This is a great place to stay and close to the beach! The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was good and the best of all the people from housekeeping to the manager were all very kind and helpful. This is the place to stay when in Surfside. 5 Stars!!
My family and I chose this amazing hotel for our final Summer Vacation. Also we celebrated our sons 8th birthday. We stayed here from Thursday-Sunday. We had the pleasure and warm welcome from all of there staff Especially Rafael. He stood out the most he made sure our stay was at the best of the best. The rooms are extremely spacious and very cleaned as we walked in. The staff would always greet us and wave hello and asked how our beach day was. When asked for fresh towels always delivered quickly. The pool area was amazing and spotless. the cabanas was a hit at no extra cost and we felt VIP being able to enjoy the during the hot summer sun. I had a little minor problem with the fridge and instantly it was fixed. I was so happy and pleased with our stay and we can't wait to go back and enjoy another lovely stay at this hotel. I congratulate the staff in keeping the are always sanitized and welcoming for all guest. Parking was also easy and many shops restaurants and supermarket in the area, it is perfectly situated in a perfect spot for beach and pool access. thank you to the amazing team and staff at Residence Inn By Marriott Miami Beach Surfside Thank you Rafael for making our family feel at home and welcomed. One happy Family The Diaz We CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!…
Excellent attentive staff. (Gary main and Ana from Cuba at front desk are bright, attentive, outstanding service!, thank you!!) Hotel busy. Decent breakfast included and covid restrictions observed. Space nice and comofrtable. Room clean and good space. would love a porch or at least a window to get room aired. How can u have a room with no fresh air circulate? Hotel a block from beach, so face buildings, no beach view. staff honest and accomodating (forgot to provide water). free bikes avail first come first serve, bear by citibank for pay bikes we preferred (more up to date). Parking $41 a nite, so uber is better, added "resort fee" of daily $30 or so for services we didnt need and no way out of it. (beach chair, bike). Hotels whats most important: Nice staff, good location, nice space, clean room. will come back for sure!…
Four of us checked in and we were only offered 2 small waters. Room was average, pull out bed had very stained mattress and no sheets, Several groups of people went out of their way rude and turned their back on us when we safe social distanced but tried to be friendly and offer a greeting, Full breakfast included was cold cereal, muffins.. if covid prohibited basic warm breakfast options the price per room should have been reduuded.
Typical layout and service for a Residence Inn. The property is not as run down as other similar Residence Inn properties I’ve stayed at. The front desk staff is also polite and helpful. They try to recognize Ambassadors, though when I initially checked in, I got a very curt woman who basically told me something that implied “Ambassadors are a dime a dozen”. Thankfully, I got another front desk manager named Jennifer who deserves a shout out for her great work and service. She was super helpful throughout and is very polite and so was the rest of the staff (uncommon in Miami hotels) I encountered. Be aware that your room will only be cleaned once every 5 days! So if you like a fresh room every day, it’s not happening. Don’t make a mess! My room was reasonably clean, but I did get a lot of dust and dirt from the prior guest and I had to wipe down the counters with my own Lysol wipes as they were covered in what appeared to be sticky dried soda. The rooms are in decent shape - not worn down though my door knob is damaged and I had asked the front desk to fix it (see pic). Guests here (not hotel’s fault) don’t wear masks in public areas and had to be reminded to wear masks. Front desk staff was good about that. Expect that your room won’t be ready when you arrive. They posted a 4PM check-in sign and I didn’t get my room for an hour and change even though I checked in on the app and it confirmed my room would be ready at 2PM. The housekeeping is short staffed and they only clean like 20% of the rooms every day (hence the clean your room only once in 5 days). Luckily Jennifer at the front desk got to work to get me a room on time. Normally, I wouldn’t really stay here in non-Covid times except for the value and it’s proximity to where I needed to be in surfside. Also, the hotel is relatively cleaner than most I’ve seen in Miami. …
