Great location, great staff, good good at restaurant, amazing marina, very clean shower facilities. Loud neighbors made it impossible to sleep, crazy bar scene produced lots of drinks, very tight camp sites and restrictions on traffic would have helped. If you want sleep, not the place. It's a shame because the location and staff are wonderful

We felt this campground was a good value in the Florida Keys. We rented an Airstream camper, here, and were pleased. The camper was small, but clean. My 6'4" husband was unable to use the toilet or shower. But he said the bath house was very nice. The bed was very comfortable for us, and the kitchen was clean and...

We were traveling in Florida for the first time and had to visit the Keys. We normally RV up in the Pacific Northwest but because we flew in to Orlando we dec'd to tent in a few spots as we traveled. Where can I begin with this place - 80$ dollars to begin with which is more than I've ever...

Sites are way too small, awning almost touched neighbors slide, good thing we had our motorcycle to get around as there wouldn't have been a place to park a car. We witnessed large rvs having a hard time backing into their sites as there is no room for error, no interest in staying there again

We rented a deluxe cabin with bathroom, queen, bunk beds and sofa - which is essentially a permanently affixed travel trailer. We have rented cabins at KOA's before, but never a travel trailer. I must say it was an awesome experience! There were 4 of us and it was perfect. The queen bed area had a sliding door for privacy...

This place is noisy, sometimes plain loud. Onsite bar cranks out live music on some nights that's ridiculously loud. No site on the property can escape it. Quiet hours begin at 11pm so if you 're out exploring all day or being otherwise active and tired out you 'll have to deal with the noise before you can rest up...

Down again the 3rd week in January. Lots of rain but it didn't matter, bands most every night and coconut bowling one night. Our rental RV was squeaky clean again! Very comfortable, large fridge, and a nice touch is the patios and grills at each rental RV. Boats, canoes, bike for rent. Had a great time at the costume party...

Pretty pricey compared to other local options, but if you're after air conditioned bathrooms & showers, this place is for you. We camped here one night with a tent and the noseeums were pretty terrible. These bugs are smaller than fruit flies and in the 3 minutes it took us to set up out tent, we got eaten alive, and...

This was one of the best KOA's we have been too. Large, clean bathrooms and laundry area. There were lots of people, but the site is so spacious we weren't on top of anyone. Weather wasn't great so there were mosquitoes, so remember your bug spray if you want to sit outside.

The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The people staying there were friendly also. Stayed in one of their trailers, clean and well maintained. Will be back next year. The bathrooms were clean as was the pool. The bar was inexpensive and we had a great time. Yes, the lots are close together, but if your down...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Open all year. Set between the crystal clear Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA is a true beachfront resort. You'll find amenities and activities designed to please everyone in the family, local fishing and beachside fun at the campground's own water haven. Dine under swaying palm trees and sip frozen margaritas on the waterfront veranda of the campground's pub. Even your family pet will have fun at the pet playground specifically designed for them. Ever-appealing Key West lies just 14 miles south. Hop on the campground's shuttle to this funky and historic end of the road, dubbed "the Conch Republic." Walk the narrow streets showcasing Conch architecture-breezy wood houses with lush tropical gardens-once home to pirates, treasure hunters, sailors, novelists like Hemingway and songwriters like Buffett. End the day with a sunset at Mallory Pier. ... more   less
