This place is great if you like an old feel with modern touches. The hotel has been restored to its original style with modern features like flat screen tvs and nice beds. The staff was great our bartender/ waiter was new to the hotel but was very friendly and helpful and knew his job well. We had booked a room...

While the Floridan Palace is a beautiful hotel with all the historic appointments, it lacks in the pleasantries of a modern hotel. Our large room, with two queen beds, was clean, however, the placement of the tv on a side wall of the room made it difficult to watch tv from your bed (you had to lay on your side)....

We traveled to Tampa for National Championship game. The rooms were freezing - heat was broken and they were "out of blankets". We needed a last minute place to stay on a night when all the hotels in Tampa were booked. Despite arriving late, the staff greeted us warmly and treated us like honored guests. I can't say enough positive things about Camille, who helped put a comforting end to a long day. Thank you!

A short stop on our honeymoon for the National Championship game. Two basic expectations for rooms in that you want a nice toilet, shower, bathroom and a clean bed to sleep in. This hotel was terrible. Bad staff that was unhelpful. Beds in room didn't have comforters, towels, sheets and toilet paper were terrible. I would much prefer staying at a Hampton inn that is reliable rather than this place.

This gorgeous hotel was in a newly revitalized (still ongoing) area of Tampa. Unfortunately for the hotel it isn't crowded. The hotel itself is an historic gem brought back to life. My wife and I reserved 2 rooms for the Groomsmen in our Son's wedding. We did this to provide a comfortable atmosphere for them after the rehearsal dinner and their night on the town. This is a small older hotel that has been redone and is lovely. Our room was huge and beautifully furnished. The lobby is gorgeous with a decorative ceiling and crystal chandeliers.
