    I haven't been there in a couple months. But if you call they can will let you know if it's all clear and safe to go canoeing.

    The campground has designated camping areas, many of the sites are wooded and they all have bear boxes. I didn't look closely to see if trees would accommodate a hammock, but they looked substantial.
