We booked this hotel for an overnight stay after the Sting/Billy Joel concert and read the reviews after booking, so we were a little nervous. Valet and check in went smoothly and efficiently, everyone we interacted with were friendly and polite. Our room was clean and quite comfortable and we could see that if we were to stay for an extended period it would work well. The little kitchenette area was more than adequate in that there was dinnerware provided, real plates, not paper. I would have given this review 5 stars if the breakfast was a little better, had to wait several minutes for coffee to be brought out, pastries were on the stale side, and the egg station was unclear on what was offered. Needs a little work there.

Excited to stay in Mid Town Tampa and be in a hub area with convenient shopping and delicious restaurants, these outweigh my experience with the Element hotel brand. The positive, rooms are spacious, clean and provide nice home like additions for a more comfortable stay. The valet crew are excellent, friendly and I never had to wait for my car. The rooftop bar is relaxing and the drinks are very creative. Do try the Kiss of Death margarita, excellent balance of sour and sweet. The food for dinner didn’t appeal to me for the price but maybe it’s more a lunch location. My negative was with the less than welcoming, low energy staff at the front desk and cleaning service. I didn’t feel having to call a few times for clean towels in the morning and then ultimately going to get them myself after waiting 30 minutes was a concern of theirs. Then for the cleaning staff to only empty my trash and not make the beds or leave additional clean towels was disappointing. Overall not a terrible stay, just not wowed

The parking situation is atrocious the valet got angry when we asked for accessible parking options and said its still $25.00. We found an empty accessible spot and parked. No signage or assistance offered for your luggage. The poor FD agents although sweet seemed clueless on how to switch the rooms when I inquired about double bed options. They called a manager Kira I believe who was a breath of fresh air. When we explained our needs she quickly jumped into action and also provided us with the parking pass need. The area is completely under construction but will be marvelous once they figure out a few kinks.

I booked a stay at this hotel based solely on pictures of the rooftop bar and restaurant and I was not disappointed! The hotel is a perfect location with an Italian restaurant, Joffrey's Coffee, Whole Foods, and a little courtyard downstairs. We booked a room with a King-sized bed and were pleasantly surprised that it had a mini-fridge, microwave, dishes (bowls, coffee mugs, cutlery), and a sink to wash the dishes in! The room was a perfect size with a nice view of the little courtyard. Service was exceptional from the valet to the front desk staff. We used the text service for the valet to retrieve our vehicle when we were ready to leave and we never once had to wait as the vehicle was always pulled right up front waiting for us as soon as we got downstairs. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Toshiba. When we were heading to the hotel we thought we made a mistake with our reservation so we called to fix it and Toshiba was very patient and helpful even after we were getting a little panicked she assured us we could fix whatever the issue was (we ended up finding the email we couldn't originally find so there actually was never an issue). The whole experience was great and there is not a single thing I would change. We will definitely be staying there every time we visit Tampa!

Eventually the area might be nice once the development is complete and Whole Food, Shake shack and others finally move in. Currently, the Element and adjoining Aloft is open with construction all around it. You think for a brand new hotel it’d be clean and well appointed. The sheets are scratchy, thin towels from the Hilton, construction dirt/stains in the shower, shower water pressure is minimal. Housekeeping is every 2 days and if you need extra towels good luck getting it. We asked front desk but needed up searching for housekeeper because it was faster. Staying at Element provides breakfast but your selection is limited and the ladies behind the counter are disorganized and confrontational. Expect locals coming to party at roof top bar which causes havoc with parking and valet. If you are looking for a clean, new hotel with nearby restaurants stay somewhere else at least until the development is completed and occupied.

I don't understand all of the negative reviews for this hotel. We had an absolute wonderful stay! From the moment we pulled up to the property, everyone we encountered was extremely polite and professional. The property is gorgeous and the room was very spacious. The breakfast was phenomenal with the hot frittatas and pancakes. It was a welcome surprise to finally not have a pre-packaged breakfast at a hotel due to Covid. My only complaint was the super soft beds, but that is just because I prefer a firm bed. I would not let the negative reviews steer you away from this hotel.

This hotel is all messed up, they should finish building before they open. The shower door fell off the ledge as I was showering. There is no place in the shower to put your shampoo, conditioning and other bottles, you need to put them in the floor! There are coffee mugs in the room but no coffee maker or coffee capsules. There are no laundry or plastic bags in the room. There are two knifes and spoons but only one fork. There is a huge knife but no cutting board. Even with the master switch "on" the bed light keeps going off every half hour, you need to stand up so the motion detector turns the light on. The hotel is a joke, a complete ****show.

Granted this hotel hasn’t been opened this long but they haven’t figured out basic hotel management techniques. It started from the beginning at check in. I booked 2 rooms under one reservation and when I go to check in they only had one room for me. They insisted I had only booked one room even after I showed them the confirmation email showing 2 rooms. After half an hour they found a room luckily. But what a way to start out. Then, my room only had one bar of soap to shower with and wash my hands with. In the shower there’s nowhere to put the soap and shampoo. You literally have to put them on the ground. I have ZERO trash cans in the entire room including the bathroom. And for the “included” breakfast, I asked for a glass of water and they said we don’t do that, you have to buy a bottle of water?!?! I’m paying $700+ per night for a room and I can’t get a free glass of water?
Definitely would not recommend this place unless you have absolutely no other option.

This was a very pleasant experience at the Aloft / Element in Midtown Tampa.
The property was super clean and well maintained BUT what sets this property apart from others is truly the staff. Incredible attention to detail.
Starting with Angel; his inviting manner makes you feel at home right from the start. He is a pro and great to have met him. He is truly a HARD worker and takes pride in the hotel!
The front desk; Carlos and Joe are fantastic. Always there if you need anything.
Both are super pleasant and courteous.
The housekeeping crew ALWAYS asked if we needed anything every time we passed them by in the hallway and would greet us with a welcome back!

The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that a couple basic things were missing: no trash bags in the room. We easily got one from a maid in the hallway. Also, the shower had no shelving at all. The room was quiet and we weren't disturbed at any point. The valets were friendly as well as the bar staff. We enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop bar but did not try the food. We will likely stay here if we return to Tampa.
