I ended up taking this last minute trip to the Keys and needed to find a place available and decently priced (Spring break time). This place was a decent location, but not much exciting around it. It was clean, the front desk lady was nice,...More
Way overpriced for nothing, there's no ice machine , phone, broken shades, and shower was terrible , never again ! , and not even ADA COMPLIANT , staires everywhere , only the VERY BASIC NECESSITIES , , if all you want is a bed ,...More
Historic here only meant old, but not restored. Clean and doable, internet in lounge, small room and shower. Location is not a destination. New coffee shoppe, lunch room adjoining was very nice. No odors in this dry season.
Being as the price paid was reasonable none of us was expecting a great deal but even then we felt let down. Thank goodness the sheets and towels were clean and the bed was comfortable (even though it creaked every time one of us moved)...More
Stayed here for 2 nights so we could visit Key West and general area. Having read the damning reviews I was rather concerned about what to expect, but as the price was one of the cheaper hotels on Booking.com, I went open minded.

Typically the winter months (December - March) are considered the tourist season, but in the Keys you never know because the weather is always so wonderful. Best advise go on line to find hotels/motels where you want to stay and check the rates now. AVOID the Tavenier Inn at all costs it is a smelly dump - I walked in the room, walked back out and LEFT, paid $117 for 1 night there (which I never got back) had to go down the road to find a room (very nice though at the Bay Harbor Lodge but the room cost $208.13 for 1 night). Best advise research places, prices and reviews NOW.
