I wanted to support a historic property, but it did not want to support me. No coffee. The machine on my room did not work, and there were no options except 'walk a few blocks and there is a coffee shop.'

I recently rented several rooms for myself and family for a wedding (at another location.) Really stunning hotel physically. Prices are affordable in my opinion. But with there are a few things missing from what you would expect at such a grand palace. But to me, that's a good thing. No bellhops when I was there to help with luggage,...

I ate in the Crystal Ballroom for a reunion-type dinner with a large group. I was amazed by how beautiful the space is-- very charming. Our server was great-- very attentive and gave great recommendations. She engaged with us to just the right extent-- we were also very eager to talk among ourselves. The salad dressing was especially delicious-- I...

At first blush, this hotel is gorgeous. It feels so luxurious when you walk in, like you are stepping back in time 100 years and traveling in the finest style. And then there's reality. The parking lot is tiny and there were no spaces available when i arrived. After circling 15 min, I finally parked in front of the dumpster,...

We made a reservation for a King room and received confirmation. When we checked in the desk clerk didn't say anything about us having a double room. When we arrived up to room it was a double. This was a trip for us to get away and spend "alone" time together, now we are stuck in a double bed. When...

One of the most beautiful hotels I have seen. Very charming, classic, and elegant. Staff was very nice, accommodating and helpful. Way better than a big chain hotel! Pretty centrally located, we were able to walk everywhere downtown Tampa, as well as to Ybor City. Will definitely be back!

Our family stayed here once prior to moving to Tampa. Now that we live here and work downtown we have dined in either the main dining room or the area off the bar near the lobby a half dozen times and never had a bad meal. It's a beautiful old hotel, and the food is quite good, but nobody knows...

On the surface, the hotel is lovely. Lobby is gorgeous, miles of marble and turn of the century gilt. Looking more closely tho the peeling paint on the ceiling in the restaurant, chipped hand rails and burnt out light bulbs are apparent. Rooms are spacious and ornately decorated, but amenities and maintenance details make it look like they are on...

If you're looking for a sleek, modern hotel, this is not for you. However; if you appreciate the beautiful old buildings of an age gone by then this is it. From the Lobby with it's soaring ceilings and massive chandeliers, to the small but equally beautifully wood-paneled elevators, to the old U.S. Mail shoots (Postcards anyone?). This is quite unique....

Decided to stop in downtown over the weekend and most places in the area were very expensive for 1 night. We decided on The Floridan Palace and it ended up great. The lobby was decorated very historic to match the time of the hotel. We knew nothing about until arriving and felt like we went back in time. The floor...
