We had no cell phone service at this park. There is a small store with camping and swimming supplies and canoe rentals...

My husband and I visited Juniper Springs for the day to view Fern Hammock Spring. It was $5 a person for a day entrance pass. The attendant gave us a trail map, and it took us about 10 minutes to get back to the spring. You have to walk through the campground which is a bit confusing, but the campers...

We visited the recreation area last week for just the weekend and had a great time. The camp grounds are very well kept as well as the bath houses. You really need more than just the weekend to see and do everything available here. The recreation area is part of the Ocala National Forest. We hiked 12 miles total on...

We did the canoe trip at the end of September this year. Although we haven’t really had much experience and the route said not for beginners, we figured as we are both young and sporty that we would be fine. Let me tell you we were wrong! The route is definitely not for beginners; I can confirm that. The actual...

We camped in the camp ground with our small 19ft Camper van (no hook ups, but have hot showers) and loved that the campground was a short walk to the "day use area" or spring swimming area. We had the entire place to ourselves in mid October with about 12-15 people swimming in the spring over the course of our...

This spring is very small and it is not a place to snorkel. The swimming area is like a swimming pool and it has a wall around it. It is very deep and if you don't know how to swim don't go in the water without wearing a flooding of any kind. You will need it there. You can camp...

We were passing through from Daytona to Clearwater beach and decided to go a tiny bit out of our way to see this beautiful spring. It was a nice break to get out of the car after a long drive. We were here in August and did the one mile hike to fern hammock spring and back. Its a relatively...

We were camping near by and told about Juniper Springs. Decided to check it out and were really delighted. We took a picnic lunch with us. The concession store closes at 1pm but there are soda machines outside. Other than that, there is no food available after 1. This was on a weekday and I believe the store is open...
