My husband and I were in Tampa to see a spring training ballgame and stayed at the Fairfield Inn. So glad we decided on that hotel. When we arrived, Alex at reception, greeted us warmly with a smile and quickly checked us in. Our king suite was thoroughly cleaned and spacious. We were concerned our suite was situated across from the elevator banks but we never heard any noise for our entire stay. During our stay, we were constantly greeted warmly by the reception folks when coming in or leaving the hotel, which was such a nice gesture. The morning breakfast which was included was plentiful. Some items were: hot/cold cereal, eggs/omelets, bacon/sausage, fresh fruit and bagels/sweet rolls, juice/coffee. The area was kept spotless by Robert, who greeted each person who stepped into the area with a "good morning" and if you needed anything he was there to assist. We sat around the pool one morning and there were staff members all over sweeping and keeping the entire outside of the hotel clean. I just can't say enough about the entire staff, how professional and kind everyone was and just how clean the hotel was kept. We made the best choice staying at Fairfield and highly recommend the hotel.

The Fairfield by Marriott Tampa Westshore / Airport has excellent check-in service. All the Staff were very professional and help with all the questions I had about the area (malls and dining). Hotel is updated and very clean. A great place to stay. They serve a very good breakfast Close to airport and cruise terminal but far away so you don't hear plane and terminal noise.

Stayed for one night, assigned to room 104. The property is a typical Fairfield Inn- with one surprising exception. The room was absolutely the cleanest I’ve seen since COVID. The bathroom was immaculate, the bedsheets had a pleasant smell that indicated they had been properly disinfected and cleaned (not perfumed.) The closet had the aroma of new cedar. As we left our room to check out, THREE pleasant housekeeping staff members were ready to enter the room to clean it.
If they’d replace the older carpet with hard surface floors, the room would be perfect.
The luggage carts were great, perhaps new. The free breakfast was as expected, and the scrambled eggs seemed “real” - not the powdery fake eggs that sometimes are passed off in free breakfast offerings. Can’t speak to the pool situation- it rained all during our stay.
If I’m in the area again this property will be my first choice.

The only reason this hotel is getting average was because of the pool. We were a vacationing family who chose this hotel for the free breakfast mostly and fair pricing. Our room on the 4th floor had rotten dirty carpet, and smelled of musk and dampness. The room had zero airflow, we would keep the door open at times to get the musky smell out of the room. The washer and dryers don't actually dry the clothes, we paid for 1.5 hours and the clothes were still damp and wet. We requested a blanket be delivered to the room and didn't get it, they just didn't bring it. The breakfast was mediocre, all prepackaged warmed food. The only thing they make is oatmeal and that ran out at 9am, I asked if they could make more (many others wanted it), "no sorry", the girl working the "kitchen" spent the entire time on her phone rather than restocking and manning the breakfast buffet. My kids dreaded the breakfast each day because of what it offered. My kids were playing in the hall and noticed that behind the baseboards the walls were INFESTED with ants. Stay away from this place. The pool is amazing, that's it.

Tried to ask a simple question, is it a location policy to change the channel to Faux News in the lobby? I had been staying across the street at the Residence Inn for the past 8 months before being priced out by NY Yankees spring training. Came in Sunday, Super Bowl coverage was on. Monday left and came back to propaganda and lies in the lobby, same on Tuesday but asked about when I came back from work. Was told there was no policy regarding the TV. Same thing on Wednesday, asked them to change the channel. 2 minutes later back to lies.

You lost a Lifetime Ambassador Elite Titanium customer, cancelled all my reservations until I can go back to the Residence Inn in April.

I have had great experiences here in the past. Tonight the deadbolt on my door was broken and the door would not shut. The person at the desk was not able to leave the desk and look at it because there was nobody else on property. No engineering or housekeeping either. They were sold out so they could not move my room. I was told that my options were to sleep with the door open or leave. The person at the desk called his manager and I could hear him being reprimanded for calling so late. Then the front desk attendant became rude and said I got him in trouble and what did I want from his life. I ubered to my home, which is over an hour away. I am not understanding why they didn't offer to move me to another hotel. They also would not give me a refund. I called the ambassador line and they called the hotel and confirmed sleeping in a room without a door was the only option the hotel was willing to provide. They opened a case to investigate. A totally crazy night but I would be very cautious staying here. I'm not sure what changed but it certainly is not the same hotel I have enjoyed in the past.

Great hotel near the airport and felt very safe at this property. AC was good. Breakfast was good - muffins, Jimmie Dean breakfast sandwiches that you heat up in microwave, bananas, yogurt, etc. Used their complimentary airport shuttle and that worked perfectly. The hotel had a nice weight room too. The night I stayed, was too tired to go out and ordered Door Dash to deliver right to hotel. I met the driver near the hotels front door. Would stay again.

m a pilot who owns a plane and constantly fly to different destinations. I booked this hotel because the had an airport shuttle. When I arrived I called the hotel and Spoke with Sean. I asked if they had a shuttle to and from the airport and he said yes. He asked where I was, and I stated at the Signature FBO. He asked is that Blue 1 or Blue 2. I replied its the Signature FBO where private flights land. He stated they don't pick up from there. I said that I was told you pick up from the airport and Signature is at the airport. He then said you can wait there but I'm not coming to pick you up. I asked why the attitude and he hung up on me. I immediately called Marriott's corporate office and filed a complaint. I then caught a ride to the hotel and he was at the front desk with another female employee. I walked up to her and stated how incredibly rude Sean was. He then started yelling at me. I told her I was gong to video tape his aggressiveness and she stated that is not allowed. So i asked her to cancel my reservation ... which she did.

I would strongly recommend anyone stay away from this property as long as Sean is employed there as he is rude, disrespectful and aggressive towards customers and needs to be fired!!!!!

These 2 stays were our 2nd and 3rd times staying here. The staff here is beyond wonderful. They are all so friendly and helpful. Brent couldn't have been more helpful. He saw that we were having a bit of an emergency so he provided refreshments and a quiet conference room before our room was available, and he took our son to the airport as soon as we secured a flight. Cameron was also very helpful during our stay. These people are the definition of customer service.

i always stay at marriott’s when i visit tampa so i have this one a try
I made a request for towels since i used them and housekeeping didn’t think it would be a problem since the cart was 2 doors down. got neither chat on the app did nothing which you can see. eventually went down to get my own towels only to see another customer who just checked in complain about a dirty room. i will never stay at this location and i would suggest the same. it is evident the ownership of this hotel cuts corners and does not care to live up to the marriott brand and the whole experience indicates that. a one star hotel would have been a better option than this one.
can’t wait for the form response to this review as not for a second do they card they got the money for the stay so my suggestion is spend the extra 20 a night and stay elsewhere.
