The upside: it is cheap, it is right off of I-4, there's a small fridge and freezer and microwave unit in the room, and it is pretty close to the fairgrounds. Those are the reasons I stayed here. But the downsides are numerous. It is...More
On March 15, 2013 around 10:30 PM my wife and I booked The Masters Inn Tampa Fairgrounds over the phone while we were driving into Tampa. We had planned to spend the night on the road prior to getting to Tampa but as I was...More
An ok motel. Greatest thing I can say about it is it was close to where I needed to be. Other than that guess it was suitable enough. The maids had a habit of taking your sheets and not giving new ones. Wendys and a...More
We booked a two double bed room for 4 of us because the hotel is close to the Tampa fairgrounds and we were planning to go for a concert. The room was extremely reasonable, priced at only 60 dollars for 4 people. Rooms were spacious...More
Hate to leave a bad review but this was just disgusting, we stayed because of a concert at the Ford Ampitheater and were thrilled to find something so close/walking distance, but the room was musty/moldy, dirty stains on bed spread, there honestly was a hooker...More

Do rooms look like new pictures? Want to stay night of 4/18. TV selection doesn't have to be perfect, wifi can be spotty for a one night stay (however on business I couldn't survive!)
I NEED comfortable not lumpy, beds. Non smoking room, not smoky or any type of old water mold smell. Im not highly allergic and we pecan spray over a temporary smell, but a deeply set in one will not make us happy! I'm really in the fence. This could become a new place for us a few times a year, even for us to bring a group some. But we need to know the conditions will be good inside the room. If pets there in past, I don't want to know by their urine scent...don't care I have a pet at home. Just don't want to smell it!
Lastly, we know the area, the people don't bother us. We have walked to the Holiday Inn Express and surrounding areas at night. We are just wondering if we can save money. All we need is a great nights sleep to be happy. And a shower...but we don't worry about the small stuff.

Beds were very comfy. Shower was great. The rooms were clean and quite nice, no smoke or pet scents at all. The front desk staff was fantastic. There are things to do nearby, but safer to drive to them. Nothing really close to walk to and not sure I'd consider it anyway. There is a Wendy's just in front of the property and that's about the only thing close enough to walk to safely. But, if you're just looking for a good night's sleep, definitely consider it.
